It's almost as if there can be different opinions among millions of fans.

It's not a monolith.

Lurie Live now!

Yeah, you're missing the point.

Does anyone in the organization have the balls to fire Fipp?

For those that can't watch I'll try to paraphrase the talking points.

Praise for Doug, part of the family.  Gotta evaluate the future and make tough decisions.  What's best for the team.

There were very good reasons for the decision to let Doug go.

  1. Doug flat out lost it with his on field decisions.
  2. He didn't choose coaches well - his best coaches were holdovers: Stoutland, Duce, and Schwartz.
  3. Players just didn't develop under his leadership
  4. Injuries have been a problem for the last 3 years and Doug has been the constant.
  5. His quarterback completely regressed under the tutelage of Doug and Doug's choice Press Taylor

Schwartz wasn't a hold over but press taylor was .

The chat panel is all fire howie 😂

  • Not about deserving based on past.  About moving forward.
  • Doug didn't "deserve" to be let go.  That's not what this is about.  (huh?)

Anyone else hearing these Jason Garrett rumors?

  • rah rah about winning the SB and how great the Eagles organization is/has been
  • More praise for Doug in his role in the SB
  • Disappointing season
  • wanted the Eagles to be a "light" in the dark year of 2020/pandemic

I could never see that. We would be the laughing stock of the league.

This man just lost all future credibility. Said Doug didn't deserve to be let go, he has truly convinced himself there was no other options.

Not expecting much from the PC.  Typical nonsense ... "thanks for your dedication", "it was a pleasure to work with him", "it was time to move on", ...

I mean...we usually are anyways right?

That is terrfying.

So after every bad year we will be firing a coach now?

  • After talking to Doug, felt the path forward was best for us to part ways.
  • Thinks it's best for Doug, expect him to be a successful HC in this leauge.
  • Wouldn't be surprised if he were hired as a HC this week elsewhere.
  • Will speak to any owner to vouch for Doug

think he deserves an interview.

I think he has been interviewed twice. Don't know if they were real or Rooney rule box check.

How about Howie?

Watch us do it...honestly.

Prepare for a completely underwhelming list of candidates to be interviewed:

Jason Garrett

Marty Mornhinweg

Ben McAdoo

Mike Kafka

etc

I wouldn't say so. We've been pretty damn successful the last 20 years. We're trending in that direction though.

Lurie just called out Alshon 😂

He's not answering questions.  Just redirection and word salad. This is the owner of our favorite team. Fans should be outraged whether you like Doug as HC or not!

He sure is beating around the bush on his buddy Howie.

So he saying that they sold the future to win the SB and made mistakes after with personell and draft picks so naturally fire the coach for those decisions 😂

Insane that absolutely everybody knows that Howie is the #1culprit yet he's the one that stays.
