Amazing considering her father was considered to be Darth Vader. I wouldn't press the "principles" issue too far. Politicians are principled when it's convenient.

July 3, 20223 yr Liz Cheney is super conservative. But she’s not a conspiracy theorist, which puts her at odds with the MAGA folks.

Convince the GOP body elections are being stolen, so that they feel the need and the moral obligation to actually steal it. Not a stretch to believe when the government demonstratively fails to enforce laws and makes excuses for not doing so. If it continues I don't doubt it gets worse.

Though most research funding comes from the federal level and private grants. States don't provide much beyond undergraduate subsidies. What's more ridiculous is that the more radical right wing legislation becomes the more you push colleges and universities away.

July 5, 20223 yr Author Maybe.. and I'm just spit balling here .. maybe if the right didn't continually support and pass laws specifically crafted to be hostile to the educated class and attempted to create a platform (HAH!) that had any appeal to people under 40, they could compete on the merits of their solutions rather than trying to coerce the population through policy .... Man it sounds crazy when you type it out like that.
