Why? Cause personally i don’t think any of the QBs after Lawrence are a franchise QB. And the eagles just invested a second round pick in hurts. They gushed about him and said they didn’t want to miss out like they did years ago Russell Wilson. I’m almost guaranteeing hurts is your starter

I love all these tweets and articles quoting other reporters.  Maybe they should just interview a random EMB poster for content.   My how fall SI has fallen.   Never liked it much except a quick look at the swimsuit edition anyway.  Growing up in the centerfold era and an hour drive to the beach, SI was pretty much so what. Back then Sporting News and even Football Digest were better sports publications.

Cause Hurts didn't show crap to warrant keeping him. Mistake if that is their plan. They just signed Wentz to a huge contract too. New coach is a time to fix mistakes. 

Also Mahomes and Watson didn't really show a ton the year they were drafted either. 

The Bears trading for Wentz would be hilarious. Wentz and Foles back together again!

Cause they aren’t throwing away a 2nd round pick after 3.5 games. Imo they didn’t invest him to be a backup but to be wentz’s replacement if they were forced to move on at some point in the next 1-3 years. 

Well the Bears pick 20th.  Def need more than that.

I think the Eagles do their homework on the QBs in the draft and if Fields or Wilson drops to 6 then they consider it.  If not then I think they give Hurts a chance this year and either shows something in his second year as starter or he falls flat and the Eagles will be in position to get a QB in the draft next year.

That's why I don't  think Foles will return this year. If the Eagles bring him back, it won't happen for a couple of years when it is clear that Foles isn't a starter.  That's clear to some of us now. But, they won't want the distraction right now.

This comes from the organization that just drafted a QB in the second round after giving wentz a massive contract. You sure they don’t want that distraction?

Why not? They are giving up on their franchise QB a year after giving him a monster deal and eating a ton of cap. Hurts is nothing but a backup from what he showed. Dump him for a pick as well. The guy is going to be nothing but a benchwarmer. They also piss away a ton of 2nd round picks lately. So what is new
