I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

In fairness the guy saw his shot and took it. Brady (who I thought was done) Gronk, Brown, Fournette (who I would have loved to have) added what was needed to push them over the top.

Lightening in a bottle for team that hadn't sniffed the playoffs for over a decade?  Partial list of their FAs: Godwin, Barrett, Suh, David, Gronk, Fournette, A. Brown,

Yep.  Heard that.   That’s dirty.  First a Shero and now Hextall.  He should have never been fired in Philly.  Blame them.

True but it was a bad hill to die on not wanting to fire hakstol. I believe that’s the reason why they fired him. I didn’t understand why when they fired Hextall they didn’t fire both of them together

Divided locker rooms are always a great thing to have

Suh, fournette  will be gone, rest of list will be back.

In fairness Jameis Winston cost them at least 2-3 games his last year. They were 7-9 because they didn’t have a good quarterback. They had that talent around the quarterback at a lot of positions to be at least a nine win team if Jameis Winston would’ve cut his interceptions from 30 to just 20

His turnovers cost team almost 6.5 points per game, cant win like that.

Shame too ,because he has talent

That's funny I get a sense that 97.5 is full of crap

Who gives a F.  Half of the locker room will be gone in a year or two anyway.  Jeff McLane is a ish stirrer plain and simple.  Grown men paid millions to play a game.  Play the f-ing game and work together to win games.  Regardless.

I was gonna say the same thing. Most of those young guys aren’t going to be here in two years anyways. Which young players do the Eagles have that are going to be there in 2023 when the rebuild is done? Mailata, sanders (maybe), goedert (maybe if they feel like the price is right), reagor and everyone else is not a lock. And as for the older guys how many of them are going to be here in two years. Graham, Cox, Lane, kelce slay, mcleod and Brooks by 2023 might not even be here

Ummm more like half the fan base is ready to walk away from the team if Howie botches another draft.

It sucks but if Randall Cunningham can be a Cowboy I guess Hextall can be a Penguin....Nope, this sucks.

Considering that he was a rookie and Wentz was in his fifth year it would be stupifying if Wentz wasn’t better. More to the point, Wentz was getting worse and Hurts was getting better.

If both were at the top of their game there’s no doubt Wentz would be better. To me it’s a simple question: will Wentz get better here?

My expectation is that he will not. It is an indictment of the Eagles that it has come to this, a series of disastrously wrong moves, with ample blame to be shared. Should Howie be fired? Probably, unless he has a great off-season. Will he be? I don’t know.

This portion is just not correct; Hurts was steadily getting worse over his 4-game audition.  The more film the opponent got on him, the worse he got.  He didn’t even look passable as a starting QB vs DAL or WFT.

To answer the simple question:  get the OL healthy, dump Alshon and D-Jax, go forward with a game plan where Wentz throws 30-34 times instead of 38-46 times and yes, Wentz will be demonstrably better

Ron Hextall absolutely needed to be fired.

He did his job by acquiring cap space, acquiring picks and developing young players, but he had no idea how to build a coaching staff or identify free agents.

Hextall made vomit-inducing trades as well

Hextall is probably still here if he fired Dave hakstol. That’s really what his firing came down to. He didn’t wanna do it and the Flyers were like we wanna do it and we want to bring up young players and he didn’t think they were ready

Yep, there are other quarterbacks on the market.  Howie is going to F this up.

Sure maybe, but there's really very little chance Matt Ryan is moving anywhere. As others have pointed out his dead cap hit is as close to a deal breaker as you can get.

I think what happened with Wentz is that he thought the Hurts thing was all Doug and what Doug wanted.  This fractored that relationship.  Then after Doug got fired for wanting to promote one of Carson's guy in Press Taylor,  my guess is Doug and Wentz have talked after everything and Doug spilled the beans that it was Howie indeed pushing for Hurts and not Doug. Howie has also had a run in before the season with one of Wentz best friends on the field in front of everyone with Ertz.

I am not even looking at Howies terrible GM decisions I am thinking Wentz doesn't trust the person that his Howie Roseman just like everyone else who has left the Eagles.

Media spun it has Doug versus Wentz but so far with all the new information coming out it seems it was Doug and Wentz vs Howie but at the time Doug and Wentz didn't know they were on the same side.

A lot of speculation and conjecture but you guys will be glad to hear whenever Lurie gets wind of all of this he’ll fire Howie. Figures, the last to know

Trading Wentz and not getting adequate return would be how to F this up

The Bucs were exceptionally lucky to win the SB.  That's not to take too much away from them; they deserved it.  It always takes luck to win the SB.  As 31 other teams study the Bucs path to the title, it's important to separate a future model from luck.  And any time an 11 win wild card team wins it all, there's a lot of luck involved.

1. Wild card team in a year where there was no true HFA, so playoff parity was increased.

2. The NFC opponents: Opened up by playing the worst playoff team in NFL history.  Then outdueled a Saints team that just had nothing left in the tank.  The Packers were a nice win.

3.  The LT's.  Their last 2 wins came against teams missing their LT's...

4.  The SB.  I do not think it is possible to overstate the impact of what happened with AR's son in the days leading up to the SB.  AR is the brain behind that machine.  His son may go to jail for a very, very long time.  The Bucs have a good defense.  They do not have a great one.  They were 18th in the NFL against the pass.  For the best offense in NFL history to not score a single TD in the game...there was more in play here than "defense wins championships" and "we need to find our own JPP stud pass rusher."

I'm not in the mood to argue with Beast, so I'm not trying to argue the Bucs didn't deserve this.  I'm only arguing that this Bucs team is not a blueprint for how to win a SB.

Any of you getting paid for your posts in here?

Oh I know, not saying Matt Ryan but you have Carr, Darnold, Watson just off the top of my head.  Maybe Tua.  If Howie wants 2 firsts for Carson why wouldn't a team just try to sign Dak Prescott, assuming he's tagged.  They can then just give 2 firsts for him or negotiate a deal with Dallas.

Carson Wentz isn't the only QB.

That's what I was implying.  Maybe that's what we need to happen.  Maybe Howie does F it up.  How does Lurie defend that?
