I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Nah. Wentz has a house here in Houston so the homies can just stop over and say hi.

Yes very awkward.

Who would you rather retain, Wentz or Roseman?

I'll start - Wentz

I like Sam darnold more than most on here. But I’d thats your plan that’s risky. He hasn’t exactly proven to be even good at the nfl level. I think he definitely has talent. I’m also getting the niners are in on him. Before LaFleur left to go to the Jets with saleh it was talked about that LaFleur and shanahan were super interested in darnold.

What is that value?

It is, I believe him and Lance have the highest ceilings in this draft for QB’s. As good as Wilson’s arm is, look at Lance, he has the Vick compact throw and release, his arm is every bit Josh Allen/ Patrick Mahomes strong. He had a few 40 plus yard passes dropped for TD’s because of how hard they were thrown, that’s sick at that distance.  Wilson has a great arm as well and probably more accurate deep ball.  Lance has him on mechanics and footwork, but Wilson obviously has way more tape, if Lance can read NFL Defenses, and learns to put more touch on the ball, (Elway breaking fingers) he’ll be the best QB in this draft.

Agreed. I like Lance as well. Lance needs to learn to run out of bounce and not try to run through people. His mechanics look really good. And he can make throws on the go. No play is ever dead with him. Not too much to nitpick on either

Yes and no. Perceived market value shouldn't determine personal value. Just because teams say he is only worth a 2nd and a 4th doesn't mean they should trade him for that. Taking a gamble on him should be worth more than that to the Eagles. Now, is Howie screwing all this up? Yes. His ego with Hurts throwing Doug out the door and showing his hand that he is determined to go with the kid didn't help.

Same

Josh Allen had 21 dropped interceptions in 2020. Jameis Winston (2019) is the only other quarterback who has had 21 dropped interceptions in the last two years. Jared Goff and Carson Wentz had 20 in 2019.

I wouldn't have guessed that eith Allen

If your car is on the market for 20,000  and you have people look at it and offer you less , but you say no and end up having to keep it , is your car worth 20,000?

Depends on how low they are offering. If they are offering 10k below then yes not worth it. If it is 1000 no. Makes a difference

If you're never offered 20,000,  it's not worth 20,000. The market sets the price.

What are the Colts gonna do? Waste their playoff roster by trading for Darnold?

What about the Bears? Both HC and GM will be fired if they don't have a big year, and that's not happening with Mitch at QB

Eagles need to hold strong, either these teams will meet Howie's asking price or they can go with lesser options and fail miserably.

We'll see 🤷‍♂️

Good for Hurts, he knows he has a real opportunity here and is taking steps to maximize it.

That’s not true it might be more valuable to you to just continue driving it at that point so the value to you is more. Hence more valuable then whatever the person is offering that’s below the value you have. And with cars if the Kelly blue book says 20 you aren’t going to settle for someone offering 10 or 12. So in this case if Bradford who was 1 and 4 you think the eagles are likely not looking at that and saying Carson had 3 better years then anything Bradford had and willing to settle? Likely not.

literally just sold my truck. The value i had was 4500. I got ridiculous lowball offers for 2500. So I waited 8 months and got 4500. So the market changes and there’a always someone looking to lowball you thinking you don’t know it’s true value.

The problem is Wentz has questions too. The eagles trading a young qb screams red flags

The list of athletic, strong armed QBs picked in the top 10 of the draft is far longer than the list of successes.

Instead of salivating on arms, let's find out who can actually read a defense, go through progressions, has touch on the short and intermediate passes, etc..

Michael Vick was probably the most purely talented QB I've seen, great speed, compact release, velocity and accuracy. Problem is he was a one read QB who didn't get real coaching until late in his career. Right behind him was Randall Cunningham, who did everything Jackson and other athletic QBs do these days, same problem.

He absolutely does, but if we can't get good value, then I'd rather he answer those questions here once and for all.

By that logic Brady is worth 5 first rd picks.

This is an example of a very thin market, valuing an asset under incomplete information. Valuations are going to widely vary, and the "winner's curse" applies.

Which is why the right strategy is patience if no one meets a realistic reservation price. Wentz is a valuable option, you don't sell it for peanuts. Options have risk, but that's life.
