I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

If my memory serves me right, Saban left for Alabama. I don't think he was fired

You are correct (still have the wiki open). He left for Alabama - partly because it was a great job opportunity - partly because he was destroying his legacy in Miami. I think if he was having the success in Miami that Carroll is having in Seattle then he might not leave. But because Miami was such a disaster it probably wouldn't have been long before he was fired anyway.

Actually, I posted a pic of my wife because downunder asked me to - I really didn't think that through - Jwil2420 decided everyone should.

Of course you’d say something oldtimey lol. No pics for you...

Agreed. He didn't look like a guy who loved coaching when he was in Miami. He looked miserable. He seems to enjoy the recruiting process along with coaching younger guys and having the final say. He's a GOAT. I'm a big fan of his

Are you assuming that Kelce is retiring and Seumalo is moving to center?  I'm actually surprised Kelce hasn't retired yet, but it's probably best that we pretend he will.

I’m certainly leaning that way.

If he's happy now with Alabama, I'd hate to remember what he was like in Miami.  I wouldn't be surprised if he ripped his players after they won the national championship by 50 this year.  I respect him as a coach obviously, but he's proven time and time again that he's a world class a-hole.

Meyer will be out of the league after 2 years

I'm really curious what Jags and Jets will look like

Jets have no patience so that coach will need to turn around the team quickly

How long did Saban last in Miami? Looked it up - 2 years - so I'll put the over / under on Meyer at 2.5

Big reason Saban bolted is because they never got the QB figured out.

Meyer will have Trevor but still his health will likely pop up again so I think he has a 4-5 year run in him before retiring.

This past National Championship was the happiest and most mellow I've ever seen him. Saban is a perfectionist

Is he really that great of a coach? I kind of think it's like what Mikey said in Swingers about hot women in LA, "The hottest one percent from around the world migrate to this gene pool".

If the top 1% of players go to your program and you have 3rd string players who could start for other SEC schools...

Rumors were he badly wanted Drew Brees that next year in Miami, but the Dolphins wouldn't take a chance on him because of his shoulder.  Imagine if they did.... how that rewrites history for the Dolphins, Saints, and especially Alabama and the entire landscape of college football.

Watson would help otherwise Jets should take Wilson. They have so many holes everywhere they're probably 2 years away from competing for the division

Jets would be no better with Wilson. He’d be Darnold 2.0.

Watson is their best hope.

Yea no doubt. If Brees never went to the Saints I don't think I would hate them as much. Losing to the Saints every year is frustrating as f. Just like losing to the Seahawks every year

Yep. The Dolphins FO wanted Culpepper at that time and boy was it a mistake. That single mistake put the Dolphins back 10 years 😂

I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle.  For those that thinks he's God's gift to coaching and all things relating to it, he's probably not, but he's damn good.  For those thinking that it's only because he recruits top tier talent, he still has to rally those guys to play together with detail upon detail (which he is awesome at).

I didn't look it up, but I remember his Miami teams being decent.  They may have been 1 QB (Brees) away from making serious runs for years.  I personally want him to give another run at the NFL to see what he can do.  He's already solidified his legacy as the best college coach of all time.

Crazy isn’t it, he passes the Dolphins physical, football is completely different today.

I think Wilson is legit. His arm is ridiculous. He needs to be coached up a bit but I believe he'll have a good career

It’s better than losing to the Cardinals when they were in the NFC East.

Pretty common place to ask for pics of wives, girlfriends, cousins, sisters etc  in W.U. especially when Probably was still here it was kinda his schtick. That was what D.U. was going for.
