All Wentz has to say is "I want to be here". He won't do it. There are constant reports of his unhappiness. Reporters are routinely mentioning him as possible QB trade acquisitions.

It's not difficult to connect these dots.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

This is Adam Schefter, not some random reporter on Twitter. I don’t think he says that without a reliable source. Maybe Wentz can be convinced to stay, but if he wants out we should definitely trade him.

What makes Schefter the Messiah of news?  He's lost a lot of clout as of late in my mind.  He's good at breaking news but when it comes to hot takes he's just another in a long line of media hacks who claim to have a source or "think" something might happen.

He would 100% say something without a reliable source.  CLICKS

It's the same guy that backtracked an opinion piece earlier because people took it as a comment from Wentz and his agent

I’d you don’t want to believe it until Wentz says it himself then fine, but you have a bunch of reporters saying he isn’t happy here including the one with the best track record. It doesn’t mean he’s getting traded, but there’s obviously problems that would need to be worked out if he stays.

I doubt Wentz interacts with Howie other than "how's it going." His problem was with Doug, and Doug trying to turn him into Foles.

In 2017, Wentz had Jeffrey, Ertz, Agholor and Smith to throw to, who got him those targets?

I doubt Wentz has decided anything, he knows Sirianni is a Reich disciple and he had his best season under Reich. So why would he be in a hurry to leave until he sees how things play out here - as far as Hurts, where ever he goes, there will be a #2 QB that the fans will call for as soon as he has a bad game.

This is logical.

Reminds me of there being several sources of russian collusion, all of which came from the steel dossier.

I'll say this, until Wentz and or the Eagles come out publicly - it's all just click bait.

I stand by my 85% chance that Wentz is traded prediction.  You can thank Lowie for that.

I think he is gone, too.  I don't blame him watching the way "fans" celebrated his benching while the Philly media kept taking shot after shot.  After awhile, I am sure that crap gets old.

I also  think that we will regret it, if it happens.  We do not have a quality replacement.

I think there was a power struggle between Howie and Doug so Doug had to go since Howie owns Lurie's ear.  I think part of Howie winning that was feeding Lurie the idea that Doug is the issue once he is gone Wentz will be happy.  But Wentz still isn't happy because Wentz does not like Howie and wants Howie gone.  But Howie will never be gone so now the franchise is trying to convince him to give the new HC a chance while simultaneously listening to offers to see if they can work out a deal where they actually get something in return.

Nope.  I have said it countless times and I will say it again.  Lurie is not going to take the biggest dead cap hit in NFL history.

So with a reliable source he would say "to me, it could either way" or "If I had to guess, my guess would be...that would be my guess" or "I don't know this, but" or "I have my own educated opinion. I'm not going to guess because I don't know"

If he wants to leave because of the fans then he needs to be traded. He’s lucky there weren’t fans in the stands, it would’ve been much worse.

Same guy who said Wentz was going to ask publicly for a trade when the Eagles season was done. That was months ago.He gets a few sources here and there. But as he said before and now, its "his feeling"

Could be right, could be wrong but right now its a speculation piece.

Regarding a trade. There’sa difference between the actual trade and Wentz willingness to play here.

I hope you are right and think your concept is logical.  I have my doubts right now.

He may very well stay, but you're delusional if you think there's nothing to all these reports.

SCHEFTER: And wants to leave the franchise. Okay? And that’s why the trade still is in play. And, again, people wondering where did this stuff come from at the end of the year. Was it made [up]? This is all real. None of this is made up.

He’s definitely speculating about the trade, but this doesn’t sound like an opinion about Wentz wanting to leave.

blah, blah, blah.   We have earned the reputation as the worst fans in sports.  We are just the cherry on top of a crap sundae though.

These aren't reports. Reports have sources and are fact based. These are all opinion pieces, and hold as much weight as anybody in here the blog posting the same ish.

nah, all he has to do, is tell the Eagles if he wants to be here or not.

he does not need to tell anyone else. And If I were him, I would do what he is doing

There are much more supporters in the Stands of Wentz then on these boards thats for sure. Season ticket holder here standing up saying "I" :)

So he has a reliable source on Wentz's mood, but has no idea what the compensation would be, whose interested in him or what percentage he is traded or brought back to compete for a job. Ok.

Until I actually hear directly from Wentz......I am not buying into the rumors or smoke. I believe they brought in Sirianni to coach up Wentz...give them a full year together....

I’m just saying. I doubt he’s ever been Boo’d by a crowd, he would have been last season.

It would be 13 million more than the previous dead cap hit.  It would be an embarrassing look for Lurie and Howie, and we know if nothing else, Lurie is about appearances.
