Oh look....it's like the my criticism of Wentz the last 3 years is actually true.

Nah, I'm just a "hater".

Facts are also Carson Haters!

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Here's a weird question. Why would Wentz be getting offers but Watson not? I'm a big Wentz fan but I would rather have Watson at this point.

Watson has a full no trade clause. That’s why.

Forgot about that. Thanks

A few. There were some comments that were unfiltered.

It largely is.  They could have put the old story there with some addendums,  but it does highlight how dysfunctional the Eagles are tho.

Not according to Jeff Lurie.   Its the model of efficiency and team harmony.  5 future GMs in the building, all advising Howie.   Makes you wonder how they could be so wrong, so often.  Or maybe, Jeff is just wrong about one thing above all else.

There’s going to be a lot of talk about Brady v Mahomes and Brady has indeed been great.

But the truth of this game has been that the Bucs are just better than the Chiefs. By a lot.

It helps that their overall record over the last 7 years 38-74, thats a lot drafts picking early so a lot of depth. KC,  BTW 77-35. Maybe a good strategy, never draft a QB early but build the rest of your team and whenever a franchise QB becomes available be a player

Well... thing about that is... for him to get his wish, which is a trade, he's going to have to waive that for someone.  So, they better be fielding calls.

But, the price for him will likely be lower than his value, because he can limit the number of teams in the bidding, and can try to strong arm the Texans with sitting out.

Who on here does the Gameday score tally's?

Should we start one for the Carson trade?

-day it happens

-what team

-draft pick compensation

-player compensation

For instance....Wednesday, Carolina Panthers 1st round pick and Curtis Samuel

Duh, we are a nation run by white supremacy and racists so no one wants the black quarterback.

Put me down for no day and nothing. I'm going down with the ship if I have to.

Ugh... what a piece of garbage that Santologigalo article is... here's all I need to read:

Quote

And because of that, the sources still associated with the organization again requested anonymity when speaking about the team. Many also feared retribution, just as they did when first speaking to PhillyVoice for our January 2019 story.

The Eagles were contacted and asked to comment on this story, but did not offer any. At the time of publishing, Wentz and his representatives had not returned an email seeking comment.

So, anonymous sources can libel a person without any repercussions and hide behind anonymity for fear that they will be blackballed... while they blackball another player?   That's the definition of cowardice.

Could the Eagles be pulling the ultimate fake out and end up trading Hurts?

Doubt it but you never know.

Wentz would be better off with the Colts , top OL, talented D, add a couple more pieces and they are legit ,if they can fix Wentz.

I still think if theres going to be a team that overpays it’s the colts. I know the bears have pace and Nagy who are on the hot seat but i look at Indy their window to win a SB is right now. That team is basically a Qb away from being a legitimate contender. Looking around the league at the QB position they really don’t have great options. The texans aren’t going to trade watson inside the division. So he’s out. Could trade for Sam darnold. I don’t think talent wise is as good as wentz and proven less. And you also have to salvage his career from what it’s been so far. I think you’d rather go wentz with reich’s past and wentz having some success in his past at a high level. Jimmy G could be available but he’s injury prone and i don’t think the niners move on from him unless they have a QB in place. Jameis winston is a FA and i doubt he leaves New Orleans or you trust him to get you there. If you go to the draft you have to move up from 21 into the top 10 if not 5 to get the QB you like after Lawrence. With a team ready to win now not sure they overpay for a rookie QB who might need a year or two of development and your window shrinks as guys get older and every QB after Lawrence isn’t exactly thrilling.

like wentz might be their best option based off the market and if they truly believe reich can salvage and fix him going forward.

Watch out here. I am mix race and called out all the white dudes they hired in the positions and got called for race baiting on these forums. Watch yourself.

Couldn't agree more. Colts would be the best outcome for him. As you say they have a top OL, a good D and really they just need another weapon or two on offense to give their QB. The only thing I would say though is that Press Taylor is now in Indianapolis. Now whilst I am sure that appeals to Wentz I am not sure that is the way for him to turn things around. Perhaps with Reich there it would be different but I think he needs a hard QB coach and we know he isn't going to get that from Press.

Good to know.  That wasn't my prediction, just example.

Carson for Quenton Nelson straight up!

yup and wentz apologists are ignoring the most important factor of why they are trading wentz is chemistry and culture, the team doesnt want to play for him. keeping him like poor gasoline to the fire.

Dony buy that at all. This is the qb that peters called The General

Watching SB last night, a few observations:

AR is the same old HC.  Like his time with our team, he could not make game-time adjustments to turn the game around.  His team is good when they are playing with a lead or within reach.

QB is absolutely critical to win games.  Brady proves last night he was the key reason the Patriots were winning for such a long time.  The Eagles really need to address the QB position if the team wants to be force in NFL.

QB aside, a good defense is also important.  Todd Bowles when he was our DC some years back did not have the success with us.  But he had a good scheme going last night and his players delivered.  BTW, their LBs were good in coverage as well as stuffing the runs.  Something is consistently overlooked by our coaches.

Mahomes can make all kinds of throw.  But he was under waves of rushers and tremendous pressure.  Credits also to Bucs DBs to cover the WRs.  As good as Hill and Kelce are, they could not get open as they did in the season before the SB game.  We really need to strengthen our DBs to have a chance.

Just a few things i have predicted correctly in the past, that went against the grain when I said it:

1) Prior to 1999 Draft, I wanted Mcnabb over any running back including Ricky Williams, I stated QB is the most important piece of the team.

2) Mike Vick- when he was lighting it up that half a year, I stated at the time, this wont end well, he has trouble reading the defenses and even the simplest of blitzes to read the Double A gap, and would just take off (ALA Hurts, one read and go) .

3)Trading Nick Foles for Sam Bradford  - I stated at the time it was Bad trade, said you can win a SB with Nick Foles -

4) Signing Djax last year - I stated this will not end well, gets hurt too often and is only getting older

5) Resigning Alshon - Hated that at the time, again stated he gets hurt too often and is only getting older

Here are two more of my predictions:

1) Drafting Hurts in the 2nd was a complete waste of a second rd pick. Hurts will never be a franchise type QB.

2) Trading Wentz away will be the biggest mistake the Eagles have ever done in my lifetime (mid 50s). 1000x worse than trading away HOF receiver Chris Carter, or letting Reggie White walk away. This will be the largest blunder and will haunt them for a decade.

They probably lost because bienemy was calling plays

While I don't want Wentz gone I agree with you guys that the best thing for Wentz is to get out of this cluster F of an organization.

That completely contradicts what they did last year in the playoffs.   It's a nice narrative, but not completely accurate.

The Chiefs needed to help their OTs and they didn't.  But the Chiefs also dropped a lot of passes that would have, should have helped to keep them in the game.

The Bucs were running a 2-4-5 defense.  2 DTs/NTs, 4 LBs (2 rush LBs) and 2 really really good ILBs.

When playing a front like that, obviously the 'LB' position will shine much more than the DL.  Just for reference, JPP was considered a "LB", but I don't remember seeing him drop in coverage once.

4-3 teams can generally get away with lesser LBs than 3-4 teams because the entire defense of the 3-4 is designed around the LBs.  That said, I don't see this team going to a 3-4 again any time soon.
