This is pretty good report. Not the best but good. if they take a QB at 6 he’s the one i would go with. I think he has the highest ceiling of the 3 after Lawrence but also might have the lowest floor

Actually it might be their best option at QB if Wentz is traded.

There has to be a parachute for Hurts; Nick Foles is an excellent backup and only $4M against the cap — plus he doesn’t make waves.  Not saying I want it, but the rationale is there

And there is the business/marketing side of it for lurie and the eagles

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I kind of like some of the qbs in this draft. Anyone think we might take one at 6?

A Qb factory could mean so many things.

The team should have a terrible back up in order to secure a top 5 pick next season.

I’m going on the premise the Eagles aren’t actively tanking — but, yes.

If it happens I plan to be insufferable and start calling for Hurts to be benched after the first loss, which I assume would happen Week 1

The reality is that Foles has no value to the Eagles.

Not true. Competent qb at low cap #

plus good PR to try and offset howie repeatedly vomiting all over himself

My theory on Wentz struggling this year is that he is still reeling from the concussion against the Seahawks and it’s worse than we know.

If that were true that would seem like medical staff Fed up big time by allowing him to even play

More I see of anthony schwartz ,the more I like , has some Tyrik Hill in him.

He was constantly out running his QB, deep.

I don’t see Hill in him because Hill’s athleticism and agility is off the charts, but I bet Schwartz will be a much better pro than collegian. His QB failed him a bunch.

Wasn't really a heralded prospect coming into college, and at NDSU he really has 1 season + 1 game of tape.  He was impressive in 2019 but against pretty "meh" competition.

He is a pretty good athlete, maybe not as shifty, guz offense didnt show case his strengths.

Bringing Foles back would be typical of this front office with their "Run it back" mentality which is part of the reason why they're one of the most dysfunctional teams in the league right now. Not moving on from guys like Alshon, Peters, Sproles, Clement, and bringing back DeSean just because they helped you get a Super Bowl or played well for you almost 10 years ago. Foles is more injury prone than Wentz and is less talented. But sure, go ahead and bring him back because you think it makes everyone feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Under the radar backer I like , Jamin Davis.

He had to be cleared by an independent neurologist and would have to be back to a pre injury baseline in terms of testing. I’m not sure that testing pre-injury would accurately reflect all of the executive functions that would go into playing QB. So it’s possible that there’s a lasting impact that doesn’t show up via a neuropsychiatric test.

Man I did not realize Trey Lance is only 20 years old.  He's going to be really interesting to watch in the NFL.  Lots of question marks but also tons of potential.

I would draft Trey Lance ahead of both Wilson and Fields just based on upside, but his other drawback is that he runs to contact — that would need to be coached out of him.

I ultimately think it would be because Chicago throws him in to get out of his salary. I would rather the team get a 6th round pick.

If the goal is to be competitive next season, I would agree.  I don’t think that’s the goal.

That seems like a stretch.  Again a ton of potential and I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up being really good, but literally the only game he played this year was against Central Arkansas and he had threw for only 50% completion.  He's a huge gamble for a team.

I hate that word "Potential" I want guys who can flat out play in the first 3 rounds. No more projects until the later rounds please. We should have learned that lesson by now.

Fair but going too far in the other direction isn't good either when it comes to a QB.  Mac Jones for example is a pretty polished QB prospect but I don't see the ceiling as being very high.

FWIW I'm not advocating for Trey Lance at #6.  Just think he's a really interesting case this year given his age and hugely limited tape.

I would as well. I've watched Wilson a bit and I'm not a fan.

Avg QBs can win SBs with a good team and coaching around them. There has been plenty of examples of that happening. If your in the situation to land a top QB go for it. If not and only a project is avail, Ill pass and build the good overall team.

Did I miss something.  WTF is up with all the random videos?

If a qb has deadly accuracy, they can have an all pro ceiling without great athleticism or off the charts arm strength.

When was the last time an average QB won? Foles? Before that? Flacco?
