I will say this. That if Carson doesn't get traded this is the biggest ado about nothing I have ever seen.

What would be the epic end to this is that you start hearing and seeing breaking news alerts, and then you hear or see

" The Philadelphia Eagles have traded quarterback Jalen Hurts "

I would die laughing.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Me.

Howie makes the dumbest decision. Still hired by Lurie.

Are you sure you didn’t just ask miss Cleo that?

Don’t worry I’m sure when this is all said and done we will have some other dysfunctional saga come up next offseason. It’s the eagles. I said this earlier this year i could probably go back to TO and every year they’d have some sort of unrest and saga besides 2017.

Of course they are, every GM will tell you they pick up the phone.  Maybe the Seahawks want to trade Russ Wilson straight up for him ( not likely ) but you never know what the person on the other end of the phone has to say.  Also, seeing as you have them on the phone, you can talk about other players you may want to trade, draft pick swaps ??

I do not expect him to be traded, but the GM not picking up the phone to listen to every offer is bad business.  Every team calls trying to get players at the trade deadline.  Maybe the Packers called the Falcons at the trade deadline and asked about Julio Jones as a piece that could get them over the top in the playoffs.  I am sure the Atlanta GM would take the call and listen to the offer with no intention of trading him.

Rodgers for Wentz, aren’t they saying he’s on the outs with their FO ? We both take a cap hit so there’s no hard feelings

Big news guys

Tempted to let folks know how this is all going to shake out but Why?

Nothings funnier than an Eagles fan base abusing itself with more unneeded self imposed guilt than a 13 year old Rabbi candidate at B’nai Birith.

The packers FO straight up said they aren’t dealing him. I think the athletic had an article a couple days before the Stafford deal.

Damn, the Dodgers are freaking loaded. If my Braves were gonna pull off a WS, last year was the time to do it.

If wentz goes to the bears he's gonna hate it even more. If you thought Doug was inept at offense you haven't seen how bad Nagy is.

Going to give you a couple things it’s not one season

with 2017 season:91-84-1

without 2017 that decade: 78-81-1

so maybe 2017 is the biggest lightning in a bottle to have happened to the eagles that decade. Cause the rest of the decade they were a below .500 organization. Hmmm which is more of the norm: 9 years of slightly below/slight above average football or one great year?

also please inform me what franchise QB have the eagles drafted, signed and developed to become a consistent franchise QB year to year since mcnabb (if they trade wentz it’s basically admitting he isn’t a franchise QB they thought)? So a decade of searching for their next mcnabb-esque franchise QB and they have had a couple outlier mvp type one year seasons with wentz, Vick and foles and yet here we are still going to be searching for one.

I'm going to have to agree with Afan on this...the last decade certainly saw far more ups than downs. I don't think it's really fair to just eliminate their best season. Especially because they did win the Super Bowl. How many other teams would you trade the last 10 years with? Pats...and? It's been a frustrating downward spiral since the Super Bowl, no doubt, but I don't think lumping them in as an "average" team is fair either.

My thing with wentz supposedly wanting out is why? According to all these reporters that are so smart and plugged in, his problem was with Doug. Eagles fired Doug and bring in a Reich disciple clearly to keep Carson happy, and he is still unhappy? If it's about Hurts then that sounds like a him problem. Yes, it was an absolutely idiotic pick, but if that's why Carson is unhappy then why did lurie not fire Howie too?

Packers won't trade Rodgers but even if they did they just drafted a QB in the first round last year.

I shouldn't, but I find it incredible that Roseman is going to outlast Doug and Wentz in this organization.

Can we get Urlacherzzzzz if we trade Wentz to the Bears

This might not matter, but the Eagles play the Bears and Colts in 2022...

Just to point out here are all the teams the last 10 years from 2010-2020 who had more wins this decade then the eagles:

New England, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, seattle, New Orleans, Baltimore, KC, Denver, atlanta, Dallas and colts

so they had the 12th most wins that decade. that is slightly above the middle of the pack cause there were teams 1 or 2 wins away from the eagles being 16th-18th range which is right in the middle and that was with a great 2017. I don’t think it’s all that far off to say they were average for most of the decade outside of 2017. If 2017 never happened we’d have an entirely different view of the 2010-2020 eagles. We are fortunate for that season based off how the other 9 years went. All I’m saying is we completely view the eagles differently that decade of football if 2017 didn’t occur. And frankly it’s beginning to look like the other 9 years of that decade was the new norm not 2017 .

Hurts presence cannot be ignored.  If they trade Hurts away, will Wentz be happy to stay?  Granted, Hurts won't bring much back for the team.  But he is a lot easier to trade.  Drafting Hurts and who drove that decision remain the most puzzling questions.
