There are a lot of parallels between Goff and Wentz.  I would be beyond livid if the Eagles traded away two 1sts, a 3rd, and Wentz — just to get Matt Stafford in the building.

I think it was an idiotic trade for the Rams unless they somehow win a SB the next two years. I’d also be mad if the eagles did that trade. However i think the Rams see that they can’t go any further with Goff and if they continue down that road they likely waste the team they have that defensively is capable of being a SB defense. And they have mcvay and talent on offense to win a SB. They got to a SB by a fortunate missed call and then Goff was bad in the super bowl when it would’ve taken just two touchdowns to win it 

I don’t think Stafford is close to that value and i believe it blows up in their face in 2 years but he is clearly an upgrade from Goff especially with mcvay.

Yeah, that trade is putrid.  They seem to have been doing this for awhile now, but they have completely mortgaged their entire future again on the next 2 years.  They won't even be able to draft young talent at the QB position unless they strike gold in a later round.  I'd rather go into a full blown rebuild than count on Matt Stafford to bring my city a Lombardi trophy.

According to a league source, the #Vikings are expected to hire former Eagles strength and conditioning coach Josh Hingst. He’d been in Philadelphia since 2013; had worked in Jacksonville and at Nebraska before that.

Stafford, although he had a defensive coach 8 years of the 11 he was in Detroit, only had a top 15 defense once.  once in 11 years. Just for comparison. Goff has had a top 15, 3 of the 4 years.

Actually the Eagles just tell you they were highly sought after. We have no way of knowing.

I like that they retained Moorehead. Call me crazy, but I thought Watkins and Hightower flashed something this year. Yes, they need a lot of work and are likely never more than the third or fourth best WR on the depth chart, but for where they were drafted, I am bullish on both. 

Fulgham could be really good, could be complete trash, or could be somewhere in between. The fact is he played his best ball when Carson had full trust in him and didn't have to worry about that serpent Jeffrey. Fulgham wasn't just good in that stretch, he was best in the entire league for a month. Again, lots to work on, and he may turn into nothing at all. I'm bullish on him too, but only if Wentz stays. I don't think he had such a great rapport with Hurts, but again, the slithering snake man AJ was always around.

Reagor, well, he disappointed, but I'm not really to declare him a bust or trash. He did show some flash, although his highlight of the year was a punt return, which is probably not what you want for your first round receiver. But that return did show that he has NFL level speed at least. JJAW would never be able to return a punt for a TD, unless he fielded it at the 50 yard line, and the entire punt unit ran past him to the endzone, thus having to turn around and chase him from behind. And they still might catch him. But I digress. I'm iffy on Reagor, but like the GME stock I have, all I can do is hold for now. 

I hope some continuity with Moorehead can help these guys. Maybe it can't, but I'm a little bit optimistic. I wouldn't mind Chase in the first, but I also wouldn't be upset if they go defense instead. 

And maybe, just maybe, I've been saddled watching such dreck at the receiver position for so long with this franchise, that I can't even remember what good WR play looks like anymore.
