Wow, you snowflakes are impressive.

This is very normal behavior you can really support, amirite?

 yes, a snowflake. One Governor who doesn’t want to send his constituents to the Capitol has your panties twisted, and I’m the snowflake. We agree on a lot of stuff, but this one is such a political show from both sides it’s not worth even arguing over. D governors have refused to send NG before as they didn’t want to send their guys "for a photo op,” remember? It’s all political posturing.

When was this?

Come on Outlaw, you're really defending that nonsense?

And yeah, kind of sad that he's the GOP "next in line".

It’s no more laughable than all this faux outrage about it. It’s stupid politic games that in the end mean little to nothing. Would life be easier if he just said sure and sent a couple hundred troops? Of course. He’s being a child. But I’m not going to clutch my pearls and get all bent out of shape about it.

How is this a political show from the Dems?

Because they are requesting NG from other states to be there (to surround a fenced in Capitol) in addition to Capitol police and DC NG’s to put on a show of political force because there is a convoy of dumb truckers going there to protest Covid mandates that have already been dropped. It’s all for show.

We all know the Capitol doesn't need to be defended

Is not a governor who refused to send troops. Try again. Proof of your claims, please?

Please show another governor (you specified Dem) that refused to send the National Guard to the Capitol when called.

I see your point there. I do. But look at Biden’s inauguration which was more recent than 1/6. Unnecessary NG troops living in parking garages, etc. because they weren’t needed.

So you truly don’t remember Trump reaching out to Democratic governors during the Floyd riots requesting them to send in their national guard troops to restore order to the streets? DeSantis is posturing and trying to defy Biden for political show. Like I said, he’s being a child here. And Biden is requesting NG that won’t even be needed for anything other than political show. Let’s surround the Capitol in fencing and uniformed troops to offset those stupid truckers so we can get the video shown ad nauseum on the 24 hour news cycle for a few days.

Protecting the capital that was attacked a year ago is for show...ok.

The point I made that you brushed over was that using a more recent point of reference…the inauguration…there were tons of Capitol police and DC NG there. In addition, large swaths of outside NG troops who were sent there were completely superfluous and sent off to sleep on the floor of the senate cafeteria, in parking garages, etc. There will be plenty of uniformed police and troops there to make sure the D’s get their desired photo Ops without other states contributing. This was a request. People can say no to requests. They may look like toddlers sticking their fingers in their ears and yelling no like DeSantis is here, but it’s his right of refusal.

  You're being a pretty massive partisan on this one.  Absolutely no way you'd be criticizing the Republicans if they were providing security for an event.  It's okay to admit that DeSantis is being a moron show pony about this.

I just said he’s acting like a toddler.

So you have no instance of a governor of any sort refusing to send troops to the capitol, but it happens all the time and you're okay with it.

Gotcha.

I am once again asking you for proof of any governor refusing a request like this one. You said Dem governors do it a lot. You should have no trouble finding ample proof of your claim, then.

No, I said refusing to use the NG. You get so twisted over some of the stupidest ish these politicians do. The Dems want a nice photo op, and DeSantis is being a baby and folding his arms and saying no for no reason other than to pander to his base to defy Biden. Just dumb all around.

Nobody wants to talk to House Freedom caucus about whatever BS they’ve cooked up.

There seem to be a lot of things that are just too hard for you to say. Interesting.

Not as interesting as getting all up in arms over typical partisan BS.
