My memory is likely off, but Carson did work with a QB coach after his rookie season and was an MVP candidate.  He hasn't since then.  I wish Carson worked as hard on his craft as he does on his hunting.  And this is coming from a Wentz lover who wants him to remain an Eagle.  But he must work on everything from footwork, arm motion, reading defenses, anticipation, every off season with a coach who can see the little things that make the big differences.  Personally, for all QBs I'd like it to be a contractual obligation, just like clauses that don't allow skiing or other high risk activities.

You aren't one of these guys are you? I didn't take you as one.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

But, But, we should believe the media......................smoke.................fire........................blah,blah.blah

No ones called about Carson Wentz....I wonder why?

Unlike some other things, we would know if he is doing it as it doesn't happen in a vacuum.  There are always other QBs, receivers, RBs training with them.  We would know.

You are making a massive assumption that you know exactly what he does to develop and improve in the offseason, but that's par for the course for Philly "fans."

Well let's just get on with trading Carson.  So we can find out who the next high profile athlete this city can run out of town?

Embiid is playing at an MVP level.  Let's target him.

Apparently so....SMH.

I'll start. Embiid stinks I would trade him for a cheesesteak

The media speculation is crap.

For example, "Eagles might have to attach draft compensation to move Wentz" - uh, they're rebuilding, why would they bother when they can just keep him and eat the cap money and trade him in the future, it's not like moving him would free up cap room for a huge FA spree for two years in any case. Because it was done for Goff, it would be done for Wentz, deep thinkers out there!

Sirianni hasn't even meet with Wentz yet, he's just started his in-depth review of the team. I doubt Howie would make this move before Sirianni had made a decision whether to go forward with Wentz or writing him off as a lost cause.

Now, would Howie talk with other GMs about a possible trade? Sure. The draft isn't until late April, he doesn't know what his new HC will decide, so of course he's going to listen to offers and get a sense of the tradeoffs of keeping or moving Wentz. It's called "information gathering."

The idea that Howie would make this move without the assent of Sirianni is ridiculous, it's one thing for a GM to have the final say, it's quite another to hire a HC then make a major move that the new HC vehemently disagrees with. And the Eagles are a consensus organization, they'll thrash this out internally before making a move.

That’s too much common sense and won’t sell ads.

You're going to hate him even worse if you allow to happen what I think might happen.

No way. After last year, and the campaigns... and the murals.... there is absolutely NO way Carson "tweets" anything.  In fact, I'd be surprised if Wentz's wife ( & Agent) haven't confiscated his cell phones.

How do bears survive in the dumble?

I’m willing to bet Aaron nola eventually is also up there.

In hindsight I’m kind of glad Dawkins left when he did. With this fan base his performance would’ve dropped like peters as he aged and if he kept coming back they’d have turned on him at that point and tarnished some of his legacy.

Honestly in cases where the old farts won't retire they deserve criticism.

If Wentz said "Excited to get out there and play for Sirianni" or some generic tweet like that wouldn't be appropriate?

What is inappropriate is people saying that it should be done in a tweet or media statement for public consumption.

How do you know that these guys are not talking daily ??

The fact that fans think they are entitled to anything is the problem with this entire situation.

Honestly, he just seems more passionate about that part of his life.  I get it.  I'm much more passionate about my hobbies than my job.  And while I couldn't wait for Doug to be gone and will cast spells until Howie is, Carson was poor in so many QB areas this past season.  I have a fundamental belief: we do what we practice, we don't do what we don't practice.  I will use Brady because he is the best example: he practices his craft relentlessly.  Physical, nutrional, neurological.  I think Wentz would be amazing if he followed the same path.

Its not about being entitled or saying he should.  It's pointing out how easy it would be for Wentz to kill these rumors if there was no truth to it.  The silence is very telling, especially when he already established two years ago he will comment on offseason rumors in order to try to set the record straight.  It's going to be really interesting to see how some people here react to the trade when it happens since there are a number of you that are in full belief that this is all made up by the media and the Eagles and Wentz are in a great spot with their relationship.

And as my poll proved, less than 20% of people think it is an issue.  The majority do not care if he speaks or not, ITS NONE OF OUR BUSINESS.

Exactly, yes that would be an assumption.  But working with a QB coach is easily tracked.

Did Foles say anything during the off-season after the eagles lost to the Saints in the playoffs? I honestly don’t remember.

there was speculation all over.

It doesn't bother me anyway. Its clear that he isn't happy here.  The ones that this is really bothering are those like you that are trying to reach for everything that you can to justify your denial about the Wentz-Eagles situation.

They picked up his option and he declined it. I think everyone knew he was leaving

Yeah I'm pretty sure after the game he talked about his love for the organization and city and how he would like to stay but it's a business  yadayadayadayda

And yet you don't know that he doesn't. In fact wasn't something going around about how he changed to a more vegan diet this year?

What a tremendous fall from grace for this organization. This is sad, embarrassing, and pathetic.

...and unnecessary.

Nice try but that article from 2018 doesn't even come close to what you are claiming.

Also this is from the same article

"On the season, Wentz is completing a career-high 69.7 percent of his passes while averaging 282 passing yards with 16 touchdowns and six interceptions in nine games. Wentz only threw seven interceptions last season in 13 games."

I hate how Kelce hasn't come out and said if he's retiring or returning in 2021. Can we trade him too?
