I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Foles, Allen Robinson, and Roquan Smith is the minimum I take in a package for Wentz.

Robinson is a free agent

Could you imagine the moment hurts struggles everyone turning on hurts and wanting to play foles? This is the same stupidity the eagles did when they had wentz and drafted hurts in the second round. Except it would be doing to hurts having foles behind him what the foles was behind wentz lol.

The trade hasn’t even happened and I already want Foles over Hurts.

You're cherry picking, the beginning of the decade was the end of a 11 year run, 9 of 11 PO seasons, 5 NFC championship games and a SB, under AR.

So after that, 5 winning seasons, 4 PO appearances and won a SB - and that's a problem?

There are maybe 5 franchise QBs in the NFL at any one time (and a bunch who have a couple good years, then are replaced by a new set of guys who have a couple good years).

McNabb was never a franchise QB, he was a good QB with a great offensive HC who schemed around his limitations.

It would be nice to go on a decade run like we had under AR, or Seattle under Carroll, or NE under Belichick, or PIT under Tomlin or GB with Rodgers. 27 other NFL franchises have the same wish. More realistically, if Sirianni can last ten years with 5 PO appearances and a SB appearance, he'd be well ahead of the pack.

Yes cause what happened 20 years ago matters. Congrats bringing up 20 years ago is every cowboys favorite dream. i love the lame 20 year argument. I don’t give a flying F what happened in 2000-2004.  That’s an eternity ago in the nfl. I might as well just go back 30 years and i can make the argument for the cowboys if we are going back 20 years. Recent history of 10 years has shown the eagles outside of 2017 weren’t close to SB caliber. Without that outlier year they are a below .500 organization, who really recently (3years) have drafted poorly and had 1 playoff win outside of the 2017 SB run so i should ignore the last 10 year cause 2 decades ago they were organized with Andy Reid  please

But hey you are right let’s just throw away the 9 years where they were by definition average. Meanwhile the one year clearly indicates how this franchise has looked for much of the last decade.

man now mcnabb wasn’t a franchise qb. So being the best QB in franchise history and for a decade. Getting to a SB and 5 nfc title games doesn’t make you a franchise QB now?

Anyone who wants Foles at QB is crazy, he had two short spurts running a RPO under Chip and Doug, otherwise he's been absolutely putrid.

It's a team game, McNabb had a good run from 2000-2004, but a lot of that was the system and the OL, since 2005 he was middle of the pack at best.

During that 5 year span, 59.1%, 110/50 TD/INT, Y/A 6.7, Rating 86.1

My *sources tell me Eagles in agreement to trade Wentz to Chicago, Trubisky to Jets, Darnold to Indy, All teams send their 1st round to Houston and Watson to Philly.

I'll admit that I'm hung up on this.  Haskins was unbelievable at Ohio State.

Watch just the highlights, and you’ll see Fields is a completely different QB. I’m not saying Fields is any better though.   Look at ‘bama, they haven’t had a good one since Stabler.

So we just throw away his 2000-2004? So i can throw away that 2017 over the last cause that was indicative of the last 10 years. That is 2000-2004 mcnabb with what you are doing.

What is more amazing is you will use the last 20 years to justify trusting the eagles to make an argument but will exclude mcnabb’s 2000-2004 to downplay him. However he last 10 years besides 2017 is not very good. 1 playoff win in 9 other seasons outside of 2017. And below .500 by 3 games. What seems more probable: 2017 is an outlier/lightning in a bottle for the organization or the 9 years of 78-81-1 record and 1 playoff win?

I get the joke, but Trubisky is a free agent.

Howie drafted him though so he's good.

Like the Jets would know he's a FA.

Might as well just bring mcnabb back. Cause 20 years ago the eagles had a ton of success and that clearly carries over 21 years later. We’ve become the fans we hate. cowboys fans do that. They too bring up things happening 20+ years ago to make their justifications.

That was their 2020 first. They have their 2021 and 2022 firsts

People will blame the Eagles because they dislike Howie, but this is waaaay more on Carson.

I don't know what people don't get about this. Wentz is the one who played like the worst QB in the league.

Exactly, yes that would be an assumption.  But working with a QB coach is easily tracked.

If you say so.  Sounds made up to me.

Wentz definitely has blame in this. But when caplan and mosher along with other reporters with sources we believe or one situation but i guess not this situation detail how howie, lurie and doug were a major part in all this we should ignore them.

i haven’t said wentz doesn’t have a massive part in this either. He for sure does. But when you have the same sources saying he isn’t happy and we believe that. Then when they say it’s a complete crap show of dysfunction from Owner to FO to coach to Wentz. Then maybe it’s all of them. I know crazy to think a bad roster, with poor drafts, poor cap, bad coaching, dysfunction from owner/gm and wentz. Couldn’t be all of the above.

And of course it had nothing to do with being surrounded by crap and having a coach that didn't understand how to call an offense when the qb is indeed surrounded by crap. Carson played badly, and Howie has done a very poor job of getting him playmakers And coach didn't coach well etc, etc, etc.

Of course, but a good QB doesn't make problems 100x worse like he did.

So, have we traded Wentz yet?
