Brooks is on the north side of 30, Seumalo is probably the center, Lane is becoming a ?. It wouldn't be sexy, but I'd be fine with them using both firsts to lock that line down. Don't draft projects. Fix it. Will their scouts nail both picks? That's another issue...

Offensive line, specifically interior linemen, have become much easier to draft (with success) outside of the 1st round.  There has been a wealth of talent and coaching dedicated to the position over the past decade at the collegiate and even high school levels which have produced much more capable and talented linemen.   (Similar to what has happened with RB's over the past decade)   Plus, most new era NFL schemes favor both Offensive Linemen and RB's so it's easier to have successful picks in both those categories outside of the 1st round.

Absolutely no reason to use one, let alone two 1st round picks this year on offensive linemen.   Those picks should be used for skill positions, specifically secondary and maybe WR.  Use a 2nd round or later pick  to grab either a swing tackle or interior lineman and go from there.   The only exception would be if the Eagles had say the 20th pick and a top 10 value Offensive lineman drops to them, it would be hard not to take that value there, imo.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

So what he knows for a fact is that teams have been calling about Wentz and everything else is just guess work

Isn't that the case for every franchise QB though

I'll eat crow if he ends up getting traded but this really seems like teams are calling to ask the about the price and that's it

Before the Stafford trade it was made public that the Lions and Stafford have agreed to mutually part ways and Lions would start looking for trade partners

Eagles haven't said crap and the last thing they did say was that they pretty much wanted to fix Wentz. It's true that Wentz could end up asking for the trade but Wentz also hasn't mentioned anything publicly about wanting to leave. He's also still kept his Eagles stuff on social media. All we know is he's on vacation like every other player not on Chiefs or Bucs

Lurie straight up called Wentz an asset. What else do you need?

Some people reaaally have the blinders up right now.

How does that mean trade?

No they’re just trolling at this point. Everyone knows Wentz is gone.

Some people don't even think Wentz wants out. 🥴

Referring to a player as an asset while not stating he is unequivocally returning says all we need to know.

The hate is real

Blinders? HOW?

What else do you need to hear man? Almost every reporter has reported they expect a Wentz trade this week.

It's alright man, we are literally days if not hours away from Wentz being traded. Let em' hold on to hope for a little while longer.

So in your opinion, does confirmation bias go both ways in this scenario?

No.  Because I didn't make a pronouncement about what the Tweet meant.

In that link:

"Asset” is the word that NFL front offices use to describe trade pieces, and if you’re fully committed to Carson Wentz as your starting quarterback moving forward, there is no way you’re calling him "an asset.”

And the new HC couldn't even commit to Wentz being here.  Then when he went on his media tour after his disastrous press conference the Eagles made sure the outlets that were allowed to interview him did not ask any questions about the QB situation.

So if nothing happens then what? Seriously. I'll even bring this up if he's not traded by the 12th

It will be a great day in Eagles history if we bring back our Super Bowl hero BDN in exchange for the DIVA.  Who ever could have thought carson would be such a mental midget?

Bears are actively trying to trade Foles... he must be a problem behind closed doors.   @Ace Nova

See how it works...

I’m guessing he likely is some how back next year.

If Peters is back with this team, I am taking a year off.  Ridiculous.

Nice try. You’ve followed the sport long enough to know how this business works.

Enough with the attention seeking.

Case Keenum doesn't even make sense.

I think a more comparable comp would be Dak or Kaepernick or Mayfield.

Tyrod is a pure pocket passer with limited mobility that is ultra conservative.

I would trade Hurts and a 2nd for Dak

Eagles should have a top 5 OL next year -

Mailata - Seumalo - Kelce - Brooks - Lane, Dillard, Driscoll, Herbig, draft pick

If Lane goes down, Dillard to LT, Mailata to RT

If Kelce retires, Herbig or Driscoll becomes the center and they draft two OL.

Don't need a 1st or 2nd rd pick here, just two projects for Stoutland to develop along with Toth, Opeta and whoever they sign as UDFAs.

Brooks should be back at 100%, he's got that kind of work ethic, might have been able to play if they made the playoffs.

Lane depends on ankle surgery.

They have as many as 4 ?'s going into the offseason with a lot of if's.

Along w/the right to pay Dak $35M/yr, which is the going rate for a "franchise QB" and what Dak will demand?

No thanks.  I'll roll w/Hurts for pennies and see what I've got.

It has gone too far to come back from now. Wentz has to go the franchise would be an even bigger joke if they don’t move him now.

If he is back on this team I will not watch a single game. Go somewhere else or retire

Who are you more likely to win a Super Bowl with? It’s Dak and not close. I know it’s probably not worth it since we’re about to have like $50 mil in dead cap
