Correct.  Our agenda is wanting what's best for the Philadelphia Eagles long term.  Which is finding a stud QB, something Wentz most certainly is not.

The Washer agenda OTOH is to deflect any blame from Carson for his poor play in order to shield him from accountability for his lack of leadership, lack of preparation, and general lack of development into the franchise QB he was supposed to be.

Foles lead the same team Carson Wentz supposedly was having his MVP season through the playoffs and to the SB win. That says a lot to me about that season.

It is interesting that Wentz's career stats align with Phillip Rivers, a very good QB but also one who did not have a lot of post-season success.

First off Mahommes was in need of turf toe surgery. Secondly Mahommes is head and shoulders above Wentz. Mahommes won an SB and is the best in the league   

Rodgers had to deal with a half brain Coach in McCarty and still won despite him. Again Wentz can’t hold Rodgers Jock Strap. Still won an SB been to multiple Playoff runs. 
 

Those guys are proven winners. Wentz has played one whole season and was either injured or average when he played. He’s out classes by both of those guys.

And he set the franchise record for TD’s in a season.

Then he set the single season franchise record for completion percentage the following year.

Then he set the single season passing yardage record the next year.

All while the talent eroded and the injuries mounted. This year it was to much to overcome, and the coach could not figure out how to get the ball into his two best playmakers hands, Sanders and Goedert.

I would be ok with that.  Would prefer a 1st, like everyone else.  But we shall see.  The longer you wait, the better the return.  That is a fact....Especially if Watson is dealt before hand.  Him being dealt can only help Wentz's market.

Not you specifically but anyone who thinks the eagles are just going to find a mahomes or rodgers is ridiculous. The eagles even if you include mcnabb have never found someone on that level since lurie took over. I think mcnabb was a franchise QB but he was never rodgers or mahomes greatness. The odds the eagles somehow find one of those guys even if you move on from wentz is slim as they paid two QBs 100 million thinking they were gonna get close or just below that level of QBing consistently. The odds are against the eagles since they haven’t found one of those QBs in lurie’s tenure. So expectations should be hope to find a QB who can be a franchise QB and if you build the team well around him can compete for a super bowl cause odds are we aren’t getting one of those QBs that can carry a franchise and cover up all those warts. We had 3 singular seasons of that in the past decade and a bunch of just ok or mediocre or bad QB play. Otherwise if we are just trying to find HOF QB then we might be looking for the next 20-30 years and still not find it.

You are fooling only yourself if you think we make it to the Superbowl with Foles starting the season week 1. Just look at the Bears 2020 Foles vs Trubisky. Jaguars 2019 Foles vs Minshew.

I’m not saying wentz is going to be mahomes or rodgers. Frankly i didn’t think he was that when they drafted him nor that he would morph into that. I jus thought if you built the team properly he could be a top 10 QB consistently which gives you a chance. Sadly i think people are more mad at wentz (rightfully so that you are mad with his performance and regression this year) then pissed off that our FO ran it into the ground this fast after a super bowl cause of bad moves and drafting. I’m far more irritated with the direction and dysfunction of the franchise for much of the last decade. I’ve said this before 2017 covers up a ton of warts from the last decade. If we didn’t win that super bowl and somehow julio makes that catch in the divisional round we look back at the 2010s much different.
 

that said Super hard to get Mahomes. However it’s why i think eagles sound ridiculous for saying they are a Qb factory whereas there’s been other teams that have found HOF QBs or consistent franchise level QB play year to year. Eagles never have done that. Meanwhile the eagles have gotten seasons here and there and spent big money twice and didn’t solve the issue

I’d also point out if wentz doesn’t throw a TD pass on a torn acl they likely lose that Rams game with how the offense looked the rest of the game. That was a huge play that season. They basically would’ve had to beat Dallas week 17 and with how the offense looked at that time it wasn’t a given. So if wentz doesn’t do that the eagles likely tie with the Saints and vikings. I believe they would’ve lost the tiebreaker and had to play on the wild card round then win two playoff games in New Orleans and Minnesota. Which i think they could’ve but it would’ve been a much tougher road. Add on they wouldn’t have gotten the two weeks to figure things out with foles. 

Call me crazy, I still think we end up with 2021 2nd/3rd + 2022 1st rounder for Wentz.

Frankly i think they are screwed either way. I was one of the only ones that pointed this out last offseason they with a boat with a hole and tried to fix it with flex seal to stay afloat. Meanwhile it was inevitable due to bad drafting and poor roster moves and bad cap management it was going to sink. I actually think if wentz goes to the colts he has success cause of the structure. Frankly i think the eagles for the better part of a decade have shown you they will have a power struggle once again, some dysfunction behind the scenes and this time they don’t have the young players like end of reid and chip era with cox, lane, ertz, Graham and veterans in their prime to overcome it and right the ship so fast. They are old and their young players are few and far between and their three best are mailata, goedert and sanders which two need new contracts cause they got one year left so they aren’t going to be cheap young players anymore
