Read an article on SB Nation that the Colts are looking for a 2 year "filler" than a "full on marriage"

The Colts' plan of just changing QBs every year to lose in the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs is...something.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

It's easy to say that now but fans would have revolted if the Eagles decided to rebuild the year after winning the Super Bowl.  It's unheard of.

The problem with running it back in 2018 was we had no idea what Carson Wentz was going to be.  They still had Nick Foles but we all know that Nick Foles can look like Tom Brady one week and Bobby Hoying the next.  That's reason 1 why you have to be hesitant in running it back.  There were still big questions at quarterback.

Reason 2 is every move Howie made struck gold.  He wasn't going to get Patrick Robinson again.  He wasn't going to bring in guys like Blount and Ajayi.

Reason 3 was the O-Line.  Big V was a huge reason for the success in the playoffs.  He was gone so we were back to depending on aging, declining and often injured JP.

Then you had the before it was cool to say during Covid "New Normal" they preached.  The minute you hear that you roll your eyes just like the Gold Standard and Dream Team.

It was not a run it back team.  It was a team that captured lightning in a bottle.

There are plenty of us level headed fans who would have been completely fine if they admitted to what they were and were ready to tear it apart.

traded back twice and netted Minn's second rounder next year. Challenge at WR is Bateman might be the only option top of the second and then WR falls off a cliff.

If I'm trading back I want a pick in 2021 as well.  I think a QB hungry team would give up a 2021 2nd and conditional 2022 pick.  I wouldn't be happy at all if it just netted a pick next year.

Their board also has Rondale Moore as an interesting 2nd round option at WR.  I believe they have him ranked around #54 overall.  He’s likely suited to the slot and rather similar to Reagor, though IMO

The best part of their SIM is they have Tamorrion Terry and Paris Ford at around 200 on their board.  Those guys would be cheat codes as Round 7 picks — I have to believe they’ll actually get drafted much higher.

Can't keep 'em all, other teams get to raid your waiver cuts and PS. Remember Villaneuva? Now a six year starter for the Steelers and made the pro bowl twice.

Fortunately Howie never exposed Mailata.

Villaneuva is one reason I want to see Toth this year after an offseason adding strength.

We didn’t have to cut him. It would have been a procedural move to cut Curry and sign him back, just like we did with LeBlanc. Bad process.

No. She's never been nude. She was born fully clothed.

They could have made better moves, but in the end the injuries would still have killed them, Wentz going down in the Seattle game, the OL imploding in 2020.

And Schwartz was limited, he never built a defense that could overcome flaws on the offensive side of the ball, his system really required a top notch offense to be effective - it worked better with a lead, but could be carved up by a patient veteran QB.

That’s the whole point, and ultimately who is responsible for that?

If I was an owner I wouldn't be giving out long term deals.  QBs these days are too quick to change their mind.  One day they're happy with a new contract then a year later they want out.

Makes me doubt that Dak and Jerry reach a long term contract agreement.

Well, with Dak reportedly asking for 40M+, maybe people finally shut up about the "albatros" contract Wentz supposedly has.

If a team trades for Wentz, they pay him 25M a year, which seems pretty fair.

Dak is a good QB but I wouldn't give him more than 2 years.  NFL should do away with the franchise tag as well.

If it was a picture of only Riley Cooper, and he autographed it for you — that could come off as ‘tone deaf’ ..... otherwise, it seems fine.

Thanks - that was sort of my assessment too but I needed a 2nd. Still I think I will find a more appropriate picture or object to slide in there. With a Foles photo over 1 Wentz it won't be so obvious.

Zero chance.

Interestingly enough, I do some mocks on there where I keep trading back right out of the first round and make the first selection with our #37 pick, but have about 6 picks between #37 and #99, as well as 2 additional early picks for the 2022 draft.  In some ways it does a better job of filling a few immediate and long term needs

yeah ive done that a few times. you lose the 5th year, but it would also provide some needed cap relief. seems low probability...but not impossible.

If he has a 2019 kinda year it is a steal

Urban Myer has put a very underwhelming staff together . It's like he put no thought into it.
