Tell me, how do you think Dalton would have fared on the Eagles?

Both teams had OL issues, but Dallas also had Cooper, Lamb and Gallup, as well as Elliott and Pollard.

No worse than Hurts and his 2 for 24 scoring drives in the 2nd half while also have DRPOY candidate in Chinn at S.  Again, just off the top of my noggin while imbibing high ABV craft beers.

I don't usually resort to name calling, but as others have stated you could be considered Dave Spinderella.  Push it real good.

Point is, this wasn't the 2017 version of the Eagles where having a backup QB would have kept us on course (or on coarse as BobbyWizDum would say).  Foles was the perfect fit in 2017.  And until Reich implemented the RPO based on what worked for Foles in the past he was only passable.  Then he played lights out in the NFCCG and the SB, even outplaying the GOAT in Brady.  I still defy anyone to find me a QB who put up such numbers in their conference CG and the SB like Foles did.  Like punchable face Eli, he got hot at exactly the right time.  I'll always be grateful and appreciate him, but he was never the long term answer.  We needed so much more than a quality backup QB to stay competitive.  For Lowie to say that was the main reason is ridiculous.  Thin at DBs, ZERO starting quality LBs, a MASH unit OL, only ONE quality NFL RB and JAG WRs and they thought a 2nd round rookie backup QB would solve our problems?  Tell me again, how the sky is falling, chicken little.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Dude, you need to use the sarcasm font.  Wait, do we have a sarcasm font here?  If not then we really need one.  Maybe a certain colour?  Something.

The problem is there is so much bona fide stupid around here that it’s hard to tell.

First I've seen it.  I always loved the Vikings linebackers but they've also invested in some good ones via the draft.  Maybe he can bring more input on what linebackers should be.

How old are you?  Do you remember offseason coverage before the internet and social media?  Players didn’t release statements to fans in the offseason.  Heck, we would subscribe to the Sporting News for a page on the NFL during the offseason.  Carson doesn’t have to release a statement.  From all appearances, he won the offseason.   Further, if as I believe, he is in negotiations with the Eagles to lessen his cap hit this season with a restructure, there is no advantage for him to say anything at this point.

Wrong.

Booting Doug after a pandemic season was cold.

Twitter is one of the worse things that happened to sports.  100 guys reporting on the same thing and more times than not, send out misinformation because they're trying to get the story out first.  Case in point, just go on the Eagles page on Bleacher Report and see how many tweets are about the same thing.  Over and over again.  Its not fun to follow at all.

Why do you think that college coaches look at social media accounts when they're recruiting?  They can see how late a kid says up at night and what nonsense they follow.  A kid posting stuff at 2am the night before a game is not my kind of player.

The Steelers and Juju smith-schuster believe tik Tok is up there. Lol

Where is the Wentz tweet welcoming this dude?

Find me one quote from Lurie, Howie, Nick, or Spads that the Eagles have "no aspirations of competing” during the time they take to add youth.   You can’t because they always want to compete and win.  They just recognize that to do so, changes have to be made from the Super Bowl team (and that is and has been underway to some degree since 2019).

Allow me to direct you to Lurie's press conference.

I feel like we have two of the youngest coaches/coordinators in the league. Clay is 29 and he’s 27. So we definitely got young in the coaching department. Team roster wise still yet to be seen. Somehow some way i expect peters on the roster at some point in time next year.

He drove him from the airport to NovaCare

The new strategy is to hire coaches who can still suit up if there are too many injuries again.  Out thinking the league once again!  Gold Standard always.

its def a mix for me, i knlw plenty of former and current who took issue with it, including one career Naval officer i know who retired 10 years ago and is a school teacher now, who def had issues with all of that and was very vocal about his reasons.

thats why i question those who say they dont know anyone who had issues, your bubble must be small and not very diverse

Most of the people I knew that were angry weren't active duty and never were. Most of the active duty people who were angry are the same ones who are now posting election fraud stuff and that this country is now a socialist hellhole so take that for what it's worth.

Our coaches average age will be younger than our players average age.  WTF?

I am on board with the coaching youth movement

They said they wanted to get younger. Did the specifically say where?

I feel like they might be trying to get some younger coaches who might be more relatable to the younger players as they enter a rebuild.

If we're going to go the young coach route, it has to be a full rebuild. Right?

He did not say the Eagles won’t compete.  Again, find me an Eagles won’t compete quote.  You can’t because that isn’t their position.  Difficult to compete as younger players get up to speed is not the same as won’t.
