I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I saw he was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer a couple weeks ago. He was only 44.

Here's my take on Wentz and it's 100% accurate:

He doesn't owe anyone a damn thing in regards to tweets.

You mean to tell me if he tweeted:

"Thank the good Lord for everything I have. Time to work! #flyeaglesfly"

He wouldn't be HAMMERED with people/fans/media bashing the absolute crap out of him and pissing and moaning about him being here? He absolutely would. He knows it. The team knows it. Those with a functioning brain know it, so why even bother? You know it's going to be a crap show regardless of what he says/doesn't say.

As for him being a bad teammate, do me a favor. Go back and watch the game with the Cardinals this year. When Hurts fails to lead the comeback at the end and we lose, who's the FIRST PERSON to run up and put his arm around him to talk to him? The FIRST PERSON who runs up to the player THAT TOOK HIS JOB.

Rhymes with Arson Vents.

According to Football Scoop Jay Valai will be the cornerbacks coach.

Feels like they are grooming Dennard Wilson to be future DC if Gannon gets scooped up for a HC gig

Sounds good to me. And smart too.

Curious what we'd get for Ertz after that lackluster effort he gave us during a contract year. He also wants a mega deal

We'd get a late rounder, but lets remember, he already came through on his value in February 2018.

You aren’t the goat— blonde girl probably

Suspect that is wrong and he will be the S coach.  That’s his background.

The fact she has court side seats to NBA games is not a good look for anybody.  She acts like a working girl

Still pretty impressive to get thrown out of a game during a pandemic.

This will be crucial.  Succession planning is a must when you hire a young, upwardly mobile coaching staff.  As soon as the Eagles become a playoff team again other teams will start poaching them for promotions

ah yes if you disagree with thier opinions, clearly they must be dehumanized.  its a thing we do now

we lost how to have civil discourse when we disagree.

further proof some of you have very small bubbles

Yea after 8 years in my small bubble spans probably a couple hundred people (and more that I know but am less familiar with) across three commands from all parts of the world. Super small.

Show me where I de-humanized anyone, and where I haven't been civil. I'll be here

Even going by her story her husband can’t be the sharpest knife in the drawer, wanting to be an agitator to LeBron James.

I remember many years ago Mike Tyson was in town doing a public event to promote an upcoming fight against Razor Ruddock.  One of my good friends called me and wanted me to come with him so he could heckle Tyson.  I told him he must want to get a few teeth removed.  He said something to the effect if Tyson hit him he could sue for a financial settlement.

I had to remind him about bodyguards.  Mr T was a bodyguard for Leon Spinks and Muhammad Ali; he wouldn’t get close to Tyson — one of his bodyguards as rough as Mr T would demolish him and he wouldn’t get a dime out of it.  Some people just lack common sense.

His coaching and playing experience say otherwise:

2016-2017 — Georgia defensive quality control coach

2018 — Kansas City Chiefs assistant defensive backs coach/defensive quality control coach

2019 — Rutgers cornerbacks coach

2020 — Texas cornerbacks coach

2021 — Houston cornerbacks coach (hired less than two weeks ago)

Valai has experience playing cornerback from his four-year college career at Wisconsin.

So what’s the reason when most of the players didn’t and ones you consider also team leaders or does this standard only apply to wentz the team leader? I’m a little confused as to why fletcher cox or Brandon Graham who are team leaders say nothing and no one bats an eye

Kellen Winslow jr disagrees lol

Probably because they don't want to make Wentz look bad. They have already come out in support of him personally.

Spare me the "soldiers going to battle” line.  They are all paid handsomely to do their F-ing jobs.  Not to gossip or air dirty laundry out on social media.  And they are not Soldiers!!!!

It's call metaphor...

They do technically provide a uniformed service for society...🤷🏽‍♂️

One of my favorite comments of the year by a coach, any chance Jones fires him next year (he stuck with Garrett forever) and Doug with Jim Schwartz ends up coaching the Cowboys?

They also showed support for doug time and time again who wasn’t wentz’s favorite person according to "sources” and reports. And some didn’t say anything and some did when he was let go on Twitter.   If you think they care enough to not saying anything cause of wentz when the eagles sign their paychecks then ok.

I don’t think Carson wentz’s feelings/making him look bad dictates what they do with their social media. It sounds made up concoction by fans to justify their view on the situation. I don’t think most of the team saying nothing is cause of not wanting to make wentz look bad. I’m sure jalen hurts on Twitter not saying anything is not due to Carson. I don’t think Dallas goedert on Twitter saying nothing is cause of wentz. Mcleod and slay said nothing. Or reagor saying nothing is because of Carson. Or sanders on Twitter hasn’t said anything is due to Carson. All must not want to make wentz look bad or maybe that’s not the case. Meanwhile lane Johnson stuck up for wentz had something to say on Twitter about it. So that theory doesn’t apply with lane even though he backed wentz?

I’ll judge players for what they do and don’t do on the field...and for what they say in front of a mic or keyboard.  But I’m not going to judge them for what they don’t say.

Im not going to bash Wentz for keeping quiet during this fiasco.  If that’s what he wants to do, I don’t have a problem with it.

He hasn’t had any tweets.  He’s had one since the season ended.  And that was most likely a contractual obligation.  I don’t blame him.  The media and fans in Philly are toxic!  I would say it doesn’t benefit any player to be on Twitter.  Why do you care so much?

I'm not saying I do care. Actually I don't care if he posts Fly Eagles Fly or not. I agree with you that being on social media doesn't benefit any player. But if players want to me on social media then they should expect people to look in to what they are, or aren't, saying.
