I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

The best investment I have made was the NFL Game Pass.  It allow you to watch the condensed version of games.  My biggest problem with the games is there  are so many commercial breaks.  It's telling that the condensed version of games rarely lasts more than about 50 minutes and broadcasts take 3 hours.  They need to shorten commercial breaks.  I mean European Football has no commercial breaks and is unquestionably the most popular professional sport in the world.  I think most of the loss of viewership relates to the seemingly increased amount of commercial breaks.  I mean it's not unusual for their to be only one play in between 10 minutes of commercials.

Dude, you dont have to tell me about commercials.  You cant escape them.  They're everywhere.  On TV, radio, YouTube.

At least on YouTube you can skip them after 5 seconds.  Maybe in the future TV will be like that where you can skip commercials.

I agree and I use it but I find myself fast forwarding thru commercials quite a bit still.

Does nobody in here watch the RedZone channel? It's the best thing the NFL has come up with in the last 20 years as far as watching on TV goes. If the Eagles are on, I'm watching them only. If they aren't, I just put on the RedZone channel and enjoy. It's fantastic.

Nope, I also did away with the NFL channel. If the Eagles aren't on I listen through the website to Merrill

We have a package up here called DAZN. $20/month (and you can cancel anytime) and it's got every NFL game (as well as other sports). RedZone included. Which reminds me, I need to cancel until September.

I don't disagree with you, but if he turns in a 4.35 on his pro day, I'll be intrigued.  If he runs a 4.52, then he's just another great TE/H-back prospect.

If he runs 4.5 at 240 lbs with great hands and great route running, he's worthy of #6.

The idea that great receivers are "burners" simply doesn't jibe with the list of career yardage leaders who played since the turn of the century.

Rice, Fitzgerald, Owens, Bruce, Steve Smith, Reggie Wayne, Carter, Boldin, Tim Brown, Marshall, Ward and Mason

The only "speed' guys are Moss, Andre Johnson, Harrison, Holt and J Jones.

notice two TEs among the leaders, Gonzalez and Witten.

This is all the confirmation I needed that he was overrated.  Thank you for your reply.

Clearly the Rams and McVay do as well

Stafford > Wentz my guy it’s just reality

If Collins last to 37, it  would be the steal of the draft.

Nice size can run ,cover and pressure the QB ,first rd pick imo.

That's a heckuva draft. Really like Zaven Collins.  Paris Ford that late would be a steal.

You're Fing crazy if you think some of those guys are better then him. This is a personal hate. Did he bang your wife or something?

Yeah I tend to personally hate QBs that have been in the NFL for 11 years and have never won a playoff game.  That's horrendous.

If Howie gets Wade in the 4th, he deserves his own statue.

Caplan on Dennard Wilson...

“[The Jets] are a little surprised that he left. They headed into Senior Bowl week thinking he was staying. To say that he was one of the best coaches on their defense would be an understatement. He, apparently, is really good and an excellent teacher, and he’s been a good story of development as a [defensive backs] coach. Former player, didn’t play in the league for very long, but he actually started his career in scouting. They really like him; I know that they think this is a loss.”

Apart from the coaches and the draft, does anybody know if we are getting a new medical staff again this year.  Its par for the course.

Going out and getting a really good player from a really bad team seldom works out well; they carry some of that vibe with them.

I'm hoping we find out that the absurd amount of injuries this team has endured since the SB season are a product of the coaching staff including the strength and training guys.  I finally heard Howie Long call them out on Colin Cowherd a few weeks back in regards to the way this team prepares itself for the season.

Agreed.  I'm not questioning his talent, and maybe he really was a product of a bad team for 11 years straight, but to absolve him of ALL the blame is silly.  He had his chances to carry a few good teams on his back.  He didn't.  His record in that division is putrid overall.

Yup.  I mean if we magically manage to stay relatively healthy this upcoming season I dont think it will be an aberration.  Too many icecreams make you soft as the saying goes. 🙂

If he didn’t play for the lions I’d be in agreement. There’s a reason the lions have one playoff win in like 50 years. He also got screwed in that Dallas game. Again i don’t think he is a top 5 QB. But i do think top 12 and likely with mcvay top 10.

Plus, the Rams have really boxed themselves into a corner on this trade; Stafford has to get them where they want to go, almost immediately.  He’s under contract for two more seasons at a $20M cap hit and $23M hit — what about after that?  What number are you extending a 35 year-old Matt Stafford at?

There are a lot of parallels between Goff and Wentz.  I would be beyond livid if the Eagles traded away two 1sts, a 3rd, and Wentz — just to get Matt Stafford in the building.
