Conspiracy theorist? I'm the guy who wants to see facts and sources provided. That's all I've asked for. You're believing what some guy writes on Twitter to be gospel, because he's broken a lot of stories in the past. The same guy, who made up stuff about Wentz not even 2 months ago and had to back down when called out about it.

You're an idiot.

Oh no, please don't call me names 😭

You're right, let's ignore the most plugged in national guy... After all, what sources does that nobody Adam Schefter have? Gotta get back to my Q Telegram, so I'm gonna have to end this convo now ttyl

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I think it depends on how the market shapes up with watson and the three QBs after Lawrence. I think the colts, niners, Patriots, Washington, Houston (when they deal watson), bears, Steelers (potentially with big Ben retiring or not) need a QB. I think panthers want a young QB and Broncos likely want a good veteran QB if they move on from lock. Not all those teams are going to get watson or one of the 3 QBs after Lawrence. However no clue on how they feel about hurts. Some not high as last year they last but some of that could be they had guys in place then and were yet willing to move on from like bears with foles and trubisky. Also was the rumor the Patriots liked him a lot and smoke around them taking him if the eagles didn’t a couple picks later.

The bigger question is if some team really wants a one read, take off running QB.   That's not usually high on QB wish lists.

Eagles could trade Wentz

Eagles could trade Hurts

Hell Eagles could trade both Wentz and Hurts

The problem will still exist. The media. They will do the same thing to the next QB like always. There really is no making them stop. Their business and money is in getting people to read. They know what the Eagles fans are.....suckers for a good click bait Qb story. We also know this world is all about the $$$, there is no honor anymore in truth.

Im going deep 🙂

When hasn't the world been about money, power or control?

You’re under the assumption that a team who loves him doesn’t believe they can improve upon his game. They are projecting what their coaches and staff can do with him. Not what he was as a rookie under doug. If you are making the deal you aren’t doing it as he’s a finished product.

"Love him" is a key point there, because we haven't seen much development in his game through two stops at premium college programs either.  Those schools don't have garbage staffs.  As you know, OU churns out high pick QBs and he was projected 3rd through 5th round.

Guys, it's not that hard. If Schefter had a reliable source on Carson Wentz, he would cite it. He's not once said he has a source. He literally said the opposite, that he hasn't talked to Carson Wentz or his camp. He's speculating.

Now, now, play nice kids.

There simply is no urgency for the Eagles to do anything right now, they're rebuilding so whether they go 4-12 or 6-10 is kinda meaningless.

And the idea that they have to worry about a QB controversy, get real, right now neither QB is a sure thing as the starter, this ain't Montana/Young or Favre/Rodgers.

If both really shine in TC and during the season, there will be plenty of opportunities to trade one of them in the winter of 2022. For a lot more than they'd fetch now.

Yeah, was thinking the same. It's like Left is the new right, Up is the new down?   I dont get it. The Conspiracy Theory here would be Wentz wants out- without having any factual evidence to back that up. Not the other way around.

I question often, just who are these posters. Wouldn't surprise me a bit to find out some are 14 -19 years old - not that thats an issue, just puts some perspective on why/how they think or believe what they do. It's no crime to be young, nor even naive. But hopefully they are at least open minded about learning?

Troll? Not swooning over Carson Wentz every 5 minutes does not make one a troll.

This whole ‘Wentz will get traded because he’s not happy here’ narrative doesn’t pass the smell test.

The Eagles, via Lurie and Howie, have made it clear publicly their intention is to keep Wentz.  I would submit, even if Wentz has told Lowie he wants to be traded (big if) — after that debacle of a trade the Rams made, one of them made a call to Wentz’s agent and said something to the effect "If you think we’re going to trade away two 1st round picks, a third round pick, and eat $59M in dead money, just so your client can be happy — I suggest you have another chat with him”.

I went back to find the Schefter story, when he dropped the tweet on Sunday morning before a game:

https://www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/adam-schefter-says-people-have-misconstrued-his-report-about-carson-wentz

At the end, he reveals how much of a snake he is, trying to downplay the report he put out.

"Again, it’s all common sense,” Schefter said. "That’s really what the story is. It’s not anything else. Which is he’s not happy he’s playing backup. He’s playing the good soldier, he’s being supportive, he’s not publicly complaining. But it doesn’t change the fact of how he feels. And he doesn’t want to be a backup quarterback. Who does? If he wanted to be a backup, you would question the mental makeup of the man himself. Again, that was the story. Somehow that got turned into Carson Wentz is selfish, how can he speak out before the game? How could he say this? How could he think this? How could he do this?”

Well geez Adam, when YOU publish your speculative story on a Sunday morning, what did you think was gonna happen? Own it you coward.

Which I think boils down to one observation...I believe things are just not happening on the their "timetable" which leads to impatience and clinging on to every rumor out there...things will work themselves out eventually...

Yep.  I don't care what you think of Schefter's reputation, this is obvious him doing his own dot connecting and speculating.  It's not like the guy has never been wrong about anything before.

Anyone remember the whole Condoleezza Rice being interviewed for the Browns head coaching job fiasco ??

Or 2017 when he tweeted that the Vikings would not have to play a road playoff game, even though the Eagles had the #1 seed.

I believe that if the Eagles didn’t take him at 53 that New England was seriously considering taking him with their second round pick. I know there was a bunch of patriots beat reporters saying that was the hot rumor that they were told. So I’m guessing they would probably have a suitor in New England that would be willing to take the chance on fixing Jalen hurts considering where they’re picking in the first and second round this year and what quarterbacks likely going to be there.

FFS, this is what all those idiots are hanging their hats on?  This is rubbish.  This isn't reporting.  It's an opinion piece and it's stating the obvious.  Gee, a competitive starting player gets benched, and while he's being supportive and good teammate and not making public any negativity, he's not happy that he's not starting.  That could apply to every player who gets benched for someone else.  It's why they all play the game.

Yup, social media like twitter and FB have turned sports loving males in this country into teenage girls who lap up drama like a hungry bear that just woke up from a long hibernation finds his nose in a honeycomb.  As George Carlin would say in this situation:  "The pussification of the american male continues".

No- you are correct.

IMHO - What makes a troll-

when they only talk about 1 thing, and it's a negative position, that goes against logic and reason, defies factual evidence, and they usually have no other input into any other discussions, they only show up and talk about "X".

With some that subject is race, others it's a political stance, with you it might be Wentz.  To be fair, I don't know if this is the only thing you post about, what I can say is, it's the only topic I have seen you post about without looking through your history.

You be the judge, are you a troll?

Did everyone actually listen to the full interview or just take quotes and the small snippet people blasted. If you listen to the entire interview he starts off by saying him not talking to the media means something. During that same part he basically alluded to that as why he doesn’t want to be with the franchise

That might be a good spot, but I don't know that anyone views him as a full time starting NFL QB.  I do not see where he showed anything that would change his draft grade.   Would we take a 3rd in return (or less)?  I don't know.  After the Eagles tossed that pick on him versus using it for a more necessary issue, they put themselves in a tough postion.

Personally, I think he is cheap and the pick was already wasted.  There is no reason to send him elsewhere without, at least, recouping a 2nd.
