"carson wasnt good cause he played house all day and hunted in the off season"

^this is the **** that makes philly fans look like idiots

IT was because he went hunting that howie cant draft

It's cause Wentz banged his wife every night that Doug abandon the run

It was cause Wentz drank can beers instead of bottle beers that the Eagles had one of the worst defenses in the league.

Let me guess, you are a grown ass man with a carson wentz poster hanging up in your room.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

No, it was Zangaro ASSUMING a bunch of stuff and coming off like he has personal beef and whats wentz out ASAP.

Assuming its 10000% wentz is out. Assuming he knows the best time to trade him. Assuming this is better than that. Click bait for the fan base to yell from the roof tops that they want the trade done now

Lol. That’s one way to take it I guess.

Siri isn't going to build an offense around Hurts based on his running, that's stupid b/c it's not sustainable.

He's going to try to turn Hurts into a pocket QB who can run when needed, both scrambles and designed runs, but not as the centerpiece of the offense.

A QB who can pass out of the pocket effectively but also run is much harder to defend, because the defense can't focus on his legs, so when he does take off, or you call a designed run or RPO type play, you can catch them flatfooted.

Which means Wentz can run the same offense. The difference from Doug will be more horizontal routes and fewer vertical routes, scheming receivers open underneath.

Doesn't mean Wentz will stay, but it does mean Zangaro is off the mark, Siri isn't going to tailor the offense to Hurts v Wentz, he's going to coach whatever QB he has to run his offense, tweaking it for their skill set, but there won't be separate offenses for each QB. That would be madness since who knows who the QB will be in 2 years.

At least we hope that is what Siri will do.

Is BOB still there?

I know he gets hurt a lot now but still... it's JJ Watt

Hasn’t been real healthy the last few years.  Economically, May be best for the Texans.

JJ Watt makes no sense here.  I hope we don't have fans that actually want him and get upset when he doesn't sign with the Eagles.  Green Bay with his Wisconsin connection.  Pittsburgh to play with his brothers.  Dallas because it seems like a Jerry move and he would stay in Texas or LA to play with Donald are my bets.

@Ace Nova   How much did you donate to the Britt Reid defense go fund me?   Just curious.

Don't get the joke but the little girls gofundme is almost at $500k

I can almost guarantee a return to prominence if Wentz goes there. That would just add another chapter to my life of dealing with a-hole steeler fans.

Pittsburgh doesnt really run the ball.  Not sure if they changed OC's but if Wentz is gonna go there and pass 40-50 times a game, nothing will change with him.

I don't think we could afford him anyway

That's good.

He was in here defending that human garbage monday after the SB.  Saying we shouldn't jump to conclusions....He was also in here spewing that he was going to become a Chief fan and he defends AR and the Chiefs like AFan defends Howie.

Oh. I have him on ignore. Got tired of his drunken rants on gameday and then a few days later come and apologize to everyone

Wherever he does will need to have great rehab facilities, because he gets hurt all the time.

Local media has been after him for a while.  Now radio hosts basically hate him.  As well as a portion of the fan base.  One guy accused him of faking the concussion against Seattle.

Hmmm...I guess it could be the case. I just wanna move on to get the rebuild started. Carson is a QB who needs to be in a situation where he can play without any pressure. Indianapolis is actually a very good spot for him.

yeah pretty sure he's on his 4th bicep and 3rd elbow by now.

He makes sense for a win now team in the role of a very, very rich man’s Chris Long for us in 2017.

Limit his snaps, unleash him in the 4th quarter or in playoff games.

Speaking of Kansas City, they are almost $20 million over the cap with a long list of guys to bring back.  You would think at some point their contracts are going to catch up to them and they have to make some tough choices.

Tanoh Kpassagnon is a free agent this year.  He'll be 27 going in to the season.  I wonder kind of contract he is looking at.  Probably too much for the Eagles but I've always liked him back to his Nova days.

Based off over the cap they have like 81.4 mil in cap space in 2022. I’m guessing they likely can lower some cap numbers and restructure with that amount of space in 2022

End of the day the local media has a strange fetish to run Wentz out of town.

I don't think they care either way (Professionally speaking - I'm sure they are fans and have their own personal feelings). Controversy translates to clicks - Sensation translates to clicks. It's either the greatest ever or worst ever.

Man....this details the QB market and how crazy of a spring it might be.  It might explain why the Eagles haven't blinked just yet and might be best served to wait this thing out a little.  Because there will be a ton of moving parts.

Looking at those options, Wentz looks really good.

I am of the belief that they are not going to just blow this thing completely up and go with Hurts as the long term plan.  I really think they are trying to load up for the 2022 draft.

I look at this team and I don’t see a few pieces for a shot at a tittle. It’s old and deprived of talent. Look at the ages of these guys

Kelce 33

Brooks 31 (injured a lot)

Lane Johnson 30 (injury prone lately)

Peters 39 (MrGlass)

DeSean Jackson (MrGlass2.0)

Alshon Jeffery (Envious of How healthy MrGlass is)

Brandon Graham 32

Fletcher Cox 31

Malik Jackson 31

Darius Slay 30

Rodney Mcloud 30

Now looking at the talent that’s left and I’d say it’s rebuild time. We know how Carson will fare with this team. We saw it last season.

geez, that seems crazy.  Maybe the massive contract they gave Mahomes makes me think they should be in cap hell.

Nah, Lurie called him an asset, Sirianni declined to commit to him and Carson is radio silent just because.

Everything is fine. The media is making it up.

Carson is radio silent to the media.  The media has no knowledge of what communication is going on between Sirianni and Wentz, between Sirianni and Howie and Lurie, between Carson’s agent and Howie. So they are viewing what we are viewing, making calls for tidbits and trying to draw conclusions.  Woodward and Bernstein, they aren’t.  We as readers have to do the same as we have as all readers of the free press, back to the days of the anti-Federalists and Federalists, Adams versus Jefferson, Hearst versus Pulitzer, and the 24 hour "news” channels today.   At this point, I would say that the media reports about the status of Wentz with the Eagles is 5% a smattering of source information and 95% guesswork.  Probably 95% of source information is "leaked” with a purpose.

I'm not seeing 81 million in cap space in 2022

According to spotrac they are over

Top 51 they are 18 million over,  not sure how two sites have such different numbers.

We know already that 4/5 of our OL will miss most of the season and Sirianni will abandon the run game in the 2nd quarter like Doug usually did?

6 minutes ago, 4for4EaglesNest said:

You keep saying that.  Everyone knows it’s rebuild time.  No one argues that.  It’s probably 2 years too late TBH.  But I still wouldn’t put it past Lowie to make a run at Watson or another young Vet.

The asking price for Watson has got to be a joke after Stafford deal. I can’t see it. I’d love it if it did though.
