I'm curious if anyone knows. I know its wiki but Roseman has no background in football, I believe he's a lawyer. So how they hell did he become a GM? Do most GM's have a football background? Reid and Elway come to mind

Howie's dream was to become an NFL GM. He wrote letters to every team. Mike Tannenbaum, then with the Jets passed him off to Banner who found a spot for him, and got him learning the business, and over the years from 2000-2010, he "worked his way up" and finally became GM.
