What do you like about Fields nd Wilson?  How do you know they would be a better solution for the long term than Wentz?  What do you like about Trask?  Who would you compare him to?  I certainly hope it's not just because we have his old coach as our QB coach.  Because he is a guy on the rise and most likely won't be around for long.  Not to mention, smart teams don't draft players based on their relationships with a QB coach.  Just as smart teams don't hire a QB coach just because of the relationship he might have with a 2nd year unproven running QB.

So.  Since you are so hell bent on shipping Wentz off for whatever.  I'd like to know what you see in those other guys?

I don’t know but it’s my opinion. There are no guarantees in football but I analyze my team and go with what I think the best move is. Sometimes it’s popular sometimes it’s no so popular.

I think people get me wrong because they think I’m trying to convert them to my thinking but no I’m just voicing my opinion. If I see something I disagree with I interject if I agree I’ll say it.

If you think Wentz is the future it’s fine. I’ll say why I don’t think so you can tell me why and that’s that.

I gave my thoughts on Fields not to long ago I’ll do Wilson and others when I get to my notes....Yeah I’m that big a draft nerd....

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Yes he can. Not to worry. He won’t be there at 6. If he is, grab him.

Think about it this way: if it’s not Sewell it’s Herbig.

Unless, of course, we get Nelson from the Colts in the Wentz trade. 😛

Have you checked out Darrisaw yet ?

A center I like I saw listed as the 5th best and rated 3-5 rounder then I see some guys mock on Youtube him going in the end of the 1st to the Ravens, anyways Creed Humphrey and never a C in the 1st

I have heard from Carson's uncle that this is one of the reasons he no longer posts here. He get's that people get upset with Carson's play. But the personal attacks are over the top. He said that one poster even said they wanted to harm the whole family.

If it weren't for most of the people in this blog I doubt I would post here very often, the complete idiocy of some of these guys is astounding.

I don't blame him at all for not posting here, it's a clown show with some of these guys.

If wentz gets traded I truly hope he Fing reams us every time we play him as a reminder to all these idiots who are begging for him to be gone. "BuT wUt iF itS tEH sUPeR boWlzzZ??" if they trade wentz they aren't getting to the playoffs any time soon let alone a super bowl, especially if they keep howie around.

Just get a 1 and some change and call it a day.

Alright Noriega....take this soft team and take anything you learned from watching Aaron Donald workout and put it to work

Fernando Noriega, Head Strength & Conditioning

NFL Experience: 5

Years with Eagles: 1

• Spent previous five seasons with the Los Angeles Rams as the team's strength assistant (2017-20) and a strength and conditioning intern (2016).

• Rams were the healthiest team in the NFL based on adjusted games lost due to injury in 2017, according to Football Outsiders.

In addition to the coaching staff additions, the Eagles also announced new hires and promotions in the Sports Medicine and Performance department.

The Eagles promoted Tom Hunkele to vice president of sports medicine/head athletic trainer; hired Dustin Woods as an associate strength and conditioning coach; promoted Mike Minnis to director of performance nutrition/assistant strength and conditioning coach; and named Shaniece Jackson as the team's new assistant athletic trainer.

That starts with Nick and practice habits. Lets get out of this no contact sissy practice that Doug loved and make some tackles. Lets get that body prepared for full contact.

I'm not sure whats more annoying between Bo trying to be woke every episode or Caplan giving himself a reach around on literally everything. The first 3 mins of the pod today and he was all "Oh, I found out within 3 minutes after Montogomery posted that tweet it had nothing to do with the Eagles. I called my sources and found out right away" while never actually tweeting or reporting anything about it.

It was probably fluid so he couldn’t say anything. He does that at least 1 time every pod

I dunno what you're talking about, the tweet is a slide show and he's the third one there.

I clicked the link in the tweet https://www.philadelphiaeagles.com/news/eagles-announce-2021-coaching-staff

And it's not there. I just checked again too. Not a big deal but I thought it was funny

I dunno, he said "I found out in less than 3 minutes without a doubt he wasn't being moved." He was just being his usual self hype man

Lets drop'em off a cliff and see if they pass the durability test. Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger - am I right?

Could be a Sirianni target. Plus injury history! Makes too much sense.

He definitely overhypes himself and tries to make it like he’s bigger than what he is. Mosher is a little more reserved.

Honestly before this year he played four years prior and played 62 of 64 games. Missed the entire 2020 season so likely would be Cheap one year proven it deal.

We al have to understand we will be on a league min budget for pretty much any FA we go after. We will be getting sloppy 5ths

I wonder if now that the coaches are announced they will have some speak tomorrow. It would be interesting to hear Gannon get peppered with Carson Wentz questions.

Darrisaw is a OT not a C.

However he would the Eagles scheme. Sloppy feet tho.

He missed all of a year and even before that just had an ok, not great season. I don't think he breaks the bank, especially if he does a one year prove it deal.

Plus he had his best seasons with sirianni as wr coach

I'd love to hear them speak just because I want to know more about the schemes

I seriously doubt any speak about Wentz though I'm sure they'd get barraged with questions

If your car is on the market for 20,000  and you have people look at it and offer you less , but you say no and end up having to keep it , is your car worth 20,000?

You aren't going to sell your car for 10k less than you want for it and that is the bottom line. They aren't going to give Wentz away and they shouldn't...if they do How should be fired on the spot cause he has screwed this up.

Fully understand but not sure he will still go as cheap as we need him to go. I think other teams can go a bit higher. I dont see them changing the WR core much unless its with drafting. I think with Nick being an ex WR in the past that was part of why they brought him in. To help fix what we have.

I'd like to know what the blog thinks of Mac Jones - not at # 6 but just in general.

I know he had a lot of talent to work with but I like him a lot - I realize his arm is questionable but I think it's good enough. I also think he throws with such accuracy and anticipation that what he lacks in arm won't matter. What I've seen in highlights - and yes I know they're highlights and the context that brings - but he isn't just throwing dump passes that Smith and Waddle are turning into big plays - he's throwing a lot downfield and always seems to hit receivers in stride.

Thoughts?

Drew Brees, if he can add some arm strength. Brees, especially in his 30s, never had a gun, but accuracy and anticipation can go a long way in the right scheme.

Jones would be a good fit with the offense Siri is going to install. If he drops to the low 30s Howie would have to consider it - after Siri has had time to watch Hurts' college and pro tape and decide if Jones would be an upgrade.

Is that a tanner Vince Vaughn?
