I'm a Medic. My Wife is a Nurse. We just told everyone here we are tired of this thank you for doing your job stuff. Just play football and give us some laughs with the commercials.

Yup.  As a healthcare worker who is married to a healthcare worker, our thank you is that we are lucky our lifestyle and job security have not been affected by covid.  It’s a privilege to do this job and I don’t need to hear about it constantly on tv.  That’s the escape.

It's also in some cases passed the point of sincerity. I've seen commercials where Doctors and Nurses are used in a "thank you" commercial to sell Pickup Trucks.

The best thank you would be people wearing their masks and following common sense guidance. The words ring hollow nowadays. 

I saw a "healthcare hero" bumper sticker a couple days ago and it really peeved me. Like, who announces themselves to everyone as a hero? imo not a real hero.
