Darrisaw is a OT not a C.

However he would the Eagles scheme. Sloppy feet tho.

C = Creed Humphrey 2nd or 3rd because he’s just a C

Darrisaw, a top 3 T and maybe if you trade back he would be there mid 1st

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

This is the fate we deserve if Howie trades him after one bad season

Agreed. I really do think Wentz will bounce back, that bar is set very low. Doubt he returns to 2017 form but you never know. But since it seems Wentz wants out, might as well do it if they can’t keep him happy.

I have said,  IF we move on from Wentz don't be surprised to see Howie find a way to get Lawrence.

Watch.

Could also be puts a thought out there that we are looking at QB’s so be warned and jump ahead of us or we could take your guy. That  would probably give us our choice of Sewell, Chase, Pitts or even get a nice trade back because QB needy teams did jump up to get ahead of us

So Wentz > Eagles ... OK. Start WMB, probably never going to see anything close to the 2017 Wentz again so just be ready to let it go, unfortunate

They definitely aren't seeing anything close to wentz any time soon. As long as Howie is here we aren't doing ish. So yea be ready to see a crap team as long as that is the case

I'm a little surprised that the Saints haven't been brought up more in this QB drama. They've said that Winston is "in the driver's seat" to take the QB position but I can't imagine anyone having that much faith in the dude who threw 30 picks in his most recent action.  And that's a pretty solid supporting overall team.

Seems like something they should involved in some of these QB trade talks unless I'm missing something?

Yeah, that 2017 injury maybe he will never be the same. It seems he lost some escapability.( and it seems never to be seen again ) which IMO made him elite-ish. How much do you think he lost ? If it’s not physical that is the bet because that would make him fixable and probably in good hands with Reich Lite. Those guys should’ve figured it out by now but really should’ve had that done before the albatross contract

He lost a ton of escapability, but it looks like he thinks he still has it the way he plays. The new staff can help by moving the pocket so that he can still move around without playing hero ball. A stronger o line will help as well if be can trust the protection.

I’d also point out if wentz doesn’t throw a TD pass on a torn acl they likely lose that Rams game with how the offense looked the rest of the game. That was a huge play that season. They basically would’ve had to beat Dallas week 17 and with how the offense looked at that time it wasn’t a given. So if wentz doesn’t do that the eagles likely tie with the Saints and vikings. I believe they would’ve lost the tiebreaker and had to play on the wild card round then win two playoff games in New Orleans and Minnesota. Which i think they could’ve but it would’ve been a much tougher road. Add on they wouldn’t have gotten the two weeks to figure things out with foles.

Pretty good for a "crybaby" "whiner"

I would send him to WFT for two first rounders. If I'm willing to trade him in general, it means I'm confident he won't play like a franchise QB again, so I might as well ship him to a division rival and take two of their 1s.

Or it means he wants out and we are accommodating him. (Just speculation)

Hopefully the band-aid gets ripped off today.

Eagles should be an attractive landing spot for UDFAs this year.

Got any you like?

i am eyeballing the TE and RB population here

Since this is a dull period with no news, I'll throw out a random hypothetical.

If you had your choice of trading Wentz to the Colts/Bears for one 1st rounder or trading him to the division rival WFT for two 1st rounders, what would you pick?

I prob keep him away from the Skins.  An AVERAGE QB makes them scary with that defense.  If there's a chance Carson gets back to 2017 form (and I think there is), that team could dominate.

I think the more important aspect of the Trevor Lawrence news is that it signals to Carson and the world that he is no longer seen by the organization as the Eagles franchise QB.

Although I think the argument can me made that the Eagles made this point clear when they drafted Hurts but I think this has been the most definitive signal to date. And it certainly means that there is no chance Carson will want to play here again.

Dude we scout qbs every year. Like seriously every year

Very good points.  He's on record stating that he's going to keep playing the same way.  He can't.  He has to realize that and adjust the way he plays.  He doesn't have to be a pure pocket passer, but he has to know he can't scramble and run the way he used to.  He simply needs to tweak his game a bit to adjust for it and he could be just fine going forward.  As to trusting the protection, playing behind a different OL combination every game pretty much destroys that.  As someone posted 2-3 days ago that with each different OL combination the shape/form of the pocket will shift so he was never able to get a good feel for what the pocket is.  It probably took him most of the game every game to get an idea what his pocket was as some OL players block differently and the cohesion of the OL was different every game.  One OL could get pushed back an extra yard each pass play compared to the player who was there the week before who could anchor better.  That changes the shape and definition of the pocket.  Things like this, while on the surface seem minor, make a big difference.

We've seen what he can do under the right circumstances and conditions and we've seen how bad he is when all those things are total ish.  He needs, as we saw from the recent SB that every QB does, the proper help around him.  But, the first step is him being willing to adapt his game to what he physically is now and not what he once was.

WFT for two. No brainer.

One X factor... admittedly a big long shot.  Not saying this is happening, but I am saying it was at the very least attempted.

I have zero doubts the Eagles at the very least inquired on the Wilson situation.  Also no doubt they would go above and beyond to make a deal, if it were possible.  They would give the #6 with additional future 1sts and picks. Wentz if they would take him.  Most face saving move Lowie could make, and you know if there is any opening there they will be looking into it.

If Seattle decides they want to move on, believe that these clowns will give up your next several drafts to do it.  In all likelihood, one of the teams ahead of them could offer a better deal.  The Eagles are a factor though because they have #6 and they are in a more desperate situation in most respects.

Don't you guys know. There is no direct communication there is only sending messages. Right at this moment Carson is scouting GMs

So Coach Brown’s dad was a kicking coach.  Wonder if his hire is to fix Elliott.

Randy Brown specialised in kicking, punting and returners, so you'd hope Coach Brown has learnt a lot from his Dad.  The returners in particular should drastically improve next season

You're losing me here.  Usually I agree with everything you post, but what makes you trust their benchmark for scouting QBs?  I personally think Lawrence is overrated, but even if he is not, why would you trust this idiot scouting department to evaluate the talent?  They're the same ones that decided that Hurts was worth the 53rd pick, and he can't even throw a football like a professional.

Perhaps it will make them realize they are crazy to commit to Hurts.

Yup.
