Phil Simms says a source he trust says Carson prefers to play in Indianapolis. I know I know Not a worthy source blah blah blah. TIFWIW

he can play there but the colts and carson have to make it worth it to the eagles to move on.  i want my team to get a fair deal to move on and if not carson can sulk or man up and play better.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Click bait. Oh my gosh another reporter says he wants out!!!!

At this point it is every reporter essentially regurgitation the same stuff and basically just saying "yep what he said".

Tim McManus just repeating things already said for a month now, oh my gosh!

Of course, there's nothing really new to find out, Wentz wants out, Eagles are happy to oblige him, Indy wants him cheap, but the Eagles won't give him away.

So Howie will play the waiting game, as long as Indy tries to lowball him, no go, and if someone makes a much better offer, well, too bad Wentz, you want to pick your destination, revoke your contract.

Yeah I mean... I'm not even sure what he's said adds anything. He's just saying what we have heard... A lot.

No no no. Carson NEVER SAID HE WANTS TO LEAVE.

It should tell you something even he doesn't think it's worthy enough to actually write a story or report on it, instead its just a talk radio piece.

I’ve always said two things about this. I never said he wasn’t unhappy and he didn’t one out. What I’ve been saying is a) Whether he said he wanted to stay people wouldn’t believe him and give him crap. And he said he wanted to go people would give him crap. So either way he went with it he was going to get crapped on. So there’s really no point in talking because either way it’s a lose situation. So if I were in his shoes I want to say anything either because I don’t give a flying F what any of the fence think I’m gonna do what I wanna do because I’m gonna get crapped on either way.

B) him not welcoming sirianni does nothing for me because I went and checked on Twitter literally Lane Johnson and Alex Singleton we’re the only two players that welcome him on Twitter. So we’re not gonna hold any of the other leaders on this team or players on this team to the same standard of accountability for welcoming the new coach even if they were going to be here. And I’m guaranteeing you there’s other players on this team that are not happy right now which brings me to my next point. Kind of feels like maybe there’s a bigger fracture in the locker room with the front office for firing doug. Maybe there’s a lot of players in that locker room that are upset at the Eagles front office for firing doug and they didn’t feel he deserves to be fired and that’s why no one really welcomed Nick Sirianni on Twitter. If we’re going to just jump to conclusions

Absolutely! This is just every reporter trying to get in on the act now. It's tiresome and the sooner this is over, one way or the other, the better.

So there's a couple of things here. Look I agree if Wentz had spoken out then some would have still said he wants out. He doesn't owe it to us as fans to speak. But I do think speaking out would have quietened things but only if he wanted to stay. If he wants out then saying that publicly doesn't help anyone. And that's why I think his silence does show that he wants out. I also don't blame him for wanting out.

On the Sirianni stuff. Again I agree hardly any player or leader has welcomed the new HC. For that reason we can't kill Wentz alone. I do think more generally though that it is a little worrying that barely any player has spoken out.

I mean there's just obviously a difference between checking out of the city the way Tim describes it and getting away mentally during the offseason.

I disagree if he said he wanted to stay people would’ve called him on it and not believed him. That’s exactly what would’ve happened. Ben Simmons never said he wanted to leave philly for LA and philly fans got riled up like he was going to leave so we should turn on him and trade him now before he wants out. That was a full year thing before he signed his extension. If he said he wanted out publicly people would’ve done the same thing calling him out and crapping on him. It’s why if i were in his shoes I’d treat the fans and media like mushrooms. Keep them in the dark and fed them crap when i had too. I don’t blame him either for wanting out  this organization regardless of how anyone spins it has been a dysfunctional event after dysfunctional event for a decade outside of 1 or 2 years and he didn’t help matters playing like crap

yeah i think it’s super concerning that there’s next to no players who welcomed him. I think there’s more players upset at the organization then people know about and i think it stems from the eagles believe doug was done dirty then it being personal to sirianni.

Tim’s describing how another anonymous guy he’s spoken to is describing how they think Wentz feels.  No meat on that bone

Some would have yes but I think it would have quietened things and I think more fans would have gotten on side. I think his silence tells us he wants out but the truth is we don't know. We are speculating because he's not said a word. But hey we can go back and forth on that bud. At this point who knows.

Idk I’ve seen a good amount of the fan base on Twitter, Facebook and IG that already made up their mind that he was gone. I don’t think you were changing how those people felt cause I’m guessing a lot of them wanted foles or they didn’t get mvp wentz for 2 seasons prior and were done with him.

Some yes absolutely. But I think others have been turned by these events, by the fact that he's not spoken out at all. And ultimately these reports are based off of fan demand and thirst for answers.

Which would be an entitled sports fan thinking he owes them anything. He doesn’t owe them anything. Which was always my point if he didn’t or did want to be here. Entitled sports fan also believes they can tweet whatever they want and feel towards athletes no repercussions. That’s the problem with social media age. Fans think they are entitled to everything

For Wentz?

The Bears are the Eagles with a better defense  at this point.

And maybe worst at drafting offense. Since 2015 the Bears have spent only 2 first rounds on offence. The 2 players are Kevin White and Trubisky 🙂 Granted they have not had a first round pick last 2 years. I guess coz of Mack.

I think this "Wentz doesn’t want to be here” stuff is being beaten into the ground too much.

As has been said in here numerous times, we can deduce based on what Sirianni said in his PC that "I can’t answer that” when asked if Wentz will be here in 2021.  Howie and Lurie have said they want him back, they interviewed coaches and said in interviews they want to fix Wentz.  The Eagles stance is clear — unless you believe it’s all fabricated for the sake of posturing.  Wentz has remained silent; he has not said publicly he wants to leave.  More of you guys (and the Philly media) should take that at face value.

Howie taking offers on Wentz clearly says (at least to me) that Wentz has asked the organization to explore the option of moving him somewhere he can be the unquestioned starter.  Howie and Lurie have apparently granted that request — but I would guarantee the Eagles made him no guarantees on moving him if it doesn’t make sense for the Eagles.  If there is no viable trade to be had, then Wentz will be with the Eagles — and he’ll be as happy as anyone who’s been given $34M to be here.

People should give Wentz a lot more credit for being a professional, not complaining, and waiting for an outcome.  It’s a lot more than I can say for many others.

Their 1st and Montgomery for Wentz. I'd do it. My next sentence would be, "you can have Wentz's favorite target, the player that stabilizes him in an offense and who was key to the SB Flip experienced in Philly, Zack Ertz, for your 3rd. Wentz and Ertz bring you immediate and years of core offense and there is no way you can get that with your 1 and 3 this year"

Fun to play GM 😀

that’s a much better fit for us than Cohen.
