November 9, 20223 yr If Boebert loses her seat, I know she closed her restaurant, so maybe back to her previous escort job?

Nothing about the result being a rejection of Trumpism, only queefing about the legitimacy of the outcome. A Trump-backed candidate lost not because of his association with Trump, but because of fraud. This is why Trump won't be unseated as the nominee. The delusion runs way too deep.

Losing means the other side cheated. There is no other way to explain the situation. Looking inward is not something they can do.
November 9, 20223 yr the gop boasted and bragged about a giant red wave that coming. what we actually got....
November 9, 20223 yr If GOP takes the house, who’s there to challenge McCarthy for speaker ? I’d hate to see that Trumper lead.

Well, there have been several who have not taken the denial path. I suspect many of them understand that the mass of voters in the middle don't want to hear anything more about that crap. Naturally, there are many that continue like the Lake witch in Arizona. Below is the Oz concession. Quote This morning I called John Fetterman and congratulated him. I wish him and his family all the best, both personally and as our next United States Senator. Campaigning throughout our great Commonwealth was the honor of a lifetime, and I will cherish the memories and the people I met. Pennsylvanians showed up with passion and a vision for a bright future that I found inspiring every day. I want to thank my supporters, so many of whom worked tirelessly to spread our message and support me and my family. "We are facing big problems as a country and we need everyone to put down their partisan swords and focus on getting the job done. With bold leadership that brings people together, we can create real change. As a Doctor, I always do my best to help others heal. That's why I ran for Senate. I hope we begin the healing process as a nation soon.

November 9, 20223 yr I’ve watched a bunch of both CNN and Fox today. I saw multiple Fox reporters talking up democracy as an issue and indicating the GOP path needed to be forward looking, i.e. not Trump based. The other point they made was to talk about how they needed to rethink the narrative on abortion.

They can drop Trump (though I don't think they will), but there's absolutely nothing they can do about abortion. It's one of their few core issues and it was a huge draw for Dem turnout yesterday. Short of a bill codifying Roe into law from the Dems, which obviously can't happen now, Reps just have no opportunity to change the narrative there.
November 9, 20223 yr Hopefully, what is next is DeSantis becomes the head of the GOP. The problem is Trump will declare in two weeks and DeSantis may not want to jump into a civil war, especially when the primary is rigged against him. The 5th avenue supporters will stand behind him no matter what and burn the party down if he doesn't somehow get the nod. Those of us who will vote for him if we have no other choice because we hate the Dems even more will be left feeling pissed off and may stay home. The best thing that could happen to the GOP is Trump gets indicted and convicted. That would solve multiple problems. We get DeSantis and the 5th Avenue people won't blame him and stay home in 2 years. 2 minutes ago, VanHammersly said: They can drop Trump (though I don't think they will), but there's absolutely nothing they can do about abortion. The primary system is rigged to where most states may not even have one if he declares. Those of us who want DeSantis may not get the chance for 6 years.

I don't think they'll will and, like you say, they may not even get a chance to, but it's certainly a more plausible scenario then changing their position on abortion. That one's pretty cooked in.

If the Dems were smart they would step back and let it go at this point and watch the GOP rip itself apart of sink their own ship.
