Sounds like someone else I know in the organization....

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

No one complains when he doesn't talk and no one is clamoring for these little self fluff pieces.

He's become an ego maniac.

I have never complained if Lurie doesn't talk. In fact I don't remember anyone in here ever complaining about that.

What's pretty crazy about Mike Vick is that you still associate him as being a Falcon for the majority of his career.  Truth is, he played 6 seasons for the Falcons and 5 for the Eagles.  Pretty crazy to think that he was here only 1 less year than with ATL.

Those of us who actually know the Eagles probably realized this stat without even having to count.  Thing is, they have the most by a long shot.

Tampa had Doug Williams, Shaun King, Josh Freeman, Josh Johnson (always liked him), Byron Leftwich and Jameis Winston.

Houston only had DeShaun Watson.

Damn those racist Eagles!  Duce should have been handed the job because he has been here so long!

Winning a Super Bowl has turned Lurie into a straight up maniac. Imagine thinking people want to listen to him drone on about nothing after his 20 minute fillibuster last week.

I listened to it...

Just last week they complained about him not answering reporters’ questions.

I think there's a big difference between answering unprompted questions on the spot vs talking to Dave Spadaro.

I imagine Dave goes along with everything cause it’s a well paying job and he loves working for the organization. Basically they force him to be a fluff journalist. But i also have to think he has a bunch of stories behind the scenes where if he got fed up or he felt slighted then he’d walk away and just write a book of those stories.

Isn’t he about 5 years younger than you?

Agreed.

How have people not held him accountable?

see recent quotes from Jenkins. This season let him play well beyond when he should have based on decision making and performance.

Running the ball 70% of the time is now on the table.

His sales pitch would probably be over multiple days and scare off whoever wanted to buy it

When would you have preferred he was benched?

He should have been benched at least 2/3 weeks before he was. He was playing that badly and showing absolutely no signs that he was going to turn it around.

Oh I’m sorry we make excuses for other team leaders who are getting paid BIG MONEY and blame their silence on someone else. Which is exactly what you did.  I think it’s a ridiculous excuse you came up with for their silence

But it’s okay to make excuses for them as Cox has a102 million contract he signed. but don’t let facts of other team leaders making 102 million and being silent get in the way of your agenda. So if you’re going to hold Carson Wentz accountable for not welcoming sirianni because he has a $100 million contract then you’re better also hold Fletcher Cox accountable for saying nothing who has a $102 million dollar contract and the leader of the defense. But I’ve yet to see that post from you... wait it’s clearly Carson that’s holding him back from tweeting it

time will tell if it is ridiculous. Your argument is not apples to apples btw. Cox did not get benched. There aren't stories about Cox being unhappy or wanting to be traded. Cox isn't being judged in terms of how he responds to a very difficult and trying time in his career. Could be that ownership and the GM have lost the whole team so nobody is going to voice any support. Maybe it is better to pose this as a lost opportunity for Wentz to demonstrate leadership qualities than a criticism that he is not doing so.

Don’t even respond because that’s not what the conversation was about. The conversation was about his argument about why Carson Wentz should welcome Nick Sirianni but the rest of the team leaders didn’t and then his lame ass excuse for why the other players didn’t do it

no time won’t tell that. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say none of those players come out there and say yeah we didn’t say anything like welcome to the Eagles nick because of Carson.

If you wanted to pose it that way then you should’ve said that. However you did not do that. That i could agree with as a missed opportunity and a big missed one by our other "leaders”

However again you brought up the $100 million dollar contract and being a team leader as reason why he should do it and be held more accountable. I’m just telling you other leaders on the team making $100 million contract did the same thing and you didn’t seem to bat an eye. Everything else with Carson makes no difference in the story. So because if Fletcher Cox would’ve gotten benched you would ask him to do that? I’m highly doubting you would say a word at that point.  Again Cox could have seen this team needs a leader and gone out of his way and done that to take the bull by its horns and led the team. And yet he didn’t do it

this comes down to your argument to blame Carson wentz for them not saying anything. That is what people used to do to Donovan McNabb back in the day. So congrats you somehow made Carson Wentz into Donovan McNabb who gets blamed for things he didn’t even do like preventing grown ass men from tweeting welcome nick on Twitter

Have we heard directly from Carson that he wants to be traded?  Has there been any confirmation of any of the reports or just reporters saying they hear things?

Until Carson comes out and says he would rather be traded it's silly to say otherwise.

I thought the Giants game was rough and then the next game against the Browns he looked more lost. I would have done it after the Browns game.  I'm not letting Pederson off the hook by any stretch. He did not construct an offense that supported Wentz's strengths. I would have given him a break for a few games and then put him back in. How it was done was horrible and I understand how Wentz might have felt blamed, shamed and angry.

Either the garbage FO of the Eagles or his agent has instructed Wentz not to talk.....Most likely because they are either working on a trade or they are trying to rework his deal to save the team money.  I lean towards him working on a trade.  Either way, I don't blame him and could care less if he wants to tweet "welcome to philly coach".  I called it back when Lowie drafted Hurts and I knew it would have a damaging effect.  Now a coach is gone, we hired option #10 to replace who sounds like a confused 22 year old drunk on white claws and the starting QB wants out.  Great f-ing job Lowie!  Way to go.  Lurie has let that scrawny little accountant run this team into the ground.  Oh, but he manages the cap well......boom $65 million over.  Oh but we want to be the gold standard.....countless coaches didn't want the job...check.  Oh but we're going to be a QB factory.  Franchise QB spiraled into a bad player and we drafted Tim Tebow with a better spiral.  Great job Lowie!  Fantastic management all the way around.  Lurie is to blame.  His ego has enabled this all to happen and has enabled boy wonder to bro-hug his way into being the laughing stock of the NFL......AGAIN!

I don’t disagree with what you said. However the next up’s argument was the other players and leaders on this team did not welcome in Nick Sirianni on social media because of Carson Wentz and not wanting to make him look bad.  Legitimately that was his argument. Honestly that’s exactly what people did to mcnabb. Blame him for things he had no control over.
