He might be the least NFL ready/raw prospect this team has ever drafted.  Based on that, along with how quickly this coaching staff develops players, he should be ready for special teams spot duty by 2028.

The Davion Taylor pick in the 3rd round was the worst pick of our draft, even worse than the Hurts pick.  The kid was a project that most had regarded as a 5th or 6th rounder.  Howie just looked at 40 times in this past draft.  People were criticizing the Eagles for being too slow and Howie decided to just look at 40 times and draft a bunch of guys who had decent 40s.

Kittle signed a 5-year $75 million contract.  DG is not Kittle by any means but if he's finally THE GUY and can stay healthy, someone is going to pay him top dollar, you can bet on that.

Yup, I think after the game a reporter asked if he had even thrown a pass to butler or knew who he was, and Wentz said yeah I think we worked in that play twice in practice.

I understand that argument that's why I added the 2nd scenario where you trade down in the 1st gaining a 2nd rounder out of it.  Then you can pick Surtain.  Along with my other trades, you now have the 3 2nd rounders and 2 4ths.  You replace DG with any of the tight ends from the Big 10 and bring back DIck Rod as the #2.

That's why I'm suggesting we trade him before it gets to that point.  I've posted the comparison a few times but last year the Ravens traded Hayden Hurst and a 4th to the Falcons for a 2nd and a 5th.  Hurst was 26 at the time.  Goedert is 26 as of last week.  His numbers trump Hurst if you compare them head-to-head.  I see no reason why the Eagles can't trade Goedert and say a 5th for a 2nd and a 4th.

The Eagles have SOOO many needs on the team.  Paying DG top end tight end money is a luxury they can't afford.

I have already accepted that we will most likely have to cut him loose.  Injured or not, he either regressed a ton or he gave a pathetic effort while he was on the field.  Either way, I don't think teams will be lined up for him.

If you have a 1st, 3 2nds and 3rd and 2 4th round picks that's a great start at building a foundation.  If DG is traded, finding your starting tight end in the first 4 rounds is great value IMO.

That’s how I view it. Maybe they get a team that is willing to give them a conditional pick but I think it’s going to wind up going the same route as Malcolm Jenkins where they just cut him.

My belief is that the Eagles are going to draft a tight end at some point in this draft. My guess is around 4 to 7 and bring back dick rod. I am not opposed to trading Dallas Goedert. I love the player but not willing to overpay for him when he’s had trouble staying healthy and I’m guessing he knows if he gets to free agency some team likely overpays him like Cleveland did with hooper

Eligible for an extension now as its the end of his 3rd year. And he’s a FA at the end of 2021. If you play it out and he has a really good year then there’s no reason for him not to go to free agency or you’re gonna have to overpay kind a like what they had happen with Vinny curry
