For Eagles cap purposes, that is the only option to lower the Eagles cap number.   What is an acceptable dead cap hit to the Eagles, 20 million ??  If so, you think he has 13.8 million dollars laying around to just write a check ??  And in that scenario, he has to pay that money before the start of the 2021 league year.

first I dont think Wentz wants out of here, certainly not bad enough to cough up 13 mill. 

I merely listed the only 3 scenarios to make it happen, and none are likely. 

Most of this is just people wishcasting because they dislike the guy for some reason.

I'd be shocked if Jenkins were the source. This is a guy who would stand at his locker and answer questions thoroughly until reporters had nothing left to ask. If Jenkins felt compelled to put something critical out there, he's the one guy I'd bet would definitely put his name on it.

To trade Wentz for a 3rd or worse and take a 33M cap hit would be dumb. Howie is at least smart enough to hang up the phone.

If I were Wentz that is how I would take it and it clearly is how he took it.

Yeah he also was the one adamant that if the eagles fired doug then they had someone in mind and knew they’d get him. I mean it wasn’t a bad theory but turned out to be completely wrong
