My sister lived in SF and Oakland now so i used to visit her more often. The warriors kind of smoothed things over during that time and the giants had their run. So they really haven’t been as vocal due to more recent success

What do they have to say about Durant?

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Yeah. I hate waiting week by week. Wish they would do it Netflix style and just release it all. Honestly the DC TV shows are better than the movies. You may disagree but I hate the DC movies.

Funny you mentioned Gotham I actually started watching it last night 😂. I’m guessing it ends badly?

Oh i 100 percent agree. I really haven’t liked a DC movie all that much since the dark knight trilogy. I thought aqua man was ok. But Wonder Woman was slow and the second one was pretty lame and i hated the ending.

It doesn’t end poorly it just goes really far out there. Like it is unbelievable as it’s a comic brought to life but it goes realllly out there with some crazy storylines.

Most were actually happy he came to join them and won them a couple titles. Most respect the fact he came back to play through that injury that ultimately cost him a season. And i think the sign and trade where they got deangelo which became wiseman and Wiggins they understood why he was leaving and were happy with the parting gifts. I think more of their fans are less excited about draymond cause there’s a belief durant left cause of him.

Mmm. Ok. Well first episode was pretty good so I’ll continue watching.

DC movies are very lame. I slept through Justice league and Shazam? Ugh. I did like suicide Squad but though birds of was another let down and that’s tough to do staring at Margot Robbie for 2 hours 😘

Yup just said the same thing. Sounds like the notorious eagles spin they want out there so people don’t question howie as much making the picks this year.

It's not that simple. If your coaches want certain players, and you decide to go into another direction, guarantee if the team struggles the leaks will be "Howie wouldn't listen to Pederson/Schwartz, etc." Problem is after you win a SB, the coaching staff gets more influence, look at the media spin, how could they fire Pederson three years after winning a SB? So in that context, how could they refuse his demands one or two years after winning a SB.

Had the Eagles gone 10-6 and lost in the WC instead of going 12-4 and winning the SB, odds are Pederson and his coaches would have had declining influence as the team struggled and flatlined the next couple years, some veterans wouldn't have been extended and so on.  This was the same thing we saw with the Phillies after 2008, if we won it we can win it again with a few tweaks.

I only watched 3 seasons of Gotham. It got pretty PC like the other CW shows IMO

No it is actually pretty simple. Howie Roseman has final say on picks and selections. So if he didn’t want what they were offering in terms of advice and disagreed strongly then he could’ve said I don’t care what Doug and the coaching staff told me. He had the opportunity to say you know what Doug I appreciate your opinion but I really feel strongly about Justin Jefferson over jalen reagor so I’m going to use my power to make that selection. because that’s his job and he has that type of power. He didn’t do it. So you can continue to keep blaming Doug for certain selections but guess what howie isn’t innocent either. He’s the one that gets paid to make the tough decision of listening to his coaches or going with what he feels is the best selection. He failed at that with that selection.

cough, cough, BS, cough, cough. Wentz hasn't said a word. You have only your and others opinions about his happiness with anything. He's supposed to be happy he got benched? It's becoming very clear to me that you have an anti Wentz agenda.

Because I listen to reports and decide that after so many it's becoming hard to ignore? OK fine.

Option 1

Or Draft 2

Actually agree with BLG on this. I like slay however by the time the eagles are contenders again if you keep him he’s out of his prime and restructure his contract he could be harder to move down the road as he declined and owed money

I said it midseason.  The only smart move is to trade Slay.  The smarter move is to not make the trade AND then sign him to a big deal.  It was dumb at the time... and has proven to be even dumber in retrospect.

Yup i agreed with you then. Made me even more pissed was howie said they knew they had to rebuild last year but saw the pandemic and thought they could win the division. So you traded away a 3rd and 5th knowing we needed rebuild and it was on the horizon and it wasn’t going to be an easy rebuild for a player who likely after 2020 was likely wasting his prime in a rebuild and when we get out on the other side... he’s declined.

He's talking out of both sides of his mouth...  good lawyering... bad for actually doing the job he was hired to do.  But perfect for retaining the job that he's clearly not qualified to hold.

After Hurts’ comments today, he needs to get traded.  Can’t have him coming into camp thinking he’s the starter.

Yeah

Regardless of what’s what, I am challenging myself to be the best quarterback I can be. Learn from my mistakes.

One thing that I do and I always have done is try to keep the right mentality. I control what I can. I have always been that way and I always will be that way. The main thing I can control is my work ethic, my effort, where my head is at, the relationships I have with those around me. Just building. Building as a man, building as a player

Who wants that ?

Adam Schefter isn't the best reporter in sports because he speculates baselessly without any knowledge. It is very obvious that Carson doesn't want to be here. He could silence all of the nonsense with one tweet. He could welcome Sirianni to the team. Etc.

I suspect he is more interested in his relatively new wife and his baby than reading or watching reporters speculate about his future.

One is much better, I think the team would be getting 2 big contributors.  I also like the Mukuama selection.  The 2nd is meh.  I think Surtain is probably not a top 10 pick in another draft.  I like Najee Harris.  I'm not sure about anyone else.

Don’t be disingenuous — that’s not the portion of what he said that I had issue with.  I already stated where I had issue with his comments

Just a pure cancer - maybe just cut him.

Two years after winning the Super Bowl Lurie makes Doug fire two coaches, after he announces their jobs are safe and now we should believe Doug and his coaching staff had all this influence in the Draft?   If Doug went 9-7 for three straight years he would of been fired, maybe after two since he wasn’t Lurie’s pick of the litter.

Howie has final say on the draft, FA’s and the 53 man roster, and he’s had that since Chip was fired.

As far as Wentz is concerned and how he played this past season or his attitude, maybe the Eagles didn’t give a crap that he had a concussion, or maybe he felt that way. Either way, go watch 5-6 games from his rookie year and do the same for this year, he played like a guy that has brain damage.   You don’t lose pocket awareness as a veteran QB, and you don’t just start throwing more ints in 10 games than in your previous 2 years.

This is the guy y'all are clinging to. Look at this quote, it is absolute Fing stupid. Nothing but speculation and he ends it by saying "it could go either way" so whatever happens he can go back and say I told you so. He's a Fing clown like any other reporter

A true howie-ism quote. Talking out of both sides of his mouth And playing both sides of the fence. Only thing that could be missing is if something goes against him he blames it on someone else

Make no mistake about it, he’s well aware of what is being said.

That is clearly a case of a guaranteed maybe, but then on the other hand, a possibility of a definite 'I dont know', with a dash of a probable unknown with a splash of an absolute guess.

And I assume like me, he knows it is click bait nonsense not worthy of dignifying with a response.

Exactly. He's just towing the middle line and speculating. And when there is an actual report or Carson actual comes out and says something, his response will be "As I've been saying from the beginning" or "Wentz and the Eagles were able to amicably air the differences and have mended their relationship."
