At this point I'll believe Wentz is gone when there's an official trade. While it does seem very likely he's out, this constant rumour churn is boring.

Greenie, you hunting anything these days?

Nothing really in right now. Coyotes, crows, that' about it. I did go for coyotes the other day with a buddy but we didn't even get them to howl.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Well now that you're telling him, he's going to get a restraining order.

The seeing me naked should be punishment enough

Yes.  Which makes picking him up very likely... coming off an ACL tear.   Joy of joys, another member of the MASH unit reporting for duty.

It bothers me that I have to put 'mash' before 'hawkeye' in google to get anything even remotely related alan alda. what kind of world are we living in 🤦‍♂️?

I'd like him to just name 1 but it seems he's ignoring it

They knew they were going in with backups and yet the gameplan didn't try helping the Oline out. It was really bad all over

Again, I hope Lurie and Howie were watching as they pine for the AR days

Its all fine and dandy when they are clearly out scheming people, Mahomes running around throwing side arms (ew bad mechanics) and no look passes

But just imagine that same game playing out every other week for him.  I can guarantee you that he would start to develop the same habits we saw from Wentz, even when protection is there.

You should watch out he's probably going to cash in with an onlyfans account using your pics.

I have negative interest in Cohen.  He's a scatback coming off an ACL injury who will carry a $6.7m cap hit next year.  Then you have to pay $3.5m to cut him or an average of $6.6m over 2022&2023.

I'd sooner tell CHI to just not include him in the trade.  In fact, it might be CHI that wants to dump him in the trade.

Lotta coyotes in the city this year with mange. Poor ****. Do you eat the coyote? Or is hunting them more about population control?

I'd have to imagine this is exactly it.

His cap hit to the Eagles would only be $1.4 million because that's his base.  The other part was his signing bonus.  I would rather have a pick but I think either he or Foles are being talked about because it gives Chicago some cap relief.  I would rather the team get picks.

I'm worried... what do you get when you just type hawkeye?

Foles & Cohen are dumps.  They should increase the pick compensation we get.

In order for Wentz to fetch that first, it might be that we HAVE to take the other 2.

yeah I am not feeling Cohen, we have Boston Scott and that Huntley kid already. Cohen is coming off an injury, he needs to be paid, and he does not really fill a current positional need.

That's not true.  When acquiring him via trade, the Eagles would only be on the hook for salary or guaranteed roster bonuses.

He'd cost them $1.4M to cut in 2021.   They could be free and clear after that.

I am not trying to criticize your point because I agree, they never explicitly said they saw him as a guaranteed NFL starter.

But explain this logic...So according to the eagles Wilson was steal in the late third round? By that logic, 'steal' infers he has somehow dropped. The eagles had a late second round pick to select vinny curry; why didnt they use that on Russell if they really felt he was a 3rd round steal?

For the same reason everyone criticizes the Hurts pick, if he's not going to start immediately, and you think you're going to push for a playoff spot, then take a player who can help the next couple years, not a project who might start down the road.

The 2011 Eagles were similar to the 2019 Eagles, 8-8 but Vick got hurt and Vince Young went 1-2, they had McCoy, DeSean, Maclin, Avant, Celek, Peters - Mathis - Kelce - Watkins - Herremans, a top ten defense in points allowed. So they wanted to win now.

2012 the wheels fall off, Peters injured after 4 games, Kelce gets hurt, Herremans lasts 8 games, Watkins a flop, the OL is Dunlap - Mathis - Reynolds - Scott - Kelly. The offense was 29th in points scored. Sound familiar?

1984?   Yeah... its coming.

In trading Wentz, I would be very open to 2022 draft capital instead of 2021.  Other teams will be more willing to part with it.  There figures to be a better, more scoutable CFB season...if the draft is less of a crapshoot, it's better to have draft value then.

Not to mention, after 1 year of Hurts, we'll know if we need to maneuver for a qb or if we are drafting weapons for Hurts.

I'd be more than happy to take a 2022 1st instead of 2021 if it helps to seal the deal.

So who eats 3.5m in 2022 if they cut him?

Yes, on the surface of it if the Eagles actually had 3 teams in serious trade negotiations for Wentz, there would be no excuse not to come away with at least a 1st, a 3rd, and a good young player on a rookie contract.  Unfortunately with cap considerations involved a couple of these teams are trying to pass off bad contracts (CHI with Cohen and CAR with Bridgewater) just to make their numbers work.  The Eagles don’t have the cap room to take on these contracts but other teams might insist on the cost offset.

The best trade from the Bears would be a 1st, 3rd and Foles (No Cohen), or from the Panthers for their #8 overall pick and a 4th round pick (No Teddy).  The Colts would need to drop the idea of getting a 2nd round pick back and just settle on #20 overall, Okereke, and a future 2nd round pick (2022)

Nobody. If the Bears cut him in 2022 they would eat $3.5M in dead money.
