If Wentz is traded and starts playing like a top 10 QB again, we better hope that the Eagles find some way to have relatively immediate success. If not, this fanbase will turn on this team in a way we haven't seen in a long time.

I still want Wentz to be the QB of this team. I think he's the better option than Hurts. I think he's a better option than any QB you can get at 6. But none of that matters if he's mentally checked out here, the chemistry/relationship is beyond salvageable, and he's not onboard with Sirianni and co. If that's the case, you have to trade him. I think he will become a top 5-10 QB again with another team which is the most frustrating part, but it won't be here if he doesn't want to be here.

I compare it to MMA. You're either all-in and fully committed or you get your block knocked off. It happened to Ronda Rousey when she talked about possibly retiring, it happened to McGregor when he got too big for the sport, and it's happened to others as well. I think the same thing applies to quarterbacks as well. If you're not all-in mentally and committed, you'll fold at the slightest bit of trouble or choppy waters. This team is not winning 13-14 games next season. There will be some rough patches and consecutive losses where it's going to take some fortitude to get through. And I don't want a guy who doesn't want to be here being the leader trying to get guys through that.

It was the same thing with Doug. I think you could have made a case for him keeping his job, but none of that matters because he was mentally fried here.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

No matter what happens, the Wentz era was a success. He was the best player in 2017. We won a SB.

If he doesn't tear his ACL/PCL, we're likely talking about back to back SB trips and more wins. Wentz wasn't the same athlete post knee/back injuries. That's bad luck, even though we correctly identified the right player.

So Geoff mosher made a great point in their podcast this morning. If or when Carson Wentz is traded and they have the press conference and you can almost hear the Eagles spinning it in a way to make it look like their franchise is not disorganized and is not in a bad state. Theyll claim earl Thomas left the Seahawks or Gronkowski was traded from the patriots and that this type of stuff just happens in the NFL. And I agree with mosher and caplan that that’s a BS logic they’re going to feed everyone to spin it like everything is OK when it’s not inside that organization. You do not draft a quarterback at two and move up to get that quarterback at two five years ago and have him be an MVP in 2017 and then give him a massive extension to then just trade him a year and a half later.

Agree with mosher and caplan That is just dysfunction from a bad run organization. And this doesn’t just fall on Lurie, roseman or the coaches. Wentz also has blame in this for allowing his performance to get to the point of where they were at. However the organization and everyone involved is a complete dysfunction and failure. And the things that Eagles front office did contributed mightily to it getting to this point along with wentz and the coaching staff from last year

Spot on. 2017 Wentz is the closest I've come in my lifetime to seeing the best QB in the league play for my team. What a ride.

People can sugercoat it all they want. There's only one word to describe this team's current status: dysfunctional

But, But, we should believe the media......................smoke.................fire........................blah,blah.blah

Yep the organization is a complete mess. It's very distressing how Lurie does not want to hold Howie accountable in the slightest and can't even bring himself to say anything that isn't overflowing in praise for Roseman.

This divorce has been years in the making. Eagles have only themselves to blame for hiw poorly they have managed their relationship with Wentz.

Don't know if this is the best example.  Gronk is about to play in a Super Bowl with his new team, and his former team finished 3rd in their division.

That is the most likely outcome if we trade Wentz.  He exceeds expectations and we turn into the Browns.

See ya

People will blame the Eagles because they dislike Howie, but this is waaaay more on Carson.

His point is theyll still use it to show these type of things happen to even good organizations around the nfl. That was more or less his point then what happens after he leaves. If wentz leaves and becomes what they envisioned when drafting him and paying him then it’s a huge bad business decision and the dysfunction looks even worse as they had the guy in their organization and managed to piss it away

Sorry but half of this fanbase better stfu about it.

Right.  If they move him, so be it.  I am not going to be surprised. That would seem to signal that they are throwing in the towel next season, at the very least.

At least then we can move to the next pissing match and put this one in our rearview.

It should unify the blog, aside from Afan, in the hatred of Howie.

Nothing like delusional fans giving lurie and howie a pass. I suggest listening to mosher and caplan on their podcast. They laid it out pretty well this is largely on the organization as a whole from howie and lurie to coaches to wentz.

Oh BS.

I'm more inline with Les.  How would a source unless it was with the Eagles know who has called or not called about Carson Wentz?

Oh you know they won’t.

If the Patriots are one of the teams making an offer for Wentz, then I'd bet Lurie and Howie got played by McDaniels. This is obviously pure speculation, but just imagine the valuable insight into Wentz that they divulged in their 8+ hour interview.

Carson here's your old busted up oline and receivers we're going qb with our 2nd pick cause qb factory. Oh and every play will require 4 seconds for someone to get open and we aint running it.

WHY U MAD BRO!?!?!?

How does Howie continue to have apologists?  He's a disaster.

They won't.  There will be a victory parade until the draft.

It won't.  Much gloating will ensue.

And we will remember the names of that half on the EMB
