I have zero faith in him drafting a superstar anywhere in the draft though. And I have zero faith that he will use the extra picks wisely.

When you get up to 6 (and aren't drafting a QB), the chances of utter and complete failure drop significantly.  If he bombs this one, it will be the final nail in his coffin.  Trading back gives him excuses to miss.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Going from 8 to 6 costs a 2021 3rd. I'd gladly do that.

If Chase is off the board, I'm with this 100% You're missing out on 1 position player at worst.

He should have already had the final nail... Many many times at this point to be honest. But yeah I do see your point bud. When you think that very likely 2 QBs (if not more) are going to go before us then we should be in a very very good position.

Carolina apparently offered pick 8 for Stafford. Perhaps we could interest them in an unused 6th overall pick?

WTF offered a 1st and a 3rd for Stafford. I haven't watched many Lions games is Stafford that good?

Howie is going to draft an average starter at #6 and 3 years from now Afan will be posting about how that’s better than expectations for the spot.

I'd love to trade back. I have zero faith in Howie drafting any super star at 6, so I'd like to drop back and acquire more picks for Howie to blow.

I don't want to trade back I want the best player available. And no Howie should not be trusted.

How about we just nail the pick. It’s kind of important that we do. Tell Howie there’s a Star Wars Convention or some sh!t on Draft night.

"Last week, I wrote about Brandon Staley’s crazy road to the Chargers’ coaching job. In 27 hours, he went from walking off the field in Green Bay after a Rams’ playoff loss to a 2.5-hour Zoom interview for the Texans coaching job to being interviewed for the Chargers job to being offered and accepting the Charger job in a southern California conference room. He told me he was so happy he got the LA offer because he couldn’t imagine how he’d put his best foot forward next—flying across the country to Florida to interview for the Eagles head-coaching job. On Monday. The Eagles are famous for their seven- to 11-hour coaching interviews. In what universe is this logical, and how does it result in the best candidates being vetted?"

Last 3 Eagles coaches: 1999-2020
- Pederson
- Kelly
- Reid

Last 5 Chargers coaches: 1999-2020
- Riley
- Schottenheimer
- Turner
- McCoy
- Lynn

Maybe there's something to having long interviews to make sure that arguably the most important decision a franchise can make is the right one.

And Denver, & WFT.

Like I said yesterday, this narrative that Goff had negative value in the trade was completely incorrect and a hot take.  Rams had to give more because they dont have a 2021 first and it’s likely their 2022 and 2023 first round picks will be in the 25-32 range.

I would have taken #8 if I were Detroit, but I don't eat kneecaps.

In 466 pass-blocking snaps, Sewell allowed seven pressures and no sacks.

A salary cap of 180M is bad news for all parties, so of course the NFL is going to do that.

Pretty sure they have to , Revenue was down from almost zero ticket sales, viewership/ratings were down ALL YEAR long which means that may impact the revenue from the TV market, depending on timing of deals etc.  2021 may not be much better, if they keep losing fans interest.

Such a successful franchise like the Chargers should be copied 🙄🙄

I wouldn't know why the owners wouldn't try to figure out some kind of one year salary cap freeze.  That would show a little good faith to the NFLPA and help bridge this situation.  If not, there is going to be alot of talent on the street.

I think Darrisaw ends up best OT of the class. Imo should be first tackle drafted but will end up the third.

Pro Football Focus, Darrisaw played 668 snaps (293 pass-blocking) and didn't allow a sack or quarterback hit. He only allowed six quarterback pressures all season

Yup, keep letting the social justice warriors take over the league and your revenues will continue to drop.

Get woke, go broke.

I can tell you why, because they did not make anywhere near the $ they were budgeted to make in 2020. A freeze would keep them where they are, or possibly make even less money because surely some TV revenue will decrease based on this past years ratings.

So to mitigate the lost revenue to some extent, they lower the cap, and with using what is projected to be another down year in Revenue, they will make a few more $$$ than they did last year, but probably not anywhere near what they would have made if last year was a normal year. So still not making as much as they used to, but a little more than this past year.

This is untrue. More and more consumers want companies/brands to take stands, and support them with their wallets. This is especially true among younger consumers, who advertisers care about the most. Advertisers, of course, are what ultimately pay for the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, etc.

Yeah sure...which is why the NBA immediately changed position on putting that crap on the playing floor.

They were losing money, and will continue to.

Andre Dillard faced 810 pass blocking snaps...nearly triple of that and has very comparable stats.  I'm not a Dillard fan but I would much rather give him the chance to develop instead of giving up on yet another draft pick and using a top 10 on his replacement when there are so many other positions of need.

After an excellent sophomore campaign, Dillard once again finished the season as one of the premier OTs in the country. With just 2 sacks allowed and 22 total pressures over a whopping 810 pass blocking snaps (most in the NCAA), Dillard once again finished up as one of the highest-graded pass-blockers in the country

I guess I'd envision them being able to see beyond individual financial years.   Revenue lost is big, but I can't imagine that they took an overall loss on the business of a franchise.  Their GOP was surely down, but so were many fixed costs tied to an empty stadium.   TV being down is certainly a major revenue problem for them....that stream dictates alot.   I don't know.  I just think that if they could find a way to operate and show good faith that it would pay off in the long run.

I'm talking OTs in general,  I dont think eagles should draft one early..I would focus on DBs and backers.

1st time in my remembered life I won't be watching the Super Bowl. Just no desire to see Brady play in another one or Andy win another one.

Gents I give you the Click article of the day, (and it's early)

Headline reads " Albert Breer says Carson Wentz isnt exactly happy to be in philly"

Yet inside the article when you click the link, here is what it states

QB Carousel Begins - Iggles Blitz
We don’t know where Wentz’s head is. Does he want to make this work? Does he want to stay with the Eagles? The Eagles need a clear, decisive answer from Wentz before they can make plans.

so they dont know, but we heard Albert Breer say he isn't happy based on Alberts opinion and nothing else, so we only use that as a headline AS CLICK BAIT. LMFAO

This is exactly why I loathe the current state of media, is this news to anyone? Is this worthy of him making money from this?  Him having a career doing this is like every kid getting a participation trophy for getting out of bed in the morning

. Like NO sheet shirlock, and all that matter is what Wentz and the Eagles are saying to each other.

No offense you are speaking from your own perspective. The truth is, the social justice creeping into the game drove fans away, you can argue thats stupid, or racist if you want, but it still did just that.

Advertisers pay on the reach of the audience, what age groups, what demographics, and total numbers.  I can assure you as the total numbers go down, so will the advertising dollars.
