I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

The only time he really tweets anything is after a win, something sponsored, or family related. It would be ideal if he came out and said something along the lines of wanting to stay here, but I think people are making too big of a deal about it. I personally don't care if he's silent/invisible until camp. He just had the worst season of his career and probably wants to put it behind him. He doesn't owe anybody anything, despite "reports" coming out saying he isn't happy. The only thing I care about is him buying into Sirianni and the offensive staff and putting in a full offseason of work.

Look I agree with you to a large extent. I agree with those who say that whatever Wentz says will either be disregarded or twisted by some fans and members of the media. I still think in these situations he would be better off coming out and saying that he wants to stay (if that's what he wants). By saying nothing he fuels more speculation about him and about the rumours that he wants out.

Some of y'all need to read the writing on the wall with Carson.

And quite frankly, I don't really care if he wants to be here. I'm not sure I want him here. It sounds harsh, but it is what it is I guess.

Does seem like he is getting a pass from some, visions of franchise QB dancing in their head ??? Think it’s a little more than that but I’ve been accused of such thoughts of reading and seeing it everywhere so there is that. His lack of fortitude if true will be of great disappointment to me. Stories he  didn’t care for Flip, just laughed Taylor off if true he needs a wake up call but that will be hard to do with that contract. If he doesn’t say anything it’s because he doesn’t want to and makes the rumors seem true. Maybe Howie should be terminated for what would be his largest mistake, we’ll see

I mean look I think what Jenkins said last week is telling. I think this organisation have done Carson a miss-justice in the way they have treated him and protected him. They have wrapped him up in cotton wool at times but then also made some strange decisions (like drafting Hurts last year). I think the writing is on the wall for Wentz in Philly and I think everyone would just be best off if both parties went their separate ways.

Agree.  They could have signed a backup FA QB instead of using the 2nd round pick where you could have drafted a player who could have helped on either side of the ball for the entire season.  Instead they put in 1-2 gadget plays/game to justify the pick where Wentz lined up as a WR on the outside.  Utterly useless and stupid.

Doug is overall a good HC who gets the players to play and fight every game, but he needs a strong staff around him to make the rest of his job much easier.  Thanks for the Lombardi, Doug, your philosophy going into the SB was brilliant, but on your own you leave me wanting.  I wish you well in future endeavours (so long as that doesn't stop the Eagles from more potential SB wins), but without strong coaches at your side you simply lost the plot.

What is Sudz considered ?

2nd rounder that could help a 4-11-1 team, that’s a lot of speculation. Not picking Hurts because Carson is insecure, maybe Howie should add him to the loop

Only 18 QB's had a cap number of more than 10 million last year.  Only 26 had a cap number over 7 million.

I am going to start pointing these things out and tag the post  "Another easily researched not thought out response"

Draft picks are also considered investments, as 2nd rounder and a QB it looks like a decent flyer despite the potential to make CW sulk

This is like a chris Carter situation but for different reasons.

Well, I should say that while I found 5 and only through the Fs in ABC order, that I meant 5 who could be at least as good as Hurts or better.  You did more leg work than I did so I tip my cap to you, good sir.  But it still stands that we didn't have to shell out to have a competent backup QB behind Wentz for 2020 nor had to use our 2nd round pick on one.  Again, Howie is Wiley E. Coyote, Super Genius.

1st or 2nd year players otherwise I think not comparable. The pick was more than just filling a spot with a disposable player. Can’t believe after reading all this that CW feels the least bit threatened by the presence of Hurts and don’t think it was the intention at all. Was he upset when they picked JJaw ? Maybe he’s just looking out for his bud Sudz

Howie, err Lowie, if you're lurking, this one's for you...

why would he be better off? what does that change in his world?  he is still gonna do what he is gonna do, the media will still do what they do.

imho he is better off just goibg about his business, and let whomever feels the need to ****e , say what ever they want, they are going to anyway, why get into any type of back and forth with the media that is hell bent on making him the bad guy? if i were him, id be silent too.

By saying nothing, the only fuel added to the fire is media driven.

I like that they retained Moorehead. Call me crazy, but I thought Watkins and Hightower flashed something this year. Yes, they need a lot of work and are likely never more than the third or fourth best WR on the depth chart, but for where they were drafted, I am bullish on both.

Fulgham could be really good, could be complete trash, or could be somewhere in between. The fact is he played his best ball when Carson had full trust in him and didn't have to worry about that serpent Jeffrey. Fulgham wasn't just good in that stretch, he was best in the entire league for a month. Again, lots to work on, and he may turn into nothing at all. I'm bullish on him too, but only if Wentz stays. I don't think he had such a great rapport with Hurts, but again, the slithering snake man AJ was always around.

Reagor, well, he disappointed, but I'm not really to declare him a bust or trash. He did show some flash, although his highlight of the year was a punt return, which is probably not what you want for your first round receiver. But that return did show that he has NFL level speed at least. JJAW would never be able to return a punt for a TD, unless he fielded it at the 50 yard line, and the entire punt unit ran past him to the endzone, thus having to turn around and chase him from behind. And they still might catch him. But I digress. I'm iffy on Reagor, but like the GME stock I have, all I can do is hold for now.

I hope some continuity with Moorehead can help these guys. Maybe it can't, but I'm a little bit optimistic. I wouldn't mind Chase in the first, but I also wouldn't be upset if they go defense instead.

And maybe, just maybe, I've been saddled watching such dreck at the receiver position for so long with this franchise, that I can't even remember what good WR play looks like anymore.

I'm going with jag status on Fulgham. Hoping I'm wrong

It is because he stays quiet he gets ripped. This fan base needs to feel loved and when the star QB doesn't speak the fans get mad.

If you're that bad off get a puppy.

I don’t know if that’s true. I think there are a lot of fans that think his radio silence act is a bad look and is souring on him even more because it’s coming off as pouting after he played poorly.

Oh BS. The haters are gonna hate. I'm one of his biggest fans and I don't feel the need to know if he wants to stay or not to like him.

And as soon as he says he wants to be here and to make it work out for the franchise that gave him a shot, things will smooth aver pretty quickly with many fans.

Now who's being naïve?

I think it's a good deal for both teams,  Stafford has started 16 games , 10 times out of last 11 seasons,  arm is still strong, and QBs have shown ability to play at a high level well into their 30s ... brady, brees,  and rodgers shows no signs of slowing down.

Plus the rams are built for next 3 or 4 years. Goff wasn't  the answer to get them over the hump , maybe Stafford is ,and  they dumped a bad bad contract.

Even going by her story her husband can’t be the sharpest knife in the drawer, wanting to be an agitator to LeBron James.

I remember many years ago Mike Tyson was in town doing a public event to promote an upcoming fight against Razor Ruddock.  One of my good friends called me and wanted me to come with him so he could heckle Tyson.  I told him he must want to get a few teeth removed.  He said something to the effect if Tyson hit him he could sue for a financial settlement.

I had to remind him about bodyguards.  Mr T was a bodyguard for Leon Spinks and Muhammad Ali; he wouldn’t get close to Tyson — one of his bodyguards as rough as Mr T would demolish him and he wouldn’t get a dime out of it.  Some people just lack common sense.

I got a "stare" from Bonds once while heckling him.

I'm honestly guessing Carson doesn't want to be here, but that said somedays I don't like my job either. What will matter is if he works on his flaws this offseason and shows up to work on time and ready to play. If what Jenkins said is true (at least he put his name with it) then shame on the coaching staff for worrying about protecting his ego rather than worrying about his play.

If you take what Adam caplan said at face value yesterday on their podcast that doug and the coaching staff had a problem holding players in general accountable and they rarely benched or punished anyone. I don’t know how true or false it is but if he’s right then it was a team wide thing which again falls on the coaching staff for allowing it.

I agree that was a problem with the old staff, but it’s still speculation.  I mean...at the end of the day, they did bench Wentz.

Im sure that fed into Wentz’ discontent.  Wentz probably was managed delicately, other disappointments had no accountability or consequences, and the only shoe to eventually drop was Wentz getting benched.

I think the disconnect was Wentz and Doug. Not Wentz and the city/fans/ownership etc.

It's funny,

- The fans hates the Eagles offense

- The league (front office) hated the Eagles offense(reports of doug running the wrong scheme for his WR's)

-The League(DC's) made fun of doug for running the same plays from 2018/2019 into 2020

-It's been leaked that Wentz hated the Offense.
