I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Idk what you are laughing at. But you believe Matt Stafford is the only reason why he has the current record he does against winning teams? Because I can show you that the majority of his career he’s had a bad head coach, bad offensiveline and his defense for the majority of his tenure as quarterback has been bottom half of the league. But all those things don’t matter because Matt Stafford is the only reason the Lions are losing those games vs. winning teams lol it’s why that statistic does not tell you the whole story.

And if it’s the Carson Wentz weapons thing go look at their wide receivers. Go throughout the league and show me at least three teams that Eagles have better wide receivers then. Please go show me because I pointed that out week one. And it’s proven to be right

With our cap situation like it is, I think this might finally be the year where Ferris makes it at CB for the Eagles.

Reports are out that some of the Eagles players were mad about the tank job Pederson pulled.

No one should ever believe this was a Doug decision only.

Seriously.  11 starters were out and they discussed giving Sudfeld playing time prior to the game.

Don't ask for much,  one day the FO will hire a Gm who can make the tough decisions, but set pride aside when the easy ones present themselves.

On the surface it sounds like a QB who is afraid he cant beat the backup which is not the ideal level of competitiveness you want from your QB. In reality, Wentz's issue may be that he knows he can beat Hurts and its not even close, however he doesnt know that the coaching staff can recognize him as the winner since they cant seem to evaluate the talent level of their players very well.

I would argue that TJ Edwards needs to be in the base formation but they need another linebacker when they are out of base that’s better in coverage

also Driscoll would be RT

Based off listening to Adam caplan On his podcast and last night on 975  this really all feels like it stems back to the fact the Eagles took Jalen hurts in the second round and he didn’t feel the Eagles supported him the way they should after he finished the 2019 season the way he did. That’s not my interpretation but that’s what I gather based off of how caplan was talking on the situation with what he knew

I'm not in that argument lol

I just noted how Stafford had a HoFer to throw to and Wentz has had jackshit. Don't mind me. I'm just a little frustrated at our WR drafting capacity

I hate Howie

I admit he needs weapons. No argument from me lol I hate that they trash drafting WRs. None of us get paid for our opinions but some of these picks were just obvious mistakes a blind man could see. Wentz still has his own issues to be worked out.

Brady still has it...

I couldn't even tell you if Singleton was a MLB or OLB in our scheme.  Edwards we know is a MLB.

I think those 2 are serviceable but they should not be handed jobs.  It's not like Singleton is a young core piece.

However, if those 2 guys are starting, I want a legit athletic LB.  No more Duke Riley's or Davion Taylor types.  I want a linebacker.

Laughing because it was true not cause I disagree. The decisions Howie makes and lurie allows sure is a test of patience and mind boggle.

On the surface it sounds like media creating their own narrative rather than 'reporting the facts'.  Domo is trying to read Wentz' mindset and offering it as the reality of the situation.

If I were Wentz... I'd be pissed too.    You draft a guy with speed, and is dangerous in the open field... then design and call plays like that to... GREG WARD.  He watched Reagor get 4 opportunities on PR and score a TD.   While he watched Greg Ward let the ball bounce repeatedly and put the offense into a hole all the time.  He watched as the top leading WR in the NFL over a 4 or 5 week span got pushed to the back burner, as a guy whose fingerprints are all over the knife that was embedded in his back as an anonymous source was elevated.  He watched as other teams went out and got their QBs weapons... Murray got Hopkins.  Allen got Diggs.   Wentz got... Alshon?  He watched as the most polished WR in the draft was passed on to bring in a guy that everyone knew was raw and would take a while to get going in the NFL, in a year when the OTAs and TC and PS were already in grave jeopardy (the whole draft was virtual with no private workouts, etc.)  He watched as his GM put more money into the DT position, while not putting more money into the WR position.

I'm pissed, and I only have to WATCH this crap.  I only have to stomach the patheticness, I don't have to go out there and have my success or failure linked to these rubes.

I did as well on my family game text then I heard Arsenal yell from wherever he lives that Carson sucks.

Yep.  Your boy would have taken the sack there.  But that way his weak arm wouldn't be exposed, only his terrible decision making and lack of ability to read the field.  Both of which would be excused by you by hauling out some go to Wentzcuses, like blaming the OL for not blocking, the receivers for not getting open, Doug for sabotaging poor widdle carsy poo, etc. etc. etc.

Yeah. Its not good when the QB doesnt support the idea of having a good backup. Thats a really poor attitude. Its not just about a lack of competitiveness to want to prove yourself and squash the competition. Its also selfish, not wanting to help the next guy behind you be the best he can be. Not wanting the team to be set up to still do well if you get hurt, etc.

I remember as far back as having Jeff Blake as a backup. And I dont remember if he was any good at that point, but I do remember he was a name after some pretty good seasons with the Bengals, and I remember Spadaro's piece talking about what a great QB situation they had. And it seems like ever since then (maybe even before) the eagles have almost always ensured they had a great situation at backup QB. Its not about not supporting Wentz, its just been this team's philosophy for decades.

With all that said, I think Caplan is wrong. They seemed to have a great QB room when Wentz, Foles, and Sudfeld were together. And we have seen Wentz talking to Hurts on the sidelines in games Hurts started, seemingly helping him out too.

Oh cool.

I can’t believe we wasted a second round pick on a developmental QB because the cost of a good backup QB is high.

And now the team sucks so having a good backup QB to win a game or two is pretty much meaningless.

Howie is so dumb.
