I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I don't see the need to trade Goedert but if they could a 2nd and 4th for him that would be worth it.

Goedert can be your traditional TE while Pitts is just a receiving weapon who can line up anywhere.

The argument for trading DG is based around the fact that he's due to get paid next year as well as the fact that he's a level above Hayden Hurst who the Ravens traded for a 2nd and 5th during the draft last year.

With the cap mess the Eagles are in and the holes all over the roster I don't think it's going to be wise to invest $50-$60 million in to a tight end.  The Eagles have shown they suck at drafting corners but have had success at tight ends.  I would much rather see them spend money at CB in FA and draft tight ends.

Even if the Eagles don't draft Pitts and go for a 2nd tier tight end in round 3-4 I think DG should be traded.

Definitely going to be a kicker cause we need a cheap backup kicker to Elliott.

Got me

Carson news has cooled off so much it’s back to Pitts.

Why has everyone given up on string bean smith?

If you draft Pitts, he's not a replacement for Goedert, they play different positions with different skill sets.

Pitts replaces Ertz.

Yes Google exist. Anyone care to give their take or list of eagles safeties who were decent or above average before the 2000's.

Speaking of chaos.  Can you imagine the chaos and crying from some in here if Wentz comes back next year.  Oh man.  That would be gold.

I would love it. But honestly it's mostly people outside of the blog that would cry about it. It would spill in here some though.

And he's an upgrade over Ertz in terms of a receiver.  I don't think he's works as a blocker and would be hesitant to put him in a traditional TE role like Ertz has played.  Goedert, however, excels as a blocker.

Chase, Pitts, Waddle, Smith in that order.

Wes Hopkins and Andre Waters were both very good.  Waters was maybe not the kind of coverage player that would work but he was an intimidator over the middle of the field.  Rich Miano had his moments replacing Hopkins and Zordich had a view solid seasons.

Mike Zordich and Greg Jackson were competent as well.

Was not a Rich Miano fan.

And somehow there’s a fluke 8-8 season that somehow is good enough to get in the playoffs.

Actually I think there’s 17 games now. 8-9

Elliott kicks a couple 50+yd bombs 1st half of opening day then misses 2-3 2nd half FGs.  From then on he is hit/miss with FGs and XPs from all distances until the new younger cheaper PK replaces him and kicks 2-3 1st half FGs in each of his first 3 games, but misses every 2nd half kick as well then in his 4th game misses all his kicks and gets replaced by the punter who stinks the joint up.

Thanks.  Wanting to do a deep dive tape study and learn as much as possible.

Miano was underrated because he replaced Hopkins but he was a good player.  My biggest disappointment is that Ben Smith got injured in his 2nd season.  I think he would have transitioned well to safety and been a dominant player.  He wasn't ever the same after he got hurt unfortunately.

Wes Hopkins, Andre Waters, Randy Logan, Brenard Wilson, Zordich was OK, and of course Dawkins.  That take you back into the 80s

Those were some fun times

Better yet was the wife/mistress fight in the stands when Hopkins had his wife and mistress both at the same game at the Vet.

WARNING...those used to Nate Gerry, Duke Riley and the piss poor linebackers are in for a clinic by Seth Joyner on how to play the position.

Bill Bradley in the early 70s was a good safety as well.
