What?  Denver?  If he lives in Colorado Springs maybe.

Being closer to North Dakota was my only thought there.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I agree that as this drags on, it doesn’t bode well.  There is no way they can spin this... if they end up dumping Wentz for a marginal return, how does the owner show his face again?  It’s a laughing stock.  Do they think they are going to pout their way into a better return?  Now that the leaks and fake stories have not worked?

https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/02/09/report-eagles-dont-feel-theyve-received-a-fair-offer-for-carson-wentz/

Maybe time to ramp up th fake stories?  "Mysterious third team offers two 1sts, still not enough...”

No one is buying the BS anymore.

4d chess - Wentz sits out the year to give us the cap relief we need then comes back.

It's not about who's available....it's about what Howie has done for this team as of late and not being held accountable one single bit.  You can't fix the problem if you don't get rid of the problem.

While I no longer want Howie, the premise that you can only fix a problem by discarding it is flawed because it relies on the problem being localized in a vacuum which is rarely the case.

What would you rather have?

-blockbuster for Carson where some team pays 2 1st round picks and a player

-or-

-Howie is fired tomorrow and Carson remains on the team

Option B. Any option that Howie getting fired is where I start.

I agree.  I think he is missing his roots.

You can’t win with a QB who ranks in the mid-30’s (even though there are only 32 teams). Everyone watched Wentz the last few seasons, right? He hasn’t been mediocre. He’s been extraordinarily bad.

Meanwhile, Green Bay won for years with arguably the league’s worst front office.

Last season he was bad. Last few? Nope

So let me get this straight

Right now he lives in the middle of no where and drives an hour-90 minutes into a major city to work

But you think he'd  be better of living an hour or 2 in the middle of no where to drive into a major city to work

LOL.

Ok

So what you are saying as long as one is 90 minutes from a major city the culture and ideology is the same anywhere?  90 minutes from NYC is the same as 90 minutes from Chicago or Minneapolis, or Denver, or Indianapolis.....?

Pretty sure there are Christian fundamentalists in Philly. Along with private schools so..................nice  try to make us look like weirdos.

Trust me, to them we are weirdos.

Digital viewing was way up

On the digital curve, Super Bowl LV was the most live-streamed in history, averaging 5.7 million viewers per minute – which is up 69% from 2020’s pervious high

This is going to be a problem for all sports, the younger demographic have grown up with far more media options and aren't as tied into "major events."

The sports advertising gravy train is about to slow down.

It's laughable to think that Christian churches and family first mentality doesn't exist outside or near philly. Or that Christian teachings are better outside 1 city over another.

This has NOTHING and I repeat NOTHING to do with why Wentz wants out.

The funnier part is the reason he wants out is in bold print and people are still making up stupid bullsh!t like "he cant be a true Christian here"  GTFO

Where my in-laws live they are the majority and don't feel challenged on a daily basis. Western Michigan is totally different than South Jersey, same with the more rural parts of Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, etc. Now urban areas are trending more liberal, even Grand Rapids is no longer a conservative bastion. But get outside of those areas, and college towns like South Bend, and the culture is very different.

I don't think it's the reason, just one factor why he might push for a trade.

But I doubt Howie is the reason he wants to leave town, I mean Howie retained Jeffrey and Ertz (his primary targets), add Goedert, Sanders, DeSean, Reagor and added Brooks, Dillard and Driscoll to his OL. If he's upset about Hurts, well, he had been injured three straight seasons - would he have been happier with Dalton looking over his shoulder? Howie was going to bring in someone to back him up.

So let me understand your thinking here.

You want to ignore 2017, 2018, 2019 but only count 2020.

2020 where doug said his entire staff would be back and then eveyrone was fired the next day? 2020 when the Eagles were the only team in the NFL with out a offensive coordinator.

Sure man. Wentz is the issue. and when he shoves it up the ass of the majority, uneducated asses of this fan base(people like you) I'll be laughing.

Think about this... Nagy, Reich, Mcdaniels, Lazor, Shumur, Shannahon etc etc have been on the record, or reported that they can fix wentz and theyd love to try to fix wentz, but hoagie mouth philly fans want him out.

This is like telling Warren Buffett, Elon Masks and Jeff Bezos that they dont know what there talking about money wise and you're going to do it your way

You need to Shutup now

Julio Jones’ sideline grab will be forgotten because Dan Quinn wouldn’t run the ball forward 3x.

Would’ve went down as one of the clutch-est plays in history.

I'm a Christian Fundamentalist for the most part and I don't view you as a weirdo. That said we are everywhere so your theory is probably not correct.

I missed something.  So, what's Wentz's beef with Howie?  Howie signed him to an enormous contract.  Is Wentz throwing a hissy fit because Jalen Hurts played last year and maybe Howie wanted him to play?

I'm agnostic , I can live anywhere and be happy , you make your own happiness.

Yup that's it, hissy fit. It's the only thing that makes sense, amirite?

Howie has presided over two successful reloads and a SB, now what available GM has as good of a track record.

Grigson for example, raised Indy from the depths (2-14) then flatlined and they stayed in 8-8 limbo his last two seasons.

The grass is always greener.

Doug won a Super Bowl and was fired.  What's the justification for keeping Roseman for the same failures? He's also more often being mentioned as a culture problem by both ex-players and coaching staff. At some point, the team is better served by moving on from him.  He's had success but so have other GMs.  He doesn't have some unique skill set that is irreplaceable.

Which is why I'm so paranoid

It's a different world, especially a few decades ago, "what do you mean, I can't have a beer on Sunday?"

I mean, the optics on this are not great and other than "I'm not happy with the direction of this franchise" I can't imagine why he would be unhappy.  If he is indeed unhappy with the direction of the franchise, why is he only mad at Howie?
