I know there are a lot of stupid GMs out there but I cant believe they're that stupid, oh wait, Howie is a GM right?

You missed is point by cutting off the rest of that sentence.  He didn't say they could, he said it wouldn't matter if they did because Howie sucks at drafting.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

There isn't a single GM in the league who would give 3 1sts for Wentz given his injury history and 2020 performance.

Seems you missed his point as well, see above.

Just to be clear, while you’ve defended Howie at every turn, you’re working theory now is that Doug didn’t want to put in work and Schwartz mailed it in last year?

Its ridiculous what he'll say right now.

Considering g the cap situation we will be in, why would we take anything back other than draft picks?

Because Howie sucks really, there's no other reasoning to the crap he does. So I guess we should just expect the unexpected worse case scenarios every time as long as he is in charge

Other side of the coin:  taking back guys who can play may be better than allowing Howie to make more picks

I disagree with the premise. Howie maximizing the return improves the likelihood of success. Some will argue this point, but what's more valuable: getting more picks but having an ok draft-selector or less picks with a good draft-selector. Probability says the former is important. Given the dislike of Howie, people will prefer the latter.

Howard will spin Cohen as a good get too.

Look at the staff Pederson didn't put together, and what he proposed to Lowie as his staff. What does that tell you?

Compare that with the staff that Sirianni put together in a week, with only a couple holdovers. That's a pretty blatant contrast.

Schwartz couldn't figure out how to use Douglas (started 11 games in Car) or Jones (started 6 games in JAX) but started Jacquet. Sendejo started 14 games for Cleveland. Darby was a top CB in Washington. Fort was let go last season and started 8 games for Baltimore last year and this year. Gerry started at LB until an injury forced him to use Singleton. Meanwhile he's got Maddox playing outside instead of the slot.

Lol

that was harsh sir,  I have some advice for you, if you dont mind, try sanka instead of regular coffee, it might help, do you sniff your finger, maybe you should stop

i have some advice for you as well, probably should lay off the meth. Also another bit of advice, you can use a period and start a new sentence.

I remember howard eskin giving love to Biden when Obama first picked him. At the time I knew nothing about politics. Don't know much about now either. But you can see biden is using the pen like he will die tommorow or wake up and not remember anything.

If anyone's interested and has a few extra bucks they plan on putting on the game tonight, Elon Musk has been "jokingly" promoting dogecoin.  Started off as a "joke"but it's blown up over the last several days.  The Super Bowl commercial has been circulating but some say the commercial is "fan made" so take it for what it's worth.  Some say it could hit as high as $1.  It's currently at 6 cents.

That said, I wouldn't spend any money I wasn't prepared to lose on it.  And I'm not necessarily a fan of crypto currency either.  The reason I thought this was neat is because Dogecoin was created as a way to "poke fun" at cryptocurrency back in 2013 but it's made steady gains and has blown up over the past several days.

Some folks didn't want to get in on the Game Stop stuff because it was basically pumping and overvaluing a real stock, with real businesses and people involved.  This is different, imo.  No real stock or businesses involved.  Just a few extra bucks people would have bet on the game with or played the lottery with.

I doubt Musk would let it crash right away, since he's been tweeting about it and he has enough money and "publicity power" to keep it floating BUT This is not a serious investment, imo, much too risky so I would strongly advise (if you buy it) to only use what you would normally use on the lottery, etc.  It's at 6 cents now so you don't need to spend a ton to get several coins.  Some say it could hit as high as $1....or it could crash to less than 1 cent....so spend wisely.

And now what? Kobe Bryant is your patron saint and I'm offending you by "daring to say" that 11 can play Quarterback?

Ridiculousness.

Remember all the complaints about keeping Howie over the "real" football men he supposedly forced out of the organization.

Of all those names, Banner, Riddick, Grigson, etc., the only one who has been successful elsewhere was Veach, and he was a top scout who went with Andy to KC, there's was never a hint that he was "forced out," rather, typical lateral move to work with someone who offers a better opportunity. Grigson was the only one who got a GM job, and he was fired after four years, one good draft, three subpar drafts, one good trade, one awful trade - and he has yet to be hired by another team. The rest ended up in media jobs.

The organization is so dysfunctional that Douglas had to settle for a GM job after 3 years with the Eagles. Ruined his reputation. Yet Andy Weidl stayed with the Eagles rather than follow his mentor.

So a lot of rumors about Howie may just be sour grapes by guys who were dismissed for the simple reason they weren't that good.

January 29:

Still in the process of hiring assistant coaches and getting acclimated to his new role, Sirianni said he and his staff haven't dug into the game film yet, including film on the quarterbacks.

"Every position is going to be evaluated, and every position is going to be open," he said, "and we can't wait to start watching the tape and seeing what our players can do."

I bought $115 worth a few days ago and already cashed my money out. The rest I gained I have been selling and buying and now have 6590 of doge. So now I’m up over $400 and I’m just gonna let it ride.

Yep that's the way to go imo.  Get in for a small amount, if it goes up, pull out what you invested then just have fun with the rest.

I think most of crypto is high-risk, "play money" only type of stuff.  But having a celebrity like Musk in on one will likely make it gain value by "default", imo.

It’s really spiked in the past few days so I slowed down buying and selling. I started selling when it went to high 5s thinking it would go back down and it’s steadily going up. I lost 300 coins doing that so I’m just keeping an eye on it.

Not quite because you would leave your "gains in".  For example, put in $100.  If it goes up to $300 or more, pull out the $100 you put in and keep the rest in and have fun with it.  It's the equivalent of playing with "house money".

This is really gaining momentum because of the "leaked" Super Bowl commercial that has gone viral.  Real or not it's bringing a lot of players to the table.  It will be all over twitter tonight even if the commercial doesn't "air" because people will be tweeting about the commercial asking why it didn't air, etc.  A ton of people did what you did, pulled out their original investment and now are going to let the rest "ride".... will be interesting to see how this plays out.

So all of that means Schwartz mailed it in and quit? That’s just dumb.

Sendejo was cut because he stunk here and we got a comp 4 for him. Everyone would do that deal. Besides, he started because of injuries too, not because he’s good.

Flajole didn’t like Fort.

Douglas doesn’t fit in what Schwartz wanted to run, which was mostly a cover-1 man scheme. Carolina runs mostly zone, which fit Douglas. Would you keep a zone defender as a backup for a man coverage team? Does that make sense to you?

Jones was constantly hurt, then got hurt in camp. He could not be trusted anymore. And I seriously doubt that was just a Schwartz call.

Darby did play better in Washington.
