Which is fair but then I don't understand why he can't speak out? He's apparently stopped putting "Fly Eagles Fly" on his tweets etc so I mean at some point we've got to look so the maths and say " OK two plus two is four here".

Seriously? How is that a thing? This is why I think people just don't like him

I just went on his account and even before his horrible season he didn't always put that in his tweets

Fulgham basically cosigned the tweet

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I have not been up to speed on this debate. I just have one observation.  You sure are Mr. "Bet Me” guy.  And most of the topics you get all puffy chested about and wanting to bet people aren’t really topics that you can prove a winner or a loser.  Like when we call you a Steeler fan because you own a  Steeler Jersey and tickets, you reply with something like "nope, I’ve been a Eagle fan for .........long”.  Like how is a bet like that settled?   You said you were big on the drag scene.  And have known Duce Staley and Fletcher Cox from the drag scene.  But when pressed on proof, you disappear.

Now as far as the Stafford discussion, I would agree with you more.  Again.  Just an observation.  Don’t believe me?  Wanna bet?   JK

I don’t use Twitter, but my limited understanding is when you re-tweet someone else’s tweet, it implies you’re in full agreement with them.

Andre Dillard faced 810 pass blocking snaps...nearly triple of that and has very comparable stats.  I'm not a Dillard fan but I would much rather give him the chance to develop instead of giving up on yet another draft pick and using a top 10 on his replacement when there are so many other positions of need.

After an excellent sophomore campaign, Dillard once again finished the season as one of the premier OTs in the country. With just 2 sacks allowed and 22 total pressures over a whopping 810 pass blocking snaps (most in the NCAA), Dillard once again finished up as one of the highest-graded pass-blockers in the country

I agree but you need 5 guys that can play T so where is Lane and Driscoll ? In a supposedly OL rich draft do you take one of the 3 in the early to mid 1st round or take your chances finding a gem later. All 3 of those guys are good though, Slater is suppose to be the most versatile. C is the most concerning in that Kelce could hang them up any day and I haven’t seen a decent replacement yet

Even this went over my head until I realized what I was looking at.  Travis Fulgham retweeted something another dude said, correct?  😂

I promise I'm not that old.

Winter Storm Orlena update from NC.  I was able to drain almost all of the rain water off the top of the pool cover, finally.  I know people were concerned.  We’re all in this together.

But do you have enough bread and milk?

Wentz not putting out a statement or tweet or whatever stating that he wants to be here and be the QB absolutely means something. He’s had every chance to put this thing to bed and hasn’t. Either he and his agent are being dumb or he is annoyed and is thinking long and hard about asking out.

Going radio silent is not the smart play if he truly wants to be here.

He's doing exactly what the report said he was going to do. Go back home, step away and contemplate his future. If he doesn't know what he wants he's obviously not going to say anything definitively. And if the Eagles don't know what he wants, they aren't going to commit to him being here or being the starter. It's that simple but everyone demands he make up his mind now when he doesn't have to.

Do you think any single person who has a role in deciding whether Carson is still on the team, hasn't had a conversation about whether he wants to stay on the team? Beyond that who matters? It's not the media.  He's not talking to anyone and when he does he will say what he thinks.  A tweet, statement, interview or other media statement just doesn't impact what happens to him.

The only time he really tweets anything is after a win, something sponsored, or family related. It would be ideal if he came out and said something along the lines of wanting to stay here, but I think people are making too big of a deal about it. I personally don't care if he's silent/invisible until camp. He just had the worst season of his career and probably wants to put it behind him. He doesn't owe anybody anything, despite "reports" coming out saying he isn't happy. The only thing I care about is him buying into Sirianni and the offensive staff and putting in a full offseason of work.

Well Reagor did have a better rookie season than JJAW did.

I think it’s naive to think saying he wants to be here publicly if he does want to be here doesn’t matter when it comes to the fan base.

I don’t disagree with anything you said, just stating that the silence means something.

I honestly do not care if he speaks or not.  Let the new coach get his staff in place, and then on to the draft.  He has no need to speak IMO.

Sad as it sounds, but without any $$ to spend in FA, the Eagles might have to double-dip again at DB in the draft.  Aside from Slay, there’s just nothing there — unless you want to move Maddox inside as a nickel CB.  NRC, Leblanc, and Mills are all UFA, McLeod is entering the final year on his deal as a 31 year-old safety coming off another ACL.  Unless they want to start K’Von Wallace to see what they have, the Eagles are looking at drafting a CB2 and a free safety at a minimum.

Ertz needs to be gone, Rodgers is UFA so TE is thin.  Alshon and D-Jax need to go to free up cap, JJAW shouldn’t be a roster spot so WR is thin.  DL Malik Jackson is gone.  Maybe have to choose between Graham and Barnett.  LB needs help.  Lots of roster holes all over.

Depending on where the cap is set and how many restructures Howie elects to do, he may try to find help from the clearance bin in FA for the devalued positions — a RB2 and some LB help to make use of very limited cap resources

I’m confused how the topic went to social justice issues when it’s obvious the cap is 100% Covid related, but the NFL doesn’t even talk about it much, and it doesn’t really impact anything on the field. Players have a saying on their helmet, oh no.

Definitely too many commercials. But I also think team loyalty is dying as well. My daughter and youngest son are all Eagles fans. But if the eagles suck they see no need to watch them. I'm turning the game on or listening to it (if it isn't on T.V. here) every week no matter how bad they suck.

But we didn’t grow up with the entertainment options our kids have had from day one.

The season hasn’t even ended yet.  The new league season doesn’t begin until March 17.  Only discussion needed from Wentz is with Howie and Sirianni.  The media can pound sand.

Wentz has already spoken with Sirianni; do you suppose Deshaun Watson has had any discussions with Culley or Cesario yet?

Who said anything about the media? This is about him communicating to the fans.

One thing all these "teaching" coaches suggest is trading down is a real possibility, as is a lot of stress on top UDFAs (you want a real opportunity to make a NFL roster?) and SFAs, waiver wire guys and raiding PS once the season starts.

With no pressure to win in 2021, this coaching staff can focus on finding and coaching hidden gems, and they'll probably approach the draft focused on upside, not immediate help.

Ironically, they may have a better record next year, b/c with a lot of young players fighting for jobs, they'll be faster and more athletic, and if the staff is as good at teaching as advertised, by the second half of the season some players will be "coming out of nowhere" to help this team. And going younger, with a better conditioning program, they might finally beat the injury bug that has killed them the last three seasons.

Which is why I'd just forget the "we need a WR" type draft analysis - this is one season where they can truly go after BPA b/c they know they'll find a way to get that player into the lineup.

I’m guessing he doesn’t really care about the fans. Many of whom crapped on him and jumped on the hurts train after a game and a half. he likely feels he owes nothing to them. If i were a player frankly wouldn’t give a flying F what fans think or believe they need to know.

Nothing matters when it comes to this fanbase except if he came out and said he always liked the Cowboys.  People that want him to stay want him to stay. People that don't want him stay won't change their mind.
