I think there's an awful lot of smoke for there not to be serious discussions.  In any event, it doesn't bother me. We will see a bunch of conflicting reports until a deal either does or doesn't happen.  Keep in mind, I wouldn't put it past Lurie to kill a deal at the last minute.

Yep. Sounds like we are getting pretty close here. I’m curious to see what we get back but this is still heartbreaking, even understanding that Carson hasn’t lived up to his potential.

He was supposed to have been an all time-type player for us.

If we do trade him I hope it’s to the AFC. We had a nice 5 year run.

Right.  If they move him, so be it.  I am not going to be surprised. That would seem to signal that they are throwing in the towel next season, at the very least. 

At least then we can move to the next pissing match and put this one in our rearview.

Wonder if the HC in Houston has mentioned anything, considering a Wentz trade affects his team and he is really well liked among the media in Philly.  It’s all speculation at this point  no ones right, no ones wrong.

He played 3 years at BYU, only 1 season did he do well. Note to point out that one single season was during a Covid year that a lot of top players and teams did not play. I dont get the Fields love either. There has been zero Qbs come out of Ohio State and have any success at the next level. Why do we want to risk a top pick in the draft on that type of metric? 

There are no QBs drafting in this years draft in the first round. Im not even sold on pretty boy Lawrence. This is just a bad year to draft a QB. If anyone Id rather take a shot at Mac Jones in the 2nd round if he is there. But no way Im taking a Qb in the top 10 this year. 

As for Fields, that argument is lazy. An Urban Meyer QB is not a Ryan Day QB. Ryan Day can actually be a good HC in the pros imo. I don’t see Urban succeeding in the pros unless his coordinators carry him.

Injuries were also horrendous in 2020, will we always be this injured? That cost us some. Just staying healthy would have won us the division last year. 

The team has some young players who may or may not respond to better coaching, may or may not improve.  I'm betting the Oline and WR's will be better.

I think you’re underestimating how hard it is to win as a rookie head coach in the league. There are guys who have been able to do it but usually they have a franchise type quarterback like an Aaron Rodgers in doing so. I think Kyle shanahan is one of the better head coach is in the league and his first year in San Francisco did not go well. It’s far more likely sirianni as a rookie head coach has his own set of struggles along with a less than stellar roster. 

also the eagle special teams with returns besides a Jalen Reagor td return has not been good since Darren Sproles got her in 2017. I do not expect them to make a drastic jump from not very good to great. Nor do i think that wins them a ton more games. 

I can’t bet that the offensive line Is going to be better. Jason Kelce might retire. Also Brandon Brooks is coming off a torn Achilles. I expect him to play at a high-level but he might not be the same player anymore at 32 and coming off another major injury. I Love Lane Johnson and I’m hoping this ankle surgery gets him back on the right track that hasn’t been able to stay healthy the last three years and his body might be breaking down. So your oline you hope is doesn’t mean it will. And nothing at wide receiver tells me they are definitely going to be better. They have the same wide receiver coach coming back and really the only WR on the roster i view has a chance to be an above average starter is reagor.

He will be...just for someone else....and that is going to make it an organizational failure, which we will still be stuck with.  I don't blame him one bit.  He is living what we all see with Howie, Doug, and the rest.

I think there's smoke there may be offers, but the "Eagles are receiving aggressive trade offers" screams to me the Eagles are putting out they want teams to step up their offer. 

I have changed my opinion I now think Wentz will get traded.  Do I think it is correct move?  Who knows but I now believe he will not be an Eagle next season.

Luck hasn’t played in a couple years so who knows lol. Luck at full potential vs Wentz at full potential it would be close.

If Wentz is traded and starts playing like a top 10 QB again, we better hope that the Eagles find some way to have relatively immediate success. If not, this fanbase will turn on this team in a way we haven't seen in a long time.

Trust the guy (Garagolo) who has confirmed his reporting from sources around the league or a guy (Dan) who spoke to one person who would apparently know that none of the 31 teams have contacted the Eagles.  Only way it makes sense is if Dan's source is with the Eagles.
