At this point, the comp pick you’d get for Ertz is just as good as what you’d get in a trade.  You guys laughed at me last offseason when I said it was time to trade Ertz.  Now it’s too late and you might as well keep and use him.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Yeah, it wasn't about unloading Goff's contract. Rams want to win a Super Bowl. That won't happen with Goff. Stafford gives them a chance. Lions are rebuilding and get a nice haul for it. Trade makes sense for both teams. Though the Rams are the one team that maybe couldn't afford trading a couple 1s...

With the effort he gave last season I feel like we'd see him walk his routes and barely lift his arms to catch the ball next season

What happened HE?  Did they give a reason?

the big snowstorm we are having.

I know a lot of us assume we’ll be quiet in FA, but my guess is Howie will make some moves and guarantee salaries or backload the hell out of them in the future in order to get talent. I think it’ll be an eventful offseason.

Pretty wild to think Goff is 26 and Wentz is 28.  Just shows how the age of players when you draft them can come into play.

For instance, Derek Barnett is STILL just 24.  He'll be 25 in June.  Feels like he's been an Eagle for a decade.

Andre Dillard is already 25 and will be 26 before the halfway point next season.  He has 3-4 games under his belt where Barnett has played 4 seasons and still younger than him.

Jordan Mailata turns 24 in March.

Devonta Smith will be 23 mid-season.  Kyle Pitts turns 21 around the same time and Jamar Chase will be 21.  Not saying that's a reason to not draft Smith just for comparison sake.

Maybe the Canadian fireman screwed me up but I think age should definitely come in to play when creating your draft board.

2 WR's and only 1 CB ? and a late CB at that.

DiCaprio Bootle has a cool name and hes very physical. So I like him.

2 WRs are needed. Maybe more.

Ill take Rhodes or Hooker, and Mack.

Thats all I need. 2 players, and our draft is fine with me.

Since QB clarity isn’t an option, the top priority is OL clarity.

If Mailata and Dillard can be bookend tackles, great.  If not, pray for Sewell.

If no Sewell either by no need or not available, I want 2 pass catchers to build the offense around. We need 2, not 1.

Age absolutely matters.

We are all optimists on draft day.  And a 20 year old stands to have more physical and developmental upside.

Barnett may be 24, but he’s the epitome of a "he is who he is.”  He’s 24, but he’s not changing one bit.

Smith may not be far off that comparison (despite being older for his draft year).  He’s never going to get faster, heavier, or stronger.  Never.  But, as is, he’s one of the most uncoverable WRs in NCAA history and plays at a higher level than Alabama’s other first round picks.

I’m not a Chase fan, but that’s for other reasons.

Please don't will this into existence.

Curious what we'd get for Ertz after that lackluster effort he gave us during a contract year. He also wants a mega deal

i want the bill 3rd rounder but would settle for a fourth

only way i see that happening is for a wr

The only FA additions that would interest me are salvage projects on failed 1st and 2nd round picks on expiring rookie contracts.

Mialata can be a starting cornerstone tackle.  If they take a tackle at 6 then it better be with the plan to trade Lane to pick up another first.

Trading Lane makes his cap hit go from 18 million to 29 million

Lane can’t be traded on that contract anyway.

Eventful is including all the cuts and trades we’ll need to make to get under the cap. I don’t think he’ll go crazy in FA, but I don’t think he’s gonna sit it out and add only cheap players.

John Ross ( I know, I know, E45 and speed) is someone whose tires I’d kick in FA.  That kick might get him injured, but for a 1-2 year salvage project at 1-2m per year (if that’s what his range ends up being), I’d bring him in to push everyone else and compete.

We have 3 players that profile as a Z (Reagor, Hightower, Watkins). We have no one who profiles as a X as Fulgham/JJAW won't cut it.

Wondering about the Eagles' potential interest in Rashawn Slater. Seems like their kind of pick.

I would let him battle for LG to start. I still feel like Isaac is the weak link and if Brooks has another injury our guard situation is decimated once again. If everyone is healthy and Slater wins the LG spot, that makes Isaac the top back up and he can play anywhere across the line. Perfect world that's what happens. If not Slater at 6, there's a couple others I'd be fine with in round 1.

The idea of Lane Johnson isn't a crazy one...just contractually, it doesn't make sense yet.  Not this year.  From a player standpoint absolutely.  Lane is going to be the new Ertz.  Trade him before it's too late.
