Feel like Rg3 was built differently. I think Seneca Wallace’s body type is actually more similar to hurts than RG3. And i don’t think they are super close. But more close than RG3 Plus i think wallace had a lot of the same pros, wallace and hurts have nearly the same 40 and cons with his accuracy and arm. I’d say tyrod but  hurts ran a 4.59 and Taylor is at 4.77. In terms of actual body type i think a young mcnabb like 2000-2002 is pretty similar however mcnabb had a way better arm and just more talent

McNabb had a way stronger arm but man did have have some struggles with accuracy at times.  RG3 just seemed to have a smaller build. He was probably a little taller.  Hurts compares well with Deshaun Watson who ran a 4.66.

The comp i like is mcnabb body when he came out of Syracuse with skill set similar to Seneca Wallace’s in the nfl

I think that's fair.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I think Vick could have been a hall of fame player if he had actually learned the game when he started out. He didn't study the game until he came to us and it was pretty much too late

Some of the best throwing mechanics next to Brady and Marino, especially for a right hander throwing a football left handed.  Super fast release, great hip shoulder turn, but couldn’t read defenses and inaccurate. An absolute cannon for an arm though.

Imagine if Vick had played in an offense like Chip Kelly's early in his career?

Hurts actually compared to Seneca Wallace who ran 4.56 where hurts ran a 4.59. Wallace was about 20 pounds less than him though. If we want accuracy geno smith was 3 pounds lighter and a inch taller also ran a 4.59

Listen, he has premier coaching at those stops - the best coaching in the country.  OU keeps punching out 1st round QBs.   Still, Jalen's arm never caught up to his legs.  His brain says "run" quickly and off he goes and has for years  That never really changed in 4 years and it was the game he played in his 4 game tryout (that was cutoff in the 2nd half every time).  His best hope is that there is some major paradigm shift away from a pocket passer in this league.  Then we have to hope that he doesn't get killed running the ball, which he will.

I hope this staff can make something out of him.  They likely have this year to do it.

That's not entirely true. His completion percentages and efficiency rating increased significantly between his first 2 years and last 2 years in college.  Again not saying he's anywhere near a polished passer but he absolutely made progress there.

Oh i didn’t say i agreed with the analysts but it’s trendy thing to compare to Wilson now that’s why Warner basically said it. I don’t think they are remotely close. If we are being honest i actually think the better comp for hurts is a better version of Seneca Wallace

@E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles and @e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! I think I just realized you weren't the same poster.

That definitely triggered childhood early 2000's nostalgia

I don’t doubt he made progress. However I do think it helps playing at Oklahoma and the big 12 as to seeing a significant jump from low 60s to 69 percent consistently. Besides the TCU quarterback that everyone crapped on during the draft with reagor that conference has been known to allow for good passing and bad pass defense. (Also his last year at bama he had 70 passing attempts or 5 attempts per game to know if that 73 percent would be consistent. I’m guessing his % wouldn’t have been as high if he was throwing more and not the backup).

Yeah that third year in Alabama is kinda hard to judge fully. Still just disagreeing with the people arguing he made no progress as a passer when the numbers show he did.

Whether or not it's enough progress or he can continue to progress is the better question. If I were a betting man I'd say no but I also think it's a lot less concrete than people are making it out to be.

That's just cruel

Other than being by all accounts an amazing teammate and leader, the best thing going for Hurts is that his work ethic and drive will ensure he gets the absolute most out of his talent and ability.

Unfortunately, I don’t see that much talent and ability.

I’m willing to give them the chance this upcoming season to see what exactly he is. I have always been of the believe his max and ceiling is likely a middle of the road starter in the NFL and that’s if you groom and coach him to his maximum ability. I don’t see him as a franchise quarterback but I’m willing to see if the Eagles can do it. I have big doubts because I don’t believe in the Eagles draft and developing.

I Think it’s hard for people to grasp how much the Eagles probably love him to take him where they did in the second round. It probably stems around the Eagles played it off they needed a cheap back up quarterback when initially selecting him. If they would’ve just come out and said we think this kid could be a franchise quarterback and we didn’t wanna miss out on one like we did with Wilson people probably would bought into him more as the starter next year. However i think it would’ve created a bigger crap storm then it did if they flat out said it

I decided I am just going to block them on alternating days to see if I can tell the difference.

So what is the morning rumors???  Foles and Picks for Wentz?

Hurts' arm is "fine". It's not good. It's not bad. It's meh.

The bigger problem is that he needs to plant to get heat on it. Top-tier QBs can throw lasers off-platform. Hurts can't.

Or with his running ability and some increased accuracy after a full offseason as starter he may just be a different kind of top-tier QB.

Wentz for the rights to Andrew Luck and a restraining order preventing Indy from calling a trick play in any meaningful game where Carson catches the football.  There will be no Indy, Indy.

I'm liking Hawking as a Boston Scott upgrade Nyhiem Hynes type of mid round pick here.

I personally like swapping Ballard, reich and the colts rosters for the wentz, the eagles roster and howie.
