Rumors all over the place. Just this afternoon the rumor from some is Bears aren’t interested and the leaked report about the Bears trade was to get the Colts to up their offer. Who the hell knows at this point. I’m guessing Howie is asking for too much and everyone’s calling his bluff. It’s probably going to come down to trading him for pennies on the dollar or just bringing him back.

I don’t see howie admitting he was wrong in Wentz, or in the alternative that he ruined Wentz by surrounding him with garbage. I think he stays.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Guys the only less realistic thing than getting 2 first round picks plus, is a team giving up good young talent on their rookie deals.  Get real.

Yep. Anyone who thinks they will or should get two firsts for Wentz is completely clueless. If they get one first under the circumstances it's a good trade. If they are able to get anything in addition to a first it's just icing on the cake. The Wentz truthers simply don't deal in reality when it comes to him.

The Eagles are $60M over the salary cap; there isn’t any way to bring back players on a second contract of any type.  The only assets Howie should even consider are 1st-3rd round picks and players on rookie scale salary.  That’s very real.  Teams need QBs — also very real.  Howie doesn’t need to trade Wentz.  More real.

Didn't realize Curtis Samuel was a free agent. I'd really try to get him in here. Versatile offensive weapon.

How? What cap?

There is no way that Carson can be on this team after this offseason right?  I mean like no way?   No way Howie can't trade him even if he over played his hand and the deals are getting worse he can't have Carson and that would kill the locker room and ruin the new coaching staff.

Do you think he's the first player in history that has been tried to be traded but didn't? If he stays I expect him to show up and do his job.

No one has been able to answer a simple question, how can Watson put up those gaudy stats and yet Houston has a mediocre offense the last three years.

I mean the goal is team scoring, not individual stats, Balt for example had 55 offensive TDs with one pro bowl player (FB Ricard) on offense.

Lamar Jackson, Edwards and Dobbins at RB,  Marquise Brown, Snead & Boykin at WR,  Andrews at TE.

What is interesting is that Jackson had a QBR of 73.7 (7) to Watson's 70.5 (12) - maybe it's a better measure than QB rating.

Nor does OL explain this, final PFF rankings, Baltimore 16, Eagles 19, Houston 23.

I'm going with the rest of the team sucks

Now look at their 1st 5 years since this includes Wentz rookie season but not Staffords. I’ve said it all along Wentz=Stafford at year 5, Wentz just turns it over a lot less.

Staffordzzzzz > Wentzzzzzzzz. Seriously though there's reason enough to keep Wentz and fix him.

not real good especially considering we're in the 'quarantine era"

Didn't see this news yesterday but Marty Schottenheimer died.  I always liked him as a coach and he seemed like a genuinely good man.  Always enjoyed the NFL Films segment they did on him talking about "there's a gleam gentleman."

You missed the ish storm from the Washington Post obituary. Their headline was "Marty Schottenheimer, NFL coach whos teams wilted in the playoffs, dead at 77."

Absolutely classless.
