I think the QB market will get another kickstart in a couple of weeks when it sinks in that there’s no Scouting Combine this offseason.  No verified measureables, no testing, no medical exams — and execs are looking at their scouting reports realizing they have nothing to go on but game tape, which in many cases will be from guys who haven’t played in a full year.

There very well might be programs that won’t have Pro Days as well.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

It's a better idea than your idea of wasting $100M over the next 3 years on the worst QB in the league.

Will he be the worst QB in the league next season?

I don't know, but he's unlikely to be top 10 which means we'll be better off without his massive contract.

Same can be said for burrow last year

Burrow's more athletic and way more accurate, imo. Made a bunch of intermediate NFL-like throws at LSU. Also more cerebral.

He’s referencing the same thing I did with the Jacksonville strength and conditioning coach hire. He was fired from Iowa due to racist remarks.

Urban Meyer hired a strength and conditioning coach who left college because players have alleged he is racist

Hard to get much better than 78 % completion %

There is not much difference in their athletic ability to make a difference

Arm strength very similar

Urban meyer did this when he hired Chris Doyle.

Your asking a well known Wentz hater that question?

Also, just scroll down his timeline...

I have the same reservations about Mac Jones that I did about Tua coming out — not fast, doesn’t have a strong arm, throwing to an all-star squad of WR every week who are getting schemed open.  At least he’s taller than Tua.

He will be a late 1st or early 2nd round selection — and hopefully not by the Eagles

Mac isn’t falling out of round 1. I wouldn’t be shocked if he was top 10

Urban Meyer hiring Chris Doyle is just terrible. You have to be a really bad person to get fired for racism at a college program.

On the bright side, happy to see we brought the strength and conditioning coach from the Rams. LAR consistently was healthy under Sean McVay. This is a good sign.

I wish I knew how to do that.  When I click on it, this keeps happening:

"send them back to the ghetto”

Lol I'd love to see him say that to an NFL locker room. How many seconds after that would he be on the ground

So instead of hiring a token black HC, Eagles hire top black assistant coaches, providing them a real avenue to be a HC someday

I feel bad for Duce, but if he really wants to be a HC, he has to get out of the RB coach rut, I mean someone like Sirianni was a WR and a QB coach before being promoted to OC.

If Johnson say helps develop Hurts into a solid NFL QB, his ticket is punched, otherwise he might have to wait until they draft a young QB.

I am amused how people know that Hurts won't be a good QB off four games of his rookie season, heck, Mahomes didn't even play as a rookie.

Lot's of QBs make a big jump their second season, I'll withhold judgement until he has time to prove he can or can't play.

I saw enough to know he has an adequate NFL arm and nice touch, his problem is reading defenses, like most college QBs. We'll find out if he's teachable.

Nah, Fletcher would just use him as a bench press bar.

Though Brooks is the one that would put the fear of God in me, that's a big, big strong man.

Mailata would just stand there puzzled.

You were one of them.  Of course, your story has to change now.

But we were incompetent b/c we let one of the premier HC candidates slip by without even trying to interview him.

I had zero interest in Meyer before this, same with the OK coach, just avoid college coaches without NFL experience, handling a NFL clubhouse of men with money is far different than boys pursuing their dream.

If Mac Jones gets drafted in the top 10 I will not only crap in my boxers, but I’ll have to match Usain Bolt’s running start out of the blocks to avoid doing it twice

I'm not defending his comments and I have no idea what else he may have said.  But there are quite a few players on D1 scholarships who do come from the ghetto.  Heck, Miami used to take pride in finding guys from ghetto and getting them out.

He could easily tell some big white country bumpkin lineman if you don't do better I'll kick your butt back to the farm or some other stereotypical place big white lineman come from.

Again, not defending him, just trying to see why the uproar.

I’m a Big Mac Jones fan.  In the right situation, he could be great.

No, I didn't buy the hype off the four games, I expected Hurts to struggle and running in the first half is not a viable option for a 16 game season. Some people though he had "outplayed" Wentz, I thought those four games just showed how broken the offense was.

Hurts needs a lot of work to be a NFL QB, but he has the work ethic and the intangibles.

I don't think he could succeed under Doug (not sure anyone but Foles), but Siri runs a scheme that will ask less of him than multiple vertical routes and no running game.

Since it's a rebuilding season, I have no problem giving him a shot, in the same way, if Wentz returned, I have no problem with him starting if he wins the job.

I don't want to use #6 on a QB unless they're absolutely sure he has the mental ability to play NFL QB, athleticism and arm strength are grossly overrated.

Brees, Brady, Rodgers in his 30s (ain't running no 4.6 40 these days) don't have close the physical talent of the top college QBs.

He also said he would send players back to the streets among other things. Context always matters, but there were a lot of former players that spoke out against him.
