Ex-frickin-actly.

I firmly believe the proper way forward is to have Wentz as starter and work with the Sirianni-Steichen offense.  Get the OL healthy, draft a WR to go with Reagor, Fulgham, Goedert, etc and find a quality RB to complement Sanders.

If I find out tomorrow Wentz or his agent have made a formal request to be traded and something becomes imminent, I’ll deal with that reality if it ever presents itself.  I doubt it will.

BINGO!

Lol, that’s not even what I said. I said if he wants to return the smart thing is to say so to take some heat off of him. You made up a poll that bastardized my point.

Has Wentz or his agent asked for a trade to your knowledge?

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I don't think so but honestly I guess we couldn't really tell

Maybe Downundermike can make a poll about it.

No. I never said they did either.

Calm down...you are going against a rising tide...this guy not only stalks you on archived EMB but facebook as well...he is a cap genius and now is credited with scientifically valid polls all in an attempt to bring you to heel... a true force of nature I tell you

And you will see a bunch of people vote that he does not need to say it, he is under contract and we don't need any more confirmation than that.

Ok, good, now if he nor his agent hasn't stated either publicly or to the Eagles that he wants to be traded, why in the world do you keep thinking his silence is saying he does want to be traded?  His silence is telling me either he doesn't want to be traded or he has not made up his mind yet, but either way till he does ask to be traded, this whole debate is moot.

If he does indeed get traded then I hope Nick is able to get his guy whether in draft or through trade or something. I don't think Hurts is the answer but if Nick feels he wants to go with him then fine. I just hope he molds his offense around the strength of whoever is at QB and adapts it if and when necessary

I'm tired of bad play calling and putting players on the field that shouldn't be there

What is wrong with getting a vote to see where the majority stands ??  Worried it won't align with your agenda ??

I’ve explained it probably a dozen times. I’m not doing it anymore. Go back and read it if you want.

I’m not worried in the slightest about a messageboard poll, I can assure you of that.

No ??? Then why this narrative of his concern with Howie using a 2nd on Hurts ? I mean potentially he could be his replacement but he was told the intent. CW is a QB and Howie is the GM

First of all, the old board was archived for a reason, by the owner of this board.  We were discussing previous interactions in regards to the Wentz / Foles debate and that posters banning because of it.

Secondly, someone posted that guys FB info on the old board years ago, and we all went and looked because the laughs were epic.

Neither of those things had anything to do with Manu

Third, what is the problem with a poll to answer the question.  When you are acting like you are in a majority that you are not, a poll clears it up quickly.

There's a big difference between "having" to say something and his silence suggesting something. He doesn't have to do anything, but clearly the Wentz of old would have welcomed his new coach on social media, as he's always done with any new addition to the franchise.

Has there been any reporter who's come out and said Wentz loves it in Philly and really wants to be back?

You'd think there would be one reporter who'd come out and go "I don't know where Garafolo, Schefter, McLane and all those guys are getting their info, but from what I was told Wentz loves it in Philly and badly wants to be back."

We haven't gotten that from anyone. All the smoke is in the Wentz wants to leave category, and that's irrespective to whether he speaks about it or not.

Do we know for sure? No. But if one can't even acknowledge it's a possibility at the very least, if not maybe even likely, that's denial of the highest order.

So you lied when you said it wasn't true...gotcha....

How long before Carson Wentz is called a Christian white supremacist?

This might be my favorite response yet.  Doug Pederson hired January 18 2016, Carson Wentz drafted April 28 2016.

So the Wentz of old has never had a new head coach in the NFL until now, so there is absolutely no past to judge how he should welcome him.

first I dont think Wentz wants out of here, certainly not bad enough to cough up 13 mill.

I merely listed the only 3 scenarios to make it happen, and none are likely.

Most of this is just people wishcasting because they dislike the guy for some reason.

Could get the other team to compensate him or are you sayin we overpaid because they wont give it to him ?

Still too big a cap hit and where did the $13 mil number come from again ? I see another $20 mil prorated signing bonus unaccounted for

No one is saying that rumors or whatever would disappear into the night’s sky, but there is zero doubt it would take the temperature down quite a few degrees. His silence makes it worse.

It’s clear he isn’t 100 percent wanting to return to Philly. I think it’s wild that people can’t acknowledge that his silence means something. You guys are burying your heads in the sand here.

Manu I just think the facts don’t back you up on the silence.  Carson doesn’t shun the media but he doesn’t go out seeking them either.  He wasn’t obligated to do an end of season interview so he didn’t. Who can blame him?  The Philly media isn’t exactly gracious or polite in their questions.  They are more like junkyard dogs chasing a slab of meat.   Carson just came off his worse season.  He hit rock bottom.  Would you want to talk to the Philly press or go home and get yourself straightened out?

So he goes home to rural Texas.  I spend a lot of time in rural East Texas.  I can assure you that there is no Philadelphia media there.  Even the NFL Network, ESPN and the internet requires Hughes Network and goes out in thunderstorms.  So I doubt he is getting a lot of this media hype out on the farm.

I also researched his Twitter today.  He just doesn’t post much and very little football related. Heck his NRG, Bobcat and a couple other paid sponsor tweets at the least equaled his football related tweets. And since he did not tweet welcomes to Taylor, Wallace, Driscoll, Hightower, Wanogho, Bradley, Watkins and Toohill, I guess he doesn’t like their being added to the team.   Judging by his YouTube and Instagram film ad photos of his using his Bobcat, I can only conclude that he wants to retire and clear brush with his Bobcat all day long.  The media on that is deafening. (Sarcasm intended.)

I suspect Carson does as much media as the job requires and no more.  Smart move for anyone dealing with the Philly sports media.   The only thing that Carson’s silence has done is convince me how bad speculative press has gotten in the Twitter age of sports journalism.

If Howie can somehow land Watson his reputation would be totally redeemed. Wentz could be a good fit in Houston.  Especially since they got a culty holy roller running the show

Every time a free agent is signed or traded for or drafted he welcomes them to the team on social media. It's what he does.

lol...you as in general for people....you stalk people...to humiliate and brag about it....just as this idiotic poll against a blog regular who has always stayed above the drama and acted with great integrity....
