I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Its actually quite scary isn't it. I mean the fear before the year was there may be so many different opinions and approaches that it all becomes confusing. But there wasn't one single creative thing despite all those minds?

The read option wasn’t creative?

What happened to mac Jones and trask? Lance is better than them?
I watch college ball every Saturday and have literally never heard of this Lance dude until 5 minutes ago. To be fair I’ve never watched a North Dakota state game in my life

NDSU postponed their season to the spring, and he opted out for the NFL. He played one game this fall against some crap team to showcase his skills

Pretty cool of them to do that for him and his family

You know, I really wanted to maintain my stance that Mayfield is a giant dooooooosh. Thanks for ruining my dream. <_<

Just kidding. That’s cool of them to do.

So if Wentz gets traded his likely destination is the Colts. Last year they traded their 1st round pick for a DT. If they aren’t willing to trade at least that for Wentz (a QB) then that should tell you that Reich doesn’t think he’s spectacular either.

I’m hoping to keep Wentz btw

I’ll pass on Dazzy Vance or Trey Lance or Lance Armstrong. Let’s get some guys in here who can play. No more projects or reaches. Good solid football players.

I'd pass too, but he's a pretty good QB prospect. He's a much better Jalen Hurts. He might make sense somewhere in Atlanta where he can be the backup for a year.

I don’t think that’s necessarily true. The Eagles could be asking for more in a trade for wentz then Frank wants to pay and goes elsewhere and finds somebody like Sam darnold or Matt Stafford who the lions are rumored to trade away. He might like wentz a lot but not worth the price the Eagles are asking where as those teams it is much more reasonable and he also likes them. we aren’t privy to that info

Cool. Howie will take a fireman.

I have seen ranked as high as the 2nd QB prospect before the 2020 season.  CBS has him as the 12th overall prospect.  PFF has him as the 6th overall prospect and 2nd QB prospect currently.

To each their own but with the way Mac Jones has played this year, I'd even take Jones over Lance, tbh.  And I wouldn't take either of them 6th overall.  If they go that route (highly doubtful) they could trade back to 12-15 and both would likely be available there.

But he’s worked with Wentz before and that was in an MVP caliber season. Reich isn’t the GM but I think it’s somewhat telling if they give up a 1st for a DT but not Wentz

One who pulls his hamstring on the way to the fire

Not really if you can get Matt Stafford for a 2nd round pick and you can keep your first round pick and add players to put around Matt Stafford don’t you think that would be a better alternative than giving up a 1st even if you love wentz? I don’t think this is strictly I love Carson Wentz so let’s just give them a first round pick. If there’s an alternative that you also love and you give up less draft capital and you think you can have as much success with that alternative wouldn’t you just rather do that alternative?

** I assume he is not going to get more than a second and mid round pick because he’s going to be 33 years old, needs a new contract and has had some injuries. If he were younger i think easily gets a first.

I still don't understand how a coach (or the Lions) have never been able to win anything with a QB like Stafford.  The guy is easily a top 10 QB in the NFL.

He should’ve had a lot more success than what he has. And it’s not all or not even mostly his fault. Bad coaches after bad coaches.

But I can see the lions and there’s been rumors that they’re willing to trade him. If Stafford was younger and didn’t have some of the injuries he had I could see them getting a first round pick for him. However he’s going to be 33 years old at the start of next year. I don’t think they’re going to get more than a second round pick and maybe a mid rounder. But I do think on the Colts for a second round pick and you put Stafford at quarterback you likely have a 2-3 year window with him to win a title

2 years if ya lucky 😂 all bs aside I'd like to see Stafford win.  Even a few playoff games. His durability and indy line play would be something.

You’re really starting to frighten me with your QB evaluations.  Mac Jones is not a first round talent; he has a similar lack of arm strength that Hurts has, and he’ll end up a 2nd round pick — probably late second.

Stafford sucks and has a winning % of about .200 against teams with winning records.  He’s the Matt Ryan of Michigan

Reports are out that some of the Eagles players were mad about the tank job Pederson pulled.

I assume because the Colts have a great offensive line and running game it probably could extend the window as he won’t take nearly as many hits and potentially injuries.

Very mobile, extremely raw QB...

He needs some work but I wouldn’t say "extremely” raw. He about were Carson was coming out of NDSU.

If you like one QB more than another you get that QB. The Colts "settling” on Stafford would be quite telling.
