The Eagles have run through 3 different HCs since 2013... Lurie is not the solution... because he sticks to Howie too much.

Since 2018, the Eagles have regressed into a dumpster fire that has no cap room, no young talent, and is being forced to dump the QB they moved up to grab, and literally just gave a huge extension to, because the GM hasn't put good players around him and the coaches haven't held him accountable.   A little too much 'open heart' and not enough 'kick in pants'.

They’ve been 20th in win percentage since 2018 and made the playoffs one time cause they played in the worst division in football two consecutive years. Which isn’t likely going to get better over next year and likely fall. And there’s likely a chance 2022 doesn’t help either. And yes I’d argue the eagles were in a better position after chip left then now. The eagles had ertz, jenkins, lane, hicks, Graham and kelce. Peters was also still playing at a relatively high level even if he was exiting his prime. So they had imo better talent entering or in their primes and not 60 mil over the cap with more guys at the end of their prime years and a lack of young talent

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Eagles played a 4-1-6 that game.

So what position was Seth Joyner playing?

MLB.  He was the '1'.   And if you watched the game, he was everywhere...

That's what I was implying with my post which is why I was confused.

Les is much better speaking that he is tweeting and such.  He seems to get too political when he's tweeting but I do like to listen to him.  I miss DNL and PST when they would have Les, Berman and those guys on talking about the Eagles.

What an absolute horrible decision by Comcast to get rid of that show.

They prefer Missanelli and his bubble-headed sidekicks talking about pee spots on Tony Romo's khakis,
That's entertainment.

Not sure why mentioning that there was only 1 LB on the field confused you.

I really hope we aren't seeing the NFL turn in to the NBA.

Talk about cherry picking, they weren't as good after going all in, winning the SB and then getting to the 2nd rd of the playoffs the following season, despite a wave of injuries. So the day of reckoning arrived? Surprise, surprise.

Every move made to win the SB and try to return will be erased in two years, meanwhile the trophy will be here forever.

I sure hope not as I find the NBA to be unwatchable.

Problem for Wilson is whether he can succeed in a conventional offense as a pocket QB. And if he has to scramble to make big plays, why would I invest big resources into his OL?

None of the implied excuses here exonerates Howie's dismal performance with respect to the draft.

All the media talking heads keep saying "you can't bring back Wentz at this point, it's way past that." What if this is the agreement they made?

Still no word on Carson he publicly wants out, so they probably privately talked. Is it that crazy that they said "look we'll try to move you but it has to make sense for us too"? I think both parties have to know coming back is still on the table. What other reason would Carson be taking phone calls from Sirianni and more importantly Steichen if he's guaranteed to be gone?

Surprise surprise i told you i look recently at a 3 year timeline. Considering the fact an eternity of time in the nfl is 3 years. I go back four years he Jaguars were also a good franchise and literally a 4th quarter away from the super bowl. Since been the worse franchise in the league.

it wouldn’t have gotten this bad if you drafted well, didn’t make bad trades or waste cap space on declining or on the wrong players. But sure let’s just excuse it cause they were trying to win a super bowl not as if other teams weren’t trying to do that. lol congrats the two teams from 4 years ago that had the biggest drop off eagles and jags.

But it wasn't dismal, mediocre since 2016 yes, but also 10 picks in two years and only 1st rd pick does make your drafting look worse.

Eagles may have 10+ starters next year out of his drafts from 2016-2020:

Hurts/Wentz at QB, Sanders RB, Reagor WR, Goedert TE, Dillard, Mailata, Seumalo, maybe Driscoll OL,

Barnett, maybe Sweat at DE, maybe Bradley/Taylor at WLB, maybe Mills, Wallace DB

Draft picks possibly starting for other teams next year:  [Wentz], Vaitai, Jones, Douglas

Mediocre is grounds for dismissal.

Howie traded away picks to get to 10 picks in two years.

Having 10+ starters on a 4-11-1 team is not exactly a ringing endorsement. Someone has to start after all.

I knew I was going to get a list.

But it is nice to see this crap happening to someone else

It's also just what a former player "believes".  That's all it takes for the media. They will take Brandon Marshall's opinion and turn it in to Russell Wilson wants out!  Wilson doesn't have to say he wants out at all.  He can keep his mouth shut but the media knows it's true!  They are going to take it and run with it.  Sounds familiar.
