I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Maybe they want Foles back because when they bring in Hurts for one play and line Foles up out wide, defenses would have to actually account for him.

I'm hoping with Doug gone, we won't see that this year. That was so stupid to take a WR off the field for a QB to line out wide. And, it opens up the QB to possibly take a hit because he doesn't have the QB protection when they are lined out wide.

If there is to be a QB battle, which there should be, Foles will win. Hurts is not the future and neither is Nick but he wouldn't be a bad stop-gap QB until Sirianni finds his guy.

To be clear I HATE this trade, just trying to find a silver lining.

Nick Foles was terrible in Jacksonville and Chicago.  This Eagles team is bad and is going to go through some pretty big turnover this season.

Nick Foles is 32 years old.  Nick Foles is not going to get better.  There is no untapped potential there.  Out offensive line is old and injury prone.  Hurts at least has his legs to make something out of nothing.  Foles does not do well at all behind a shaky offensive line.

It's not a matter of "challenging" anyone.

Why would Howie choose a HC who's calling card is working with WRs and QBs, then ignore his input when trading the starting QB and adding a new QB?

Makes zero sense. What does make sense is Howie would sit down with Siri, go over the QB options, and then decide what to do. And I wouldn't expect that to happen until Siri got a chance to do an in-depth review of film on both Wentz and Hurts.

Because they hired him to coach up whatever QBs and WRs and players they choose to roster.

Yes cause clearly the 2021 roster is going to be as talented as the 2017 and 2013 rosters. Lol

Yea it’s the dumbest play in the world. Imagine watching tape of Cutler lining out wide and standing there with his hands on his hips and saying "yea, let’s try that.”

The cap hit is the same whether we keep him or not.  It saves about 800k cap wise to trade him.

Not if Howie restructures that bonus done the third day of the season.  Convert that to signing bonus and spread it m

That will never happen since they are trying to get rid of him, not keep him around.  Haven’t you been paying attention to what’s going on?

The cap hit they are going to take on if they trade him is the initial signing bonus paid spread out over the life of his contract. This has been covered so many times. The only way the Eagles can lower the cap hit is Carson Wentz hast to write them a check and pay back his signing bonus money

But they don't want his opinion about which QBs they should trade/obtain? Sure. Howie's a crazed egomaniac isolated in his office, yelling about who took the strawberries.

Obviously they asked him his thoughts. That doesn’t mean he gets to have the final say.

If our OL is middle of the pack of worse, then Foles has no chance. That's part of the reason why he was so bad in Jax and Chi. Their OLs were below average.  Foles is a backup, but even then the OL better be good or he will struggle.  Our OL and Chicago's OL were similar near the end of the season. They both were pretty bad and injured.  Hurts has a better chance behind a mediocre OL.

Our offensive line when healthy (by the beginning of next season) should among the best in the league, imo.

They will let anyone in these days it seems like.

You're joking, right?

is this with the assumption kelce is back? I tend to think he’s retiring. And that’s a massive loss if he does. And i don’t trust lane to stay healthy anymore. Three consecutive seasons might just be his body deteriorating on him.

You know the board was better when you weren't around.  Troll!

Any chance Cody Whitehair is part of the deal?

I said that earlier. That would be nice.

Tom Brady is 43 and just made another Super Bowl. Clearly Foles is QB1 and likely the franchise QB the team has needed since he left. Now that he’s reunited with Howie he will return to form.

I'm guessing he's assuming it's the 10.6 million figure reported on the salary websites.  Or maybe he was referring to the "makes sense" part of his tweet.  Idk.

I’m all for a Bobby vs. RTK death match where both sign waivers fighting for their right to stay on the Emb. Guest referee is Reuben randle
